NETWORKING PLATFORM TURNS 15
PRODUCERS ON THE MOVE is celebrating its 15th anniversary of bringing up-and-coming producers together for networking opportunities and promoting them widely in Cannes. Since 2000, EFP and its members have selected more than 300 producers from 35 European countries and helped support their cross-border cooperation on future projects. Many of them are still in contact with one another and several have become partners on international coproductions, seeing their films premiering at international film festivals around the globe. Congratulations to all of them. This year, the members of EFP have again made their selection and chosen 24 aspiring and highly promising producers for the initiative during the Festival de Cannes 2014 and the Marché du Film.
The programme will take place at the beginning of the festival from May 17 to 19. EFP will once more be creating a highly focused working environment including project pitching, oneto-one meetings, a case study, and social events as well as extensive promotion of the producers through profiles in the international trade papers. We would like to express our warmest thanks to the MEDIA Programme (2007 – 2013) of the European Union for its on-going financial support of this initiative. We would also like to thank Eurimages for its continuing support. Keep an eye on this talented group of producers. Many names will become international players in the future. A graduate in Film and Media from the University of Copenhagen, Eva Jakobsen worked at Zentropa from 2004-2007 and joined Nimbus Film in 2008. A graduate of the Atelier Ludwigsburg-Paris, Henning Kamm founded DETAiLFILM together with Fabian Gasmia in 2007. A graduate of Bratislava’s Academy of Performing Arts, Mátyás Prikler made his feature debut as a director with Fine, Thanks, which had its premiere in Rotterdam in 2013. His company MPhilms produced the omnibus film Slovakia 2.0, which consists of ten short films directed by ten directors across the generations, and Jaro Vojtek’s drama in four episodes, Children. Petter Lindblad founded Snowcloud Films in early 2014 to focus on animation films for children and young people. Previous to this, Petter had worked at Copenhagen Bombay as a producer on Anders Morgenthaler’s The Apple & The Worm, Esben Toft Jacobsen’s The Great Bear, and Sweden’s first stereoscopic feature film Beyond Beyond, also by Toft Jacobsen. He is a co-producer on the international fantasy film The Golden Horse and is now developing Maria Avramova’s 3D animation feature Benny And The Kids with his new company.

European Film Promotion (EFP) is the only existing international network of organisations promoting and marketing European cinema worldwide. Founded in 1997, the EFP network now comprises 35 professional organisations from 34 European countries, who are experts in promoting and marketing their own national cinema. Under the EFP umbrella, all of these organisations work together on the promotion of European films and talent around the world. To this end, EFP devises, organises and carries out promotional activities and events on behalf of films, directors, producers, actors and other film professionals.
