More fun at the fair SAN PEDRO Fair extended after last week’s storms

By Eleanor Hawkins The authorities have announced that San Pedro fair, which ran from October 14 to 19, has been given a new lease of life. The fairground will be back up and running from this evening, Thursday 22, until Sun-

day to make up for lost time due to last weekend’s storms. As torrential rain fell on the fairground last Sunday night, police and Civil Protection officers were ordered to evacuate the fairground as a preventive measure, disappointing fair-goers and attraction owners alike.

Casetas and bars will not be open, but rides and stands will run from 6pm to midnight tonight and on Sunday, and from 6pm to 2am on Friday and Saturday. Youngsters and parents in particular will be pleased to hear that rides will all cost just €2.
