The Tax Agency reveals wealthiest towns in Malaga Province by Michael Cano THE town of Benahavis has been declared as having the highest average annual gross income per capita in the whole of Malaga province at €28,428.
This is according to 2015 figures just released by the Spanish Tax Agency after reviewing the detailed income reports of every town and city in Spain with a population in excess of 1,000. come with overseas payments, but this is the first time that the town has been able to push the usual winner Rincon de la Victoria into second place. Malaga City with 569,009 inhabitants takes third place, followed by Marbella and Alhaurin de la Torre with the wage earners in a total of 13 towns having average gross earnings in excess of €20,000. When looking further into Andalucia, perhaps surprisingly five towns in Cadiz province have larger gross annual incomes than both Malaga and Marbella, with residents in La Linea de la Concepcion actually earning more than those living in Benalmadena, Torremolinos and Fuengirola.
