Noosa EV Expo a winner
Noosa Junction’s main street Sunshine Beach Rd was transformed last Sunday into the venue for this year’s Noosa Electric Vehicle Expo. It was the fourth Expo hosted by Zero Emissions Noosa. Positioning the event in a major tourism and commercial hub was a big step forward for introducing all shapes and sizes of e-vehicles to the many hundreds of visitors keen to learn about the latest developments and then to relax at a nearby café or shop.
Local motor enthusiast Mick Millington found a lot to like A buzz of excitement surrounded the at the Expo, particularly the exhibitors at each of the displays as keenness of the QUT students with their race car project visitors gained first-hand experience of more sustainable transport options Sunshine Beach students Nono now available and vehicle conversion and Toby with Hamish Black explaining the possibilities. Visitors inspected electric concept of swappable batteries via radiocontrolled miniature Ferraris and a Kombi cars, e-bikes, e-scooters, mopeds, e-buses and trucks. Trial ride opportunities interested some visitors, others were enthused by the presentations from universities and schools, while others enjoyed chatting with electric car owners about their experiences of owning and Cont. p3 driving e-vehicles.
