Try something new! Active Aging Adults (AAA) TRX is for adults 50+ who are staying active as they age. This class isn’t easy! AAA TRX will focus on strength by using versatile TRX straps to build strength, mobility, and muscular endurance. Each class will provide a full body workout!

This April don’t miss the annual Esquimalt 5K and Kids Fun Run—a true showcase of community spirit and family-friendly fitness! If you haven’t joined in yet, make this the year to experience this fantastic local event! They are always looking for volunteers for this event as well!

From outdoor adventures to indoor programs, our Winter/ Spring lineup has plenty for everyone. For cozy indoor fun, check out our Social Saturday Series held once a month throughout the season. One highlight is a “Date Night – Wine & Paint Night”, where you’ll be guided through a creative painting session while enjoying a refreshing glass of wine.

Esquimalt Recreation takes a holistic approach to health and wellness, offering diverse programs for all interests. Whether it’s special events, exciting activities, or fitness programs, you’ll find something that’s perfect for you at our Recreation Centre, Sports Centre, and the Gorge Park Pavilion. Social Saturdays-Murder Mystery Night

Bagman (n) - an agent who collects or distributes the proceeds of illicit activities.

Return to the speakeasy for an evening of intrigue! We’re back in the 1920s, and tonight is the annual underworld shindig. The Cusacks and the JohnsonMoy Gang have an uneasy truce, but both operations have caught the eye of Frank Colacurcio, the Mob Boss of Seattle. He’s come to Victoria to “check on” alcohol deliveries from the Cusacks, but everyone suspects he wants to expand his empire. There is no better night for Frank to meet the Island crime families. But early into the evening, when a valet goes to find out why ‘Big Tony’ Elkins hasn’t joined the party, they find his dead body! ‘Big Tony’ was a Boss in Frank’s organization and would have been the Bagman for any future Canadian operation. Frank is not going to be happy to find a colleague dead... can the guests smooth things over so the police don’t get involved?

• Please note that there are 10 suspect spots that will be randomly assigned from the list of interested participants.

• Only suspects will be assigned a specific character. Witnesses are encouraged to develop their own character.

• Suspect characters will be assigned 1 week in advance of the event. (email required)

• Costumes encouraged!

Aging Backwards

Discover the key to slowing down the aging process by enhancing body awareness and mechanics in this transformative class. Our approach focuses on balancing musculature and soothing the body, helping release tension in areas such as the hips, lower back, calves, and chest. Enhance the efficiency of posture and movement with Postural Pilates, a comprehensive approach that integrates Pilates principles with neuromuscular programming.
