Brenzone The country of Brenzone covers an area of 50 square meters. The area includes the towns of Castello, Castelletto, Marniga, Magugnago, Porto and Assenza plus other smaller villages that are closer to the mountainside.

The town has not grown much in size and has preserved many characteristics of the past...many quaint fishermen’s villages clustered around a port and many rustic rural hamlets in the hills. The small island of Trimelone, which up until a few years ago was used as a military depot, sits near the shore in front of Assenza. As tourism is its main industry, the lakeside is lined by many hotels, residences and camping sites.

Numerous restaurants offer local dishes and specialties from the area (fish, olive oil, wine, etc.).

Many are the different kind of sports: sailing, windsurf, waterski, diving, paragliding, mountain bike, trekking.

Garda Garda (from Warda = guard, lookout, place of observation post, survillance etc.) is positioned at the centre of an large gulf, between “La Rocca” and “Punta S. Vigilio”. Garda has a characteristic town centre, with old rustic houses, winding lanes and small squares.

Fishing is still quite important and kept alive by spectacular festivals one of which is the “Sardellata al Pal del Vò” (a sardine feast), that is held in July, during the evening of the full moon, on the lake.

The vast hinterland offers a great number of interesting walks/hikes and a wide range of sports.

Bardolino At the center of the “Riviera degli olivi” (Olive Riviera), in a lovely gulf, Bardolino is one of the most enchanting places on the lake. It is famous world wide for the production of the “Bardolino” wine, a young, fresh and inviting wine, ruby red or claret in colour, excellent as a table wine. The “Bardolino” Wine Association has prepared a suggested route, properly marked out, through the villages and localities of production. It is a journey not only admist luxuriant vineyards and old farms in which winemaking is carried out using traditional methods, but also through the history and art, villas of the past centuries, romanesque churches and castles.

Lazise Between Bardolino and Peschiera lies the town of Lazise, whose name comes from “lacenses” that means “lacustrine place”.

The ancient nucleus of the town has medieval origin; it is surrounded by the walls erected by the Scaliger Family in the 14th century and its charming setting is dominated by the castle.

With its picturesque nooks Lazise is an enchanting place especially the square (piazza) and the small port, still animated by fishermen’s boats. The characteristic narrow alleys are full of shops and arcades with bars and restaurants face the small port of Lazise.

Peschiera Peschiera del Garda is a fluvial and lacustrine town which lies on the extreme south-east point of the lake, where the Mincio river begins its course.

The Mincio river is the only effluent of Lake Garda.

The huge bastions, the city walls and barracks enclose the historic centre in a “belt” made of stones and bricks. Peschiera del Garda is an extremely important commercial and touristic centre; the shore to S. Benedetto di Lugana, and the hinterland as well, offer picturesque nooks, typical restaurants and nice excursions among the olive trees and the vineyards.

Sirmione The peninsula of Sirmione, approx. km 4 long, is much frequented because of its thermal spas. The peninsula has a luxuriant vegetation of olives, cypresses, laurels and magnolias. The remarkable Roman buildings, the tombstones, the capitals and other remains, testify to the ancient importance of Sirmione. The prosperity of Sirmione, besides the Roman period, was particularly demonstrated under the domination of the Scaliger and of the Venetian Republic. In the 13th century, the Scaligers built the Castle or Rocca Scaligera, erected as a fortress inside the ancient walls surrounding the Medieval Village. Presently the Castle is said to be the most beautiful of the surviving Castles of the Scaligerian Age.

“LA ROCCA” WALKING TRACK From the Lake one goes up to 291 meters above sea level and from the Rocca Vecchia (Old Rock) immediately deep into the typical Gardesana landscape, where the presence of mankind already thousands of years in a balanced way fits in an environment, shaped by glaciers and mellowed by a rich Mediterranean vegetation. The trail curls between the hills of the inland, altering its height between vineyards and country houses, from where it runs down towards Bardolino’s centre, affording a pleasing view over the Lake.

