Fitness Spotlight New Toys

Introducing the Bulgarian Bag by Escape Fitness located on the new Escape rig. This oddly shaped sandbag is a fun and effective functional tool designed to be easier to maneuver. There are three different weights-an 11lb green bag, and 17lb blue bag and a 26lb red bag. Use the bag as resistance in traditional exercises like lunges, stepups, squats, bent over rows, and curls or try out more dynamic explosive moves like side to side swings, spin swings, clean and presses, and snathces.

Check out the quick demo video here: https://www.youtube.com/shorts/Mv i00hMM h4 by resident strength and conditioning coach, Marc Cornell, on some easy ways to incorporate the Bulgarian Bag into your routine! Questions?! Ask Marc next time you’re in!

Wellness Spotlight: Sleep & Fitness

Did you know sleep is one of the best performance enhancers? Lack of sleep can:

❌ Increase cravings for high-calorie foods

❌ Reduce fat loss & muscle preservation

❌ Lower energy & workout performance

Fun Fact: A study found that people sleeping 5.5 hours lost 55% less fat and 60% more muscle than those getting 8.5 hours, even on the same calorie deficit!

Next month, we’ll share tips for improving sleep to help you achieve your fitness goals and boost your quality of life!
