Billed as the world’s first AI-powered recovery assistant, iYU by French brand Capsix offers a self-guided, science backed massage experience. Designed to complement human touch and not to replace it, the iYU’s medical-grade robotic arm and bio-inspired hand deliver an onskin massage with or without massage oil.

Created by robotics engineer François Eyssautier, physiotherapist Stéphane Rollet and AI expert Carole Eyssautier, the iYU robotic arm adapts with responsive pressure to match the user’s movements and breathing. It can be used alone or as a complement to hands-on therapy.

The iYU’s massage protocols are designed by therapists and built on an advanced 3D human body model. Every session reproduces the same pressure, duration and manoeuvres, but the system uses AI algorithms to adapt each massage to the user’s body, in real time.

iYU experiences – for muscle relaxation, deep tissue massage and a soothing Swedish-style ritual – can last between 20 and 50 minutes and can be enhanced by an immersive sound experience for deeper relaxation.