As every year, in 2016 the “THORSTENNIS” Tennis School puts motivation, fun, being in good company, and physical activity foremost, as well as the importance of learning from the beginning correct techniques or improving one’s knowledge of tennis. Participants to the courses are subdivided into groups according to their level of playing tennis (maximum 4 persons per group).

Immersed in the magnificent scenery of Lake Garda and its picturesque hinterland, caressed by the mildness of the climate and the fragrances of the rich mediterranean vegetation, the HOTEL CÆSIUS THERMÆ & SPA RESORT, a new and extensive hotel complex, consists of 5 buildings in an area of approx. 40,000 m2 surrounded by gardens.

The hotel, separated from the lake and the public beach by just the Gardesana road, is only 1.8 km from the town of Bardolino, reachable in 10 minutes on foot along a footpath by the lakeside, or with the hotel’s shuttle bus. Situated in a corner of paradise near the beautiful city of Verona, it is easy to reach from Verona Airport as well as the motorway exit of Affi on the Modena-Brennero motorway (7 km) and that of Peschiera on the Milan-Venice motorway (12 km).

Comfortable and elegant, the structure has a mediterranean flavour and a warm and bright atmosphere.

The complex has a reception, 6 lifts (the suite buildings are without lifts), garage with parking spaces for 200 cars, bars, extensive public areas with free internet connection, terraces, gardens

and restaurants: restaurant “Benacus” with a very rich buffet breakfast from 7 to 11 am and on half board or Half board menu à la carte with 4-course meals and salad buffet as well as the restaurant “Le Vele” which is open during the summer period. Possibility of ayurvedic and special diet menus. Within the gardens of the hotel are 5 swimming pools: 2 pools for adults (30m x 16m) and (15m x 9m), 1 hydromassage pool of 177 m2 and 2 children’s pools of 80 m2 and 25 m2. All the pools have sun loungers and umbrellas, 1 gazebo bar for a pleasant lunchbreak by the poolside or to enjoy freshly squeezed fruit juices, rich in vitamins. Starting from the middle of May to the end of September it is possible to enjoy a half-day excursion on the San Nicolò boat (availability to be checked and

confirmed at the hotel). The Hotel CÆSIUS THERMÆ & SPA RESORT also offers a wellness and thermal spa centre, over an area of 3,000 m2.

The wellness centre has an indoor heated swimming pool (200 m2) with hydromassage pool attached (80 m2), sauna, Calidarium (steam bath), Mediterraneo, shower treatments, cold bath and large relax areas with juices. Solarium (at an extra cost). Furthermore, for an extra charge, the wellness centre offers a private wellness area which is possible to reserve for 2, maximum 4 people. The area includes: 1 Laconicum, 1 Calidarium, 1 Hammam, a massage table and a private relax area.

The “Caesius Beauty Center” is an oasis of beauty where you can pamper your body and enjoy different treatments and massages, for example facial treatments for anti-stress and anti-ageing, pedicure, manicure, body peeling, full body massages, shiatsu massage, rasul, foot reflexology, massage with hot stones, lymph drainage, relaxation massages and many others.

The thermal spa packages also offer the opportunity to follow a correct nutrition programme. Under the guidance of an ayurvedic expert, traditional ayurvedic treatments are carried out. Initial medical visit with pulse diagnosis, personalized programmes based on the dif-

Borgo Mondragon The splendid Borgo Mondragon is an ancient court dating back to the 1300’s and is located just a short stroll from the centre of Lazise. The court was tastefully restructured in 2010 and is now a beautiful, comfortable holiday complex of great class and prestige.

Atlantide This new structure is positioned directly on the lake front and is just divided from the beach by the Gardesana road. It lies just 200 metres from the centre of Assenza di Brenzone.

The apartment complex is made out of 4 separeted buildings and is positioned in a terrace style manner; there are a total of 46 spacious one bedroomed or two bedroomed apartments, situated on groundfloor, first floor and second floor. All units are furnished in a modern and functional way. Each apartment offers dishwasher, telephone, safe, satellite link-up colour TV, coffee maschine, air conditioning, heating and equipped balcony or terrace.
