THANK YOU FOR YOUR SERVICE RYAN! Sgt Ryan Hanlon has accepted the position of Officer in Charge at Cooroy Police Station which became vacant with the recent retirement of Officer in Charge Sgt Mal Scott. Ryan said, “I am not moving far but with that comes the challenges of occupying a brandnew police station.” Sgt Nick Van Der Maat from Noosa will work at Eumundi until a new sergeant is appointed. That appointment is expected to be announced by December. Ryan has been a police officer since October
1998. He worked for 5 years at Mt Isa including 6 months at Doomadgee and Normanton, Airlie Beach, North Stradbroke Island and Rockhampton. He was a sergeant at Longreach and Bribie Island before being Officer in Charge of Woodford from 2014 to 2018. Ryan took up his post at Eumundi Police Station in 2018.
