WATERFORD’S MUSEUM OF TREASURES

Welcome to the award-winning Waterford Treasures – Three Museums in the Viking Triangle, situated in the heart of Ireland’s oldest city. Three museums within a few paces of each other tell the 1100 year old story of Waterford from its foundation in 914 AD by Viking sea pirates. The massive stone fortress, Reginald’s Tower, houses Waterford’s Viking treasures. MOUNT CONGREVE GARDENS Mount Congreve House and Gardens is home to one of the “Great Gardens of the World”. Located in Kilmeaden, the gardens overlook the River Suir and feature over three thousand different trees and shrubs plus many more varieties of plants of interest. MEDIEVAL MUSEUM Waterford is home to Ireland’s only purpose built medieval museum incorporating two medieval chambers - the 13th century Choristers’ Hall and the 15th century Mayor’s Wine Vault.

DUNMORE EAST Dunmore East is a small fishing village in County Waterford, famous for its beaches, fabulous scenery and traditional thatched cottages. A popular destination for family holidays, artists, walkers and sailing enthusiasts – there is something for everyone here.

GREENWAY At 46km, Waterford Greenway is the longest off-road walking and cycling facility in Ireland. It stretches all the way from Waterford City to Dungarvan, running along the old railway line. The route takes in eleven bridges, three viaducts, and a long tunnel. Along the way you can find the site of a 9th century Viking settlement, the ornamental gardens at Mount Congreve, the Waterford and Suir Valley Heritage Railway as well as some of the most stunning scenery in Ireland.

PROMOTION OF THE REGION Our founder Regina Mangan, on behalf of Liberty Blue Estate Agents, has assisted the IDA and Waterford Council with foreign investment-related visits. Regina contributes regularly on local and national media on property and business matters. She is proud to have spoken at prestigious events such as Crystal Valley Tech job summit, The Chamber of Commerce annual dinner, International women’s day for the LEO and a number of Bank of Ireland events. The Liberty Blue team secured €10,000 through Enterprise Ireland Innovation vouchers to fund the research and publication of an “Invest Waterford” document, used by Waterford Chamber to attract funding and investment. Liberty Blue Estate Agents represented Waterford Chamber of Commerce on the David Mc Williams national television show, Republic of Suburbia. The key messages Regina delivered were that people who live in Waterford are €8,500 - €10,000 better off per year versus those who live in Dublin and staff retention in tech and pharma is 90% compared to 55% in Dublin. Regina contributes regularly on local and national media on property and business matters and speak at prestigious events such as Crystal Valley Tech job summit and other Chamber and Bank events.

CORPORATE SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY STRATEGY IS FOUNDED ON THREE PILLARS:

1. LEADERSHIP AND SUPPORT Building a sustainable business economy.

2. MENTORING We share our experience and knowledge with entrepreneurs through the Waterford Chamber of Commerce Leadership programme, students at Waterford Institute of Technology, Junior Achievement and Local Enterprise Offices with the aim of developing professional and personal growth.

VOLUNTARY DIRECTORSHIPS Both of our Directors, Regina Mangan and Maria Clifford, have been Board Directors for the regional Chambers of Commerce. Regina sat on the Local Enterprise Office Waterford grant funding committee for 5 years, is a former President of Network Waterford and Ambassador for Waterford City Council.

VOLUNTARY JUDGE DUTIES Regina has been a judge for Ireland’s Best Young Entrepreneur Awards in Waterford and Transition Year business awards.

3. COMMUNITY & CHARITABLE ORGANISATIONS Helping community groups and charities to fulfil vital functions.

PIETA HOUSE We are honoured to have been involved in helping to secure terms for the first Pieta House in the region. Regina was Director of the Darkness Into Light Waterford event for many years.

ROTARY Regina is an active member of Rotary Waterford, running charitable activities for the community. DOWN SYNDROME IRELAND AND WATERFORD MARINE SEARCH AND RESCUE Liberty Blue Estate Agents is proud to be able to give support annually for fundraising campaigns.

ST. VINCENT DE PAUL For the last 10 years Liberty Blue has run annual fundraising coffee morning for St Vincent De Paul and the WLR Hamper Appeal. Regina has received Best Social Contribution Award from the Local Enterprise Office Waterford in recognition of her work for our community.

ENVIRONMENT We understand the importance of protecting our environment and we continually seek ways to ensure our impact on the world is only positive. For example, at Liberty Blue, we invest in technologies so that clients don’t have to travel to our offices, we can arrange virtual viewings and can meet with clients over video link, reducing the carbon footprint in each scenario.
