A WORLD CLASS EITRY etman Sahaidachny is a Bruce Farr designed ' 2 n d generation' Whitbreod 60 yacht. Construction was carried out at the Kharkov Joint-Stock Aviation Factory in the Ukraine using Laser-beam technology to achieve accuracy to the Farr ings of 0.02-0.03mm, a standard unlikely to be exceeded.

Im close co-operation with Fox's Marina, Ipswich, on omplete rig, hydraulics, engine,

electronics and other ancillary equipment were sourced the UK and flown to the Ukraine for installation. The yacht was launched on the Black Sea in August '93 and sailed non-stop to the UK via the Mediterranean. The design,' construction and professionalism of the Ukrainian entry has impressed spectators and rival syndicates around the world.

The Joint-Stock, Ukrainian commercial bank, GRADOBANK, has under written the principal development and operational costs of the Hetman project. The bank is confident of realising its investment by attracting commercial interest worldwide to expand its activities outside the CIS. The Ukrainian airline, AIR UKRAINE INTERNATIONAL, has provided free air travel for Hetman personnel throughout the early stages of the project and is assisting with the ground crew travel between stopovers during the race itself. The airline operates modern Boeing 737- 400 aircraft daily from Kiev to major European cities.

KISPO are leading Ukrainian manufacturer of shoes of all types and have supplied the syndicate with advanced footwear. As well as sports shoes, Kispo have manufactured shoes for space flight projects. FOX'S MARINA (IPSWICH) LTD have supported the Hetman project throughout. They designed and manufactured the ent~rerig and sourced much of h e boat's sophisticated hardware, navtgational electronics, engine, generator and hydraulics.
