Electrolysis Program - Model Requirements

The success of your program depends on having enough supervised hands-on practical experience. Models are a requirement of the 120 supervised practical hours. Prior to finalizing enrollment in the Electrolysis Diploma program, we recommend that you generate a list of reliable models that will be available for 1-2 hour sessions on practical days (see course schedule you are enrolling in for practical details).

It is recommended that you find approximately 8 models (male or female) who would be open to receiving electrolysis treatments on:

➔ Large Body Parts:

- Bikini

- Legs - Chest - Back - Underarms

➔ Small Body Parts:

- Upper lip

- Chin - Eyebrows - Sideburns

CONTRAINDICATIONS: Selected models cannot be contraindicated; this means they cannot be pregnant/breastfeeding (may get it done after 1st trimester based on doctors note), pacemaker/defibrillator, blood disorders, severe skin infections/conditions (active infections, cold sores, warts, open wounds), metal implants/pins near treatment area.

MODEL REQUIREMENT DAYS: During the 15 days of in class attendance, there will be 9 days where models are needed. The model days are Day 4,6,7,9,10,11,12, 14 & 15.

Model times will be morning and afternoon sessions on those days with a break from 12-1pm for lunch. Models may bring lunch with them.

COST: Model cost for the service is $25 per session; if the model is returning for subsequent practical days, a new model fee applies for each visit. This model fee is to cover the cost of disposables and/or products used during the service.

CLIENT PRIVACY FORMS: Models must fill out a client intake form that will be used for training purposes as well as safely secured by the school on a server for liability purposes; PIPEDA rules are followed in regards to collecting information. The hard copy of the forms will be destroyed upon course completion.
