In Stăuceni, the Alley of the Covenant of Mayors for Climate and Energy was planted

The Alley of the Covenant of Mayors was planted on Thursday 22 October 2020, in the park at the entrance to the city of Stăuceni, Chisinau.

The planting event was attended by the Mayor Alexandru Vornicu, Deputy Mayor Sergiu Lazarencu, representative of the European Union Delegation to the Republic of Moldova, Ion Guzun and the national expert of the Covenant of Mayors in Moldova, Victor Parlicov. Planted was a total of 22 lime trees. The seedlings planted on Aleea Primarilor have a protected rooting system, which ensures 100% degree of attachment. Eight trees were purchased from the EU Project “Eastern Mayors’ Convention” (CoM-East)

The seedlings were offered by the EU project “Covenant of Mayors - East”, as a prize for the active participation of the Week. Also, the alley was decorated with trees purchased by the Stăuceni City Hall. locality in the European Sustainable Energy and 14 seedlings came as the contribution from the locality.

Stăuceni city joined the Covenant of Mayors for Climate and Energy in 2017.
