Uncover the mystery and heritage of Nerja caves THE Nerja Caves foundation has organised a series of free activities to mark the celebrations of the 12th Week of Science. These will allow the public to explore the natural heritage and culture of the caves and understand the results of the scientific investigations that take place there.

One of the activities, available until November 19, invites visitors to explore all of the hidden aspects of the caves with an expert. Visitors will have the chance to uncover the mysteries behind numerous and varied geological formations found in the cave, including the well-known stalactites and

stalagmites, lesser known ‘soda straw’ stalactites and cave pearls. Another activity beginning today (Thursday) will allow visitors to experience the lesser known parts of the cave and their scientific installations. Aspects that usually go unseen by visitors will be highlighted in this activity,

Road closed THE MA-4105 road will remain closed until November 22 due to repair work. Drivers from Sedella and Salares are advised to use the MA4107 and MA-4108 roads instead.

Each activity takes around three hours and take place from 10am to 1pm.
