Nepal volunteers home safe and sound FATHER and son were working for a charity
By Eleanor Hawkins Alfonso and Fonfi Muñoz, two volunteers from Malaga who were stranded in Nepal after the devastating earthquake, have arrived home safe and sound. The father and son were doing volunteer work for Meena Ghale Nepal charity when the earthquake hit on Saturday, April 25. “We’re very lucky to have
got out in one piece. There’s nothing left standing and all I can think about is how we can help all those people,” said 68-year-old Alfonso after landing at Malaga. The two men, who were met at the airport by friends and family, told how they managed to get out of the country on a flight to New Delhi. The quake is believed to have killed more than 5,000 people.
