SITE INSPECTION

We offer a “Tour de Esterhazy”, so that you can visit our event locations, and a joint brainstorming session where we can suggest ideas and give an outline of the numerous options available for a perfect event.

FINE CUISINE

No event is complete without high-quality catering. At your request our catering partners can suggest a range of menu options or create a customised quotation for you. Prefer to bring your own caterer? Naturally that is also an option.

TECHNOLOGY AND FURNISHINGS

All our locations are equipped with the usual range of seminar and presentation technology, and appropriate furnishings such as tables, chairs, tall tables, and bar and buffet modules. If you need additional technical equipment or any other kind of furniture, our local partners will be happy to help meet your particular requirements.

PROGRAMME

Cultural and leisure elements can be integrated into your plans at all Esterhazy event locations – such as tastings, tours, concerts or other setups. A range of options and programmes specially designed for MICE guests is available to enhance your event; for team building events we can develop customised activities for you. Ceremonial events and distinguished gatherings have a long history at Esterházy Palace in Eisenstadt. For several centuries the palace was home to great concerts, gatherings and celebrations. This tradition continues today in a similarly sophisticated style. Here, where Lord Nelson once listened to the music of Joseph Haydn, the atmospheric setting is inspirational.

This beautiful and historic palace, the chic palace district and excellent restaurant all combine to create a historical location to suit the most sophisticated events. The beautiful rooms inside the palace are steeped in history, yet also offer cutting-edge infrastructure for events of many types and sizes. Esterházy Palace regularly hosts receptions, conferences and conventions, gala dinners and corporate events.

A professional event management team handles the practicalities, acting as the interface between the event host and local companies or those further afield, and is responsible for creating the appropriate infrastructure for each event.

ESTERHÁZY PALACE – A GREEN EVENT LOCATION

We decided to become a licensee for the Austrian Ecolabel 62 in order to advance and support this initiative and encourage more Green Events in Austria, in Burgenland – and specifically in the Esterhazy locations. We are proud to contribute to improving the sustainability of our environment. Esterházy Palace, for example, is the first certified Green Event location in Burgenland.

Tip:

An elegant gala dinner in the Haydnsaal followed by a DJ party in the Garden Room and on the colonnaded veranda – the perfect combination.

The Haydnsaal is the heart of the palace. It is well known not only as the place where Joseph Haydn played and conducted, but also because of its fantastic acoustics and magnificently colourful frescoes.

The Haydnsaal is both an internationally famous concert venue and an ideal location for a wide range of events. Conferences, presentations, wine tastings, gala dinners, corporate events, celebrations and much more all take place here regularly. This rich variety of events reflects the versatility of the hall itself.

HAYDNSAAL

The hall can hold 300 to 650 guests; state-of-theart technology and lighting allow the atmosphere in the Haydnsaal to be changed to suit any occasion.

The Haydnsaal leads directly into the Garden Room, which in turn opens onto the palace park.

On warm days guests mingle on the colonnaded veranda, which offers a unique view of the Leopoldine Temple in the park.

Eisenstadt

The palace ceremonial rooms are ideal for exclusive receptions and celebrations of varying sizes. Set on the southern side of the palace court, they are decorated in 19th century style.

The various rooms are furnished functionally, with sizes to suit from 20 to 250 guests.

Each room is equipped with the latest technology for multi-media event presentations. The ceremonial rooms can be booked individually or as a group and are also available for exclusive receptions before concerts.

A special highlight of this venue is the palace balcony. From here your guests can enjoy a wonderful view over the rooftops of the town, and the Pannonian plain beyond, as far as Lake Neusiedl.

Tip:

Make the most of the lunch break at your event with a beautiful view of the palace. The terrace and the old palace stables at Restaurant Henrici offer the perfect opportunity.

The unique ambience of the palace district surrounding Esterházy Palace brings together contemporary and historical elements, music and art, fine cuisine and wines. The old stables and guardhouse are now home to two of the gastronomic highlights of the town: Restaurant Henrici and the Selektion Vinothek Burgenland. During summertime they both offer fabulous views of the palace square and the palace. Inside the buildings, contemporary artworks are displayed in a historical setting.

