Gridlock as angry cabbies protest MALAGA sees 4,000 taxi-drivers descend on the city

Malaga City ground to a halt as more than 4,000 angry taxi-drivers from across Spain and hundreds of protestors on foot descended on the city to fight for their rights. The action was called by three local taxi associations, Aumat, Taxi-Union and Tamat, with the express support of the FAAT Andalucian Taxi Federation, yesterday morning (Wednesday). Taxis from as far afield as Barcelona, Madrid and Valencia

took to the streets against what they say is a mortal blow to the public taxi sector. Cabbies told Euro Weekly News that they are worried about
