Acknowledgements

In 2023, ESWS made significant efforts to support marginalized groups including children, single-parent families, individuals with disabilities, senior citizens, local communities, and Korean-Filipino children, by operating 27 domestic and international project sites.

In faith and obedience to the words in the Bible to ‘care for orphans and widows’, ESWS has offered nationwide support for employment and business start-up of single parents who are solely responsible for livelihood and raising kids. We have helped approximately 9,700 individuals with severe disabilities who have difficulty finding jobs by offering them specialized vocational training and tailored employment support projects. We have cared for and supported Korean-Filipino families struggling with extreme economic hardship and discrimination. We have also carried out relief activities for female heads of impoverished households in Sri Lanka, which is facing an unprecedented national bankruptcy crisis. Currently, the world out there is in a severe economic crisis due to wars and power struggles. In spite of this, we have been able to accomplish missions entrusted to us thanks to our donors who generously support marginalized and struggling neighbors. This year as well, ESWS, as a trusted institution for a long time, will continue to work with much greater transparency and diligence, prioritizing the vision of 'every life is precious and should be respected,' and will make our utmost efforts in fulfilling our responsibilities.

We will reciprocate the unwavering support and trust you send with a heavy sense of responsibility. We deeply appreciate your continued support and concern and we look forward to creating a brighter future together for our marginalized neighbors.