Restaurant Henrici serves elegant Mediterranean cuisine with a Pannonian touch. Next to the restau rant there is an additional event hall which is ideal for a seated dinner or for dance parties.

THE PALACE DISTRICT

The Selektion Vinothek offers an impressive range of wines from Burgenland. The Vinothek itself can be booked too, perhaps for an exclusive tasting or simply to share an evening with guests in a relaxed atmosphere.

Coffee connoisseurs will love Café Maskaron in the inner court of the palace. The façade of Esterházy Palace is decorated with Italian-style mascarons –the grotesque masks after which Café Maskaron is named. The Maskaron was awarded the Burgenland Architecture Prize in 2010.

Eisenstadt

The Orangery in the palace gardens in Eisenstadt is a picture-perfect location for elegant events. The baroque splendour of Esterházy Palace and the extensive gardens around the Orangery together form an enchanting setting for extraordinary events.

The glass construction of these historic hothouses gives them a light-filled elegance; the scale, variety and number of the conservatories here make this one of the most important sites of its kind.

Back in the nineteenth century the Orangery was already being used to welcome illustrious guests. Today the Orangery is still an impressive venue for celebrations, gatherings, summer parties and corporate events.

There is a plenty of space, and in fine weather the stylish outdoor area in front of the Orangery can also be used.

ORANGERY IN THE PALACE GARDENS, EISENSTADT

INDOOR SPACES & OUTDOOR AREA

Built on what was originally the northern edge of the palace gardens, the Orangery is now in the centre, since the gardens were extended at the beginning of the 19th century. Nikolaus II had an extensive complex of hothouses built here, which became famous far and wide because of the plant collections they housed. Botanists and gardeners travelled here from all over Europe to marvel at the buildings and plants, and other aristocratic and royal houses including that of the emperor himself acquired plants from here for their own collections.

At the heart of the Orangery complex is the Octagon, where grand receptions have been held ever since it was first built.

It opens to the east and west wings of the Orangery and today is still the perfect place to welcome your guests in style. The adjacent sections, which once housed the showiest treasures of the plant collection, have tall glass windows with modern shade fittings which can be used if required. This venue has room for up to 350 people seated in rows, or 180 people for seated dining.

The beautiful natural light in the Orangery and its idyllic position in the centre of the palace gardens make it ideal for wedding parties, corporate events and balls. In fine weather the Orangery terrace can also be used.

Eisenstadt

Around Lake Neusiedl, on the slopes of the Leitha and Rosalia mountains, and in central Burgenland the vineyards produce multi-award-winning wines. But that is not all –history has left its mark too. And history is still being made here by special events in unique locations.

Leitha limestone was already being quarried at St. Margarethen as far back as 2000 years ago. Today the quarry forms an imposing backdrop for festivals and concerts.

The Esterhazy Winery was founded in 2006 in Trausdorf, close to a historic estate. Here, as in the revitalised Kalandahaus, modern facilities are available for a wide range of events.

Forchtenstein Castle is one of the emblems of Burgenland, and Lackenbach Palace is not only a destination for keen gardeners and nature-lovers – it has also made a name for itself as an event location. These places form the backdrop for unforgettable experiences.

ESTERHAZY WINERY & KALANDAHAUS

A special place for special occasions. Set amongst vineyards, and yet easily accessible, the Esterhazy Winery is known for its outstanding wines, which have won both national and international awards; it also hosts a wide range of events. Wine may well be the focal point – but it doesn’t have to be.

The facilities at the vineyard are designed to be used for seminars, presentations, gala dinners, celebrations or photo shoots. An expert team at the vineyard is available to help – not just with wine queries, but also with organising extraordinary events.

With the conversion of the dairy farm at Trausdorf, a new Kalandahaus was created at the end of 2015, providing a modern convention centre right next to the Esterhazy Winery.

The building has a richly historical character, and can be subdivided into several smaller spaces, making it ideal for workshops or small-group meetings. Modern catering facilities and elegant, versatile furnishings allow flexibility for events with up to 250 people.

