Facials - Level I
This intensive certified Facial course includes training in bacteriology and sanitation, cell structure, muscle and skeletal systems, skin histology and physiology, disorders and diseases, skin type evaluations, extractions and massage. Students will learn differentiating techniques that add relaxation and nurturing to the facial. Procedures will include a basic deep pore cleansing facial with steam, specialty facial and an introduction to acne, anti-aging, and sensitive skin facials. In addition, you will be introduced to the use of high frequency. Models required. Quotas required. In-person training (theory and practical).
Facials - Level II
Body Treatments
This hybrid or online course includes theory on cellulite causes and cures, thalassotherapy and benefits on exfoliation. Topics covered include cellulite massage techniques, body exfoliation and body wraps. Specifically, you will learn and experience the Peppermint Sea Twist Body Wrap, body exfoliation and a Seaweed Body Wrap. No model required. Students work on each other with a variety of body treatment products. Hybrid course (online theory prerequisite and in-person practical).
Waxing
This advanced class is for those with basic facial certification who would like to expand on their existing knowledge of the skin and advanced treatment protocols to further address skin care concerns of clients. The course includes knowledge and experience of Repéchage skin care treatments. Theory will include a study of the circulatory, lymphatic and nervous system and how it relates to the skin and body functions. Students will also gain a thorough understanding in the uses of electrotherapies including rotary brush, suction, Lucas Pulverizer, high frequency, galvanic, ultrasonic skin scrubber and the use of LED. Models required. Hybrid course (online theory prerequisite and in-person practical).
This hybrid or online course will provide you with the theory, knowledge and step by step procedure of effective, safe and comfortable hair removal on all areas of the body. Theory will be covered in the areas of bacteriology and sanitation, anatomy of the hair, contraindications and more. Students will be introduced to several, premium quality waxing lines, imported from various countries and will learn the benefits of different types of waxes. Students are required to actively participate in the course as they will be working on each other on day 1. Models required for day 2 & exam. Quotas required. Hybrid course (online theory prerequisite and in-person practical).
Brazilian Waxing - Optional Modality (Not available for online students)
This advanced workshop is for those who have previously completed a waxing course and want to expand their services to include this specialized treatment. Students will work with various types of waxes including award winning, hard waxes from around the world! Students will be required to work on each other in this workshop. No model required. In-person training (theory and practical).
Body Sugaring
Threading Hair Removal
This course will provide you with the theory, knowledge and step by step procedure of effective and safe Threading hair removal. Students will learn all the application techniques necessary to perform face and eyebrow Threading, making you well informed and confident to practice your new skill safely. Students will also review eyebrow shaping and measurement techniques to ensure the ideal brow shape are achieved for the client. A brief study of the background and benefits of Threading will also be reviewed. Quotas required. Models required. Hybrid course (online theory prerequisite and in-person practical).
In this certified class, taught in a hybrid or online format, you will learn the art and theory of safely and effectively removing facial and body hair using an all natural permanent method of hair removal. Learn the benefits and professional techniques behind Sugaring and how this can be a great alternative to traditional hair removal methods. Learn from a certified Sugar of the Nile Professional Body Sugaring Instructor. Model required. Hybrid course (online theory prerequisite and inperson practical).
Makeup Artistry Level I - Fundamentals of Makeup

Makeup Artistry is very competitive and always evolving; the certificate elevates you above the competition with knowledge and experience from accomplished professionals. Manicures + Pedicures (Combo Class)
Pedicures Level II - Advanced
The course provides the comprehensive theory and practical training required to recognize and treat various foot and toenail disorders. Topics covered include foot and toenail anatomy, diseases and disorders, diabetic and pregnancy foot care. You will also receive comprehensive hands on experience and knowledge in electric filing, corn removal and treatment of ingrown, deformed and fungal toenails. In addition, the course focuses on revolutionary light cured resin designed for toenail reconstruction. You will also learn proper salon and spa sanitation procedures in accordance with the Canada Health Act. Models required. Quotas required. Students will receive a comprehensive advanced pedicure kit, including a cordless electric file! Advanced Hybrid course (online theory prerequisite and in-person practical).
Lash & Brow Styling
This intensive combined Manicure and Pedicure course will provide you with the practical skills and theoretic knowledge to become a certified Manicurist & Pedicurist. The program provides comprehensive theory and practical training, which covers topics including client consultation, hand, foot and finger and toenail anatomy, nail disorders and diseases, methods of sterilization and sanitation and demonstrations of superior manicure and pedicure techniques. You will gain hands on experience in nail treatments, hand, arm, foot and leg massage, precise polish and French polish application, paraffin wax treatments and hot oil treatments. You will also learn proper salon and spa sanitation procedures in accordance with the Canada Health Act. Models required. Quotas required. Give your clients several treatment options designed to highlight and accentuate their eyes! Brow and Lash services are continually growing in popularity. These highly effective and safe procedures allow individuals to enhance the appearance of their lashes and brows.
Lash Lifts will give the appearance of longer, lush lashes. When you add tint to lashes, it gives the eye a more open, refined and refreshed look. Brow Lamination can help tame unruly hairs or give a more full look to sparse brows. Brow tinting can further help accentuate the eyebrow and draw attention to your client’s gorgeous eyes. Lash and Brow services are an excellent and easy addition to your esthetic services menu.
This course will teach you the step-by-step, simple methods of Eyelash Lifting, Brow Lamination and Eyelash and Eyebrow Tinting. Three models are required for this course. Students will be required to complete an online theory component before the course. Training at the school will be focused on achieving strong practical proficiency in Lash Lifting, Brow Lamination, Lash Tinting and Brow Tinting. Esthetics Career Prep Workshop
The Esthetic Institute aims to give our students all the tools they need to launch a successful career in the Esthetic industry.
