The people have spoken THE Partido Popular (PP) conservative party has won the elections in the majority of Axarquia and Costa Tropical municipalities, despite haemorrhaging votes. In Almuñecar, the PP conservative party got 35.54 per cent of
votes and two more councillors, eight in total, although far from the 11 needed for an absolute majority. The PP also won in Motril with 10 councillors, although losing the majority. The high rate of abstentions amounted to a significant 43.62 per cent.