Wine, light, glass and stone are combined here in a striking combination, creating the perfect setting for your event at Esterhazy Winery.

The large event hall on the first floor of the winery is flooded with light, providing a delightful setting with enchanting views. An expansive glass wall creates a smoothly flowing connection between the interior and the natural surroundings. Your guests will love the wonderful views, and in fine weather they can take their aperitifs onto the adjacent sun terrace to enjoy the scenery from there.

Forchtenstein Castle is a conspicuous landmark in the Rosalia mountains that can be seen from far away and enjoys a commanding view right across the plain to Lake Neusiedl.

The towering keep of the castle forms the backdrop for special events in a spectacular baroque setting. Elegant rooms and furnishings, art, culture and top-class cuisine combine here to provide an incomparable location for events such as company celebrations, product presentations, press conferences, receptions and much more.

The Café Restaurant Grenadier opened in 2015 to provide meals and refreshments for visitors to the castle. There are function rooms on different levels which can be booked separately for seminars or corporate events.

HIGH CASTLE & VAULTED CELLARS

The prestigious interiors of the castle keep at Forchtenstein feature banquet halls with historic picture galleries, magnificent chandeliers and delicate frescoes. This elegant setting for exclusive events is also equipped with state-of-the-art technological facilities.

The historic vaulted cellars of the castle, used since the 17th century for wine storage, exude a touch of mystery. They have been carefully renovated to retain their special ambience, and are now also equipped with contemporary technical infrastructure. These rooms are ideal for large parties and celebrations.

In the centre of the historic castle keep is a large vaulted room on the lower level, and above it the tower room, which opens onto a terrace with a wonderful view over the surrounding landscape.

The Café Restaurant Grenadier, inside Forchtenstein Castle, is the ideal venue for an event with a history-related theme.

The dining rooms combine a historic atmosphere with modern interiors: In the centre of the castle keep is a large vaulted room, and above it the tower room, which opens onto a terrace with a magnificent view over the surrounding landscape to Lake Neusiedl.

These rooms can also be used as individual spaces, with seating for 40 to 90 guests altogether.

Catering matters are handled by our experienced kitchen team, who will treat wedding guests to home-made, local dishes prepared to the highest culinary standards.

The event facilities at Lackenbach Palace feature elegantly proportioned modern rooms, designed to integrate beautifully into the historic architecture.

The calming, clean colour schemes in these rooms combine with natural wood features to provide an attractive environment for a wide range of events.

Nature is the overarching theme throughout this palace in the countryside. Windows and doorways offer fabulous views of the romantic park around the palace, which are also available for event bookings.

Team-building with a cookery workshop in the Chef’s Salon

The heritage-listed “Oberjäger” guest house stands in the newly restored arboretum in the idyllic grounds of Lackenbach Palace. It includes overnight accommodation with four double rooms, a suite and a junior suite.

The interior of the guest house is decorated to reflect the wonderful diversity of fauna and flora in this region: dragonflies, birds, butterflies and roses adorn the walls, soft colours and stronger tones characterise the rooms, with a wonderful elegance throughout.

OBERJÄGER GUEST HOUSE

The interiors combine vintage style with modern elements, and the furnishings include unique historic items from the “Esterhazy Private Collection”. Each room is individually themed, with distinctively styled furniture and decoration.

The gastronomic focal point of the guest house is the Chef’s Salon. This is where breakfast is served. But guests can cook here too. This superbly equipped kitchen is large enough for cooking seminars. Or to prepare some refreshments for yourself in the evening.

As one of the most stunning open-air arenas in Europe, St. Margarethen is more than just an imposing backdrop for cultural events. Its hospitality areas, such as the open air lounge, the two-storey artists' house and the two stages, each with tiered seating, are all equipped with modern infrastructure; this impressive theatre in the rocks makes product presentations, cultural events, corporate celebrations or automotive events truly unforgettable. The quarry is a perfect setting for unique photo shoots and on-location filming.
