THE META WORLD CONGRESS 2023 THE FUTURE IS NOW

The metaverse market size is the talk of the tech world, with a current worth of €461,775 million and an expected worth of over €5 billion by 2030. Already, there are over 3 billion people with access to the metaverse and by 2024, over 2 billion people will be utilising augmented reality tech. If the idea of online universes ignites a spark in your mind, then head to the Meta World Congress. It will be taking place both in real life and in the metaverse, from March 31 to April 1 at La Nave de Madrid/Metaverso.

WHAT WILL THE EVENT COVER?

The Meta World Congress will comprise a series of exhibitions and talks by leading experts, covering a myriad of immersive activities related to the sector. Topics covered will include:

» The Metaverse (a collective virtual open space where virtually enhanced physical and digital realities converge).

» Web 3.0 (a collection of ideas that incorporates technologies and concepts such as decentralisation, token-based economies, and blockchain. Thanks to Web 3.0, all users are owners of their own data and they can interchange ‘digital actives’, which are represented by tokens).

» Virtual Reality (a simulated experience that can be similar to or completely different from the real world). Users wear VR headsets and, sometimes, additional devices that permit a deeper interaction with the virtual worlds they enter.

» Augmented Reality (an enhanced version of the real, physical world).

» Immersive Activities (those that ‘pull’ a person into a new reality, enhancing life and learning by making them more engaging and satisfying). Once again, a tech device is required to add virtual information to the real world.

When it comes to the metaverse, the motto is, ‘Adapt or Die’. The age of data is advancing at breakneck speed, and new technologies and telecommunications structures are also in constant evolution. Within this context, the new wave of content creation, technology, and innovation are centred around the metaverse, Web 3, and virtual and augmented reality. Both private companies and public institutions will need to adapt to the new zeitgeist and make the necessary changes, so they can harness the benefits of the metaverse. ›

The Aim Of The Meta World Congress

The event has three main objectives:

» Innovation and development: Its approach will be practical, didactic, and immersive. A lineup of exhibitors, speakers, and activities will cover areas like the blockchain, NFTs, crypto, video games, DeFi (decentralised finance), augmented reality, virtual worlds, and new possibilities for immersive experiences.

» Visibility and reputation: To be a meeting point for tech companies and investors and enable new technologies to be displayed.

» Networking and business: To connect providers, companies, and investors wishing to develop and promote future initiatives.

365 Congress And Activities

Exhibitors and attendees who visit the metaverse can continue to enjoy the special ecosystem created by the event after it is over. There will be a dedicated programme of speakers and activities, so that those who are interested in doing so can stay connected throughout the year.
