Jill Gerber, has been a Senior Program Member for many years, and at some point, at the end of 2022 she was speaking to Charlene and offered to fix her broken bracelet. Charlene and Jill got to talking and Charlene asked Jill if she would ever be interested in teaching a Beading class for the Seniors. The rest his history. Jill started her Senior Beading class in January 2023 and has since also volunteered at senior parties, the food pantry, a commissioner job fair, front desk coverage for employee events and the list goes on. When asked “what made you want to start the Beading class,” she said “I really wanted to make new friends, and I genuinely love helping people. I also love the staff and wanted to be part of the Community Center.” You have done just that, Jill. Thank you for your service.
