arthur's Arthur’s double-decker patio and deck is a quiet, laid-back oasis tucked away on Hyde Park Square. Surrounded by ivy-covered brick and lit by old-fashioned gas lanterns and hanging lights, the outdoor space is the perfect setting to enjoy delicious food and fantastic service. Colorful tablecloths and cloth napkins complete the picture. Arthur’s carries a wide selection of salads, appetizers and sandwiches, but the burgers are the centerpiece of the menu, which range from classic beef patties to a handmade black bean burger that’s perfect for vegan guests. Other menu favorites include wonton poppers, a cod sandwich, fried cheese and, of course, the Arthur’s brownie. Guests can load their burgers with included toppings for no extra charge during Burger Madness every Sunday, Monday and Tuesday. Fausto at the CAC From local brothers and restaurateurs the Ferrari Brothers, the Contemporary Arts Center’s forthcoming Fausto café will feature California-style cuisine — lighter, vegetable-forward fare with lots of citrus and olive oil. While the café itself is inside, the quaint and covered streetside patio — part of what architect Zaha Hadid called the museum’s 'Urban Carpet,' a continuous concrete surface that begins at the sidewalk and extends through the lobby curving upward all the way to the skylight at the top of the building — features three tables with seating for nine. Nestled alongside the CAC's glass-encased Kaplan Hall, with a view of changing contemporary art installations and performances from world-renowned artists, dark gray round tables and red chairs are surrounded by seasonally-arranged planters. The menu will change so often that every week will feel like a special item or rotation of ingredients. Fausto’s specialty will be feeding people good food in a creative atmosphere. Fausto, 44 E. pompilios Pompilios is a casual, Italian-American family restaurant specializing in Italian-American cuisine: pasta and meatballs, Italian sausage, lasagna, fettuccine alfredo, chicken parmigiana, risotto balls, toasted raviolis, etc. They also have sandwiches and a kids menu, and a bar menu with flatbreads and specialty burgers. Pompilios offers music outside on Friday and Saturday nights, weather permitting. The outdoor scene is intimate in parts, while spacious and energetic in others. A beautiful tree spreads over some of the dining area and offers shade on warmer days. The covered dining area is a great place to take in a bocce game or a sporting event on TV. The restaurant has a weekly happy hour 3-6 p.m. Monday through Friday with discounted food and drinks. On the patio, they have a specialty drink menu and a threetap beer system featuring a Bocce Brew, a seasonal beer by Braxton Brewing and other local brewers. Samuel Adams cincinnati Taproom The Samuel Adams Cincinnati Taproom, located across from the Samuel Adams Cincinnati Brewery at the Urban Sites’ Film Center Project adjacent to Findlay Market, features a giant indoor taproom and adjacent outdoor patio. With authentic biergarten tables and benches from Germany, along with a gas firepit surrounded by Adirondack chairs, the more than 3,500-foot paved patio is family- and pet-friendly.
