¶ Pro-choice people of faith, speak out now
If Roe v. Wade is struck down by the Supreme Court, it will be spun as a win for people of faith — but it is not.

People of faith are part of the majority in the United States who believe that abortion should be safe, legal and accessible. We are called to create a just world, and we believe advocating for reproductive freedom is a sacred part of that work.
The time is now for us to be outspoken and emboldened in our support of abortion access.

¶ Mickey Mouse should flee Florida
Republican Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis, the delusional dimwit who actually believes America wants its next president to be a book-burning fascist who is so weak and wimpy that he’s terrified of transsexuals, won the governorship in 2018 by only 30,000 votes. The Disney Corporation employs 80,000 Floridians. You do the math! Best of luck running for president in 2024, Ron the con, after Florida votes you out in 2022.
If any state should be known as “the free state” in this “United” States of America, it is my home state of California. After all, one out of every eight Americans is a California resident for a reason! (A multitude of reasons, really.) An idea whose time has come that is worthy of the Golden State and its internationally successful CA-born Disney Corporation is DISNEY WORLD BAY AREA. (“Opinion: Disney should leave Florida. It’s time for DeSanty World,” Dana Milbank, April 22, The Washington Post)
If necessary, the California crew of Mouseketeers will move every last piece of Disney World (including Epcot Center) back home from Orlando to California in the dead of night, just like the Mayflower movers surreptitiously relocated the NFL’s Colts franchise from Baltimore to Indianapolis back in 1984. Except no one will feel sorry for FL.
If you keep Ron DeathSantis in office, Florida, we Californians will be taking Disney back ASAP. Just saying. You don’t have to like it. We’ll do it anyways.

¶ This is a scary moment
According to a leaked draft opinion, the Supreme Court is preparing to dismantle abortion rights across America. As a result, 26 states could outlaw abortion, including 13 that have passed “trigger” laws to take effect immediately after the Court overturns Roe v. Wade.
This news should set off alarm bells for all Americans. Our fundamental freedoms are coming under attack by a hyper-partisan supermajority on the Court. And this could just be the beginning. But there’s a way to fight back, which is why I’m urging Congress to pass the Judiciary Act of 2021.
The Judiciary Act would rebalance the Supreme Court by adding four new seats, giving us 13 justices in total. It’s just what we need to move away from extremely partisan rulings and restore the legitimacy of the Court — and it’s been done before. In fact, Congress has changed the size of the Supreme Court seven times already in our nation’s history. A recent poll showed that the majority of Americans support expanding the court again now.
It’s past time for Congress to get on board with this crucial bill.
