A €26m cash boost THE Central Government is to allocate more than €26 million to the Axarquia. According to figures from the General State Budget (PGE), recently made public by the Ministry of the Treasury and Public Administrations, the Axarquia is to be allocated more than €26 million in 2015. The funds are to be invested in a series of projects and programmes. A Malaga Court sentenced the man to six years at a mental hospital for killing a patient from the Velez Malaga Mental Disability Centre where both used to live. According to the court’s final ruling, the defendant “took advantage of the victim’s physical and mental deterioration.” The victim fell to the ground hitting his head on the pavement and the defendant started to

hit him and to stamp on his chest, which caused him internal injuries that resulted in his death the following day, said the court. Furthermore, the ruling states that the defendant was mentally handicapped at the time and displayed behavioural disorders which affected his intellect. The defendant is to spend the next six years at a mental institution. He is also to pay the victim’s family €10,000 in compensation.
