Eton has continued to expand and evolve. This year alone, we expect to open Blakes Tower, a mixed-use 36-storey high-rise development, and Eton City Square’s first phase with 7,200 square meters of available leasable area. More remarkable plans are underway as we increase our footprints in Metro Manila and beyond the South, while constantly reassessing our current and future developments to cater to emerging trends. I would like to commend all employees involved in these projects for not sacrificing quality in their work. We continue to uphold the standards and practices that Eton has set throughout the years. ETON SUPPORTS QC LGU’s CAMPAIGN:
QC PROTEKTODO Eton
Properties partnered with the Quezon City Local Government Unit (LGU) and Medicard to help them in reaching their target of vaccinating 100% of its residents. The property developer recently transformed its event venue, Centris Elements, in the BPOIT lifestyle hub, Eton Centris, along EDSA, as a vaccination center to support the LGU in reaching its objective of a Covid-free city.
Quezon City Vice Mayor Gian Sotto thanked Eton Properties for setting up Centris Elements as a venue for the city’s vaccination drive. “Having Eton as one of our private partners will help us in reaching our goal to protect all our Quezon City citizens. With Centris Elements’ strategic location, the vaccination site became more accessible to everyone, which in return made it easier for us in the LGU to accomplish our goal of 100% QC ProtekTODO,” Sotto said.

Fight against COVID-19 With neglect, COVID-19 can quickly spread and infect hundreds within a single day. However, with strict implementations of health protocols, it can be tracked and controlled. The Human Resources (HR) department has been making sure that they do just that. For the company’s safety, its employees, and their families, the department implemented different initiatives to protect everyone from the virus.

Flexible Work Arrangement & Physical Distancing
Through a flexible working arrangement, there are fewer employees working within the office in a day. Because of this, there will be fewer people in contact with each other.
Going Digital The office now uses Zoom as the primary application when it comes to meetings. This allows the employees to gather and meet their objectives without being in contact with each other. Webinars and trainings that the HR department spearheads are also conducted through this application.
Health Declaration Forms & Contact Tracing Everyone must fill out health declaration forms before entering the premises. Contact Tracing is also done by submitting a list of close contacts to the Safety and Health Team. This will help them safely and efficiently control the situation.

Proximity Cards To further reduce contact, the HR department provided proximity identification cards. These cards will be used in logging in and out of the biometric system in place of fingerprints.

With the pandemic still in the process of being resolved, it’s already commonly known that most businesses struggle to open. On the other hand, those that do open would most likely have experienced delays because of the limited manpower and the changing guidelines for construction, general offices, and store operations. However, Eton Properties is proud to say that it was able to lease commercial units to three tenants that opened in the first half of 2021 alone. Eton Centris welcomed Bojourne’s Cloud, a cigarette and vape kiosk, last February 2021 and Security Bank last March 2021. As for Eton WestEnd Square, it welcomed the opening of TeaTree Spa last March 2021. TeaTree Spa offers massages, facial and beauty treatments, and nail treatments.

According to Alvin Abrantes, Eton Properties’ Assistant Vice President for Training and Organizational Development, “Our goal in the department is to be of service to our fellow employees.” With this in mind, the department consistently provides webinars that could help employees feel empowered and inspired.

WISH FM TIE-UP Eton Centris’ Valentine event was a live performance by Neil Pedrosa from Studio 7 of the GMA Network. Pedrosa serenaded couples who went to Eton Centris to celebrate Valentine’s Day early. However, to adhere to the community quarantine protocols, Pedrosa did his performance within the WishFM bus. Because of this, the audience witnessed a new way to experience a concert. As they enjoyed their taste of live music for the first time in a while, they were assured that they were in a safe space. Before the concert started, Pedrosa first had a swab test to ensure everyone’s safety. Other than that, strict social distancing and health protocols were observed at all times. This event was indeed a great approach to benchmark a “new normal” way to enjoy music.
SPOKEN WORD ARTIST FEATURE Eton Centris invited the spoken word artist Steffi Villa to convey the message of celebrating love, hope, and trust through spoken poetry. For this event, Ms. Villa wrote a piece called “Sa Muling Pagkikita”. Her inspiration for this was about the promise of two people to see each other again even after being separated.

Property Update SAFETY MEASURES IMPLEMENTED To help contain, control, and reduce the possible spread of COVID19 within the properties, Eton Properties (EPPI) and the Eton Property Management Corporation (EPMC) – Asset management Group developed a COVID-19 planning guideline based on traditional infection prevention and industrial hygiene practices with inputs from Philippine Constructors Association Inc. This planning guideline is in addition to the standard occupational safety and health guidelines of the Department of Labor and Employment in the construction industry.
