Printing money! A MAN, described as Spain’s greatest forger of €50 notes, has been arrested. National Police, working with Europol, arrested the 60-year-old who is thought to have printed €3,000 a day. The police operation dismantled a laboratory and has brought down the biggest network of forgery and distribution in Spain. A police spokesman said the forgeries were considered to be among the 10 best quality in all of Europe. The detainee initially

began working from Mijas, but later moved to a villa on the outskirts of Toledo where police seized €15,000 and 90,000 dollars in forged notes. A self-taught expert in

graphic art, he worked with a purpose-built oven for drying the notes. He reportedly did not work for any particular organisation and carried out the forgeries on

demand from clients. As well as €50 notes he was also a master of the 100 dollar bill and could forge a variety of ID documents.
