INTRODUCTION

A verbal phrase, also called verbal periphrasis, is a construction that is formed with a conjugated verb and a verboid. Sometimes, it can also incorporate certain links. The conjugated verb works as an auxiliary and provides all the grammatical data (tense, mood, person and number). The verboid, for its part, gives the global meaning of the verbal phrase. Verb phrases can sometimes be confused, so it is important to keep in mind •

They consist of a conjugated verb.

•

They function as a single unit, that is, as if they were a single verb.

•

They are fixed structures, that is, they are stable forms.

When we explain our travels and adventures around the world, these types of phrasal verbs appear on the scene. The phrasal verbs of travel are present and inescapable in the traveler's vocabulary.
