If you like apple pie, you'll go crazy for this delicious caramel apple pie bread pudding...
Ingredients: - 8 cups bread, cubed - 3 medium apples, peeled, cored and chopped - 4 eggs - 1 cup vanilla yogurt - 1 cup milk - 2 tsp cinnamon, divided
- ½ tsp nutmeg - ½ c sugar + 2 Tbsp - ½ cup raisins
Serves 16 Prep time: 20 mins Cook time: 40 mins Total time: 1 hour By: CakesCottage
Sauce:
- 1 cup Unsalted Butter - 1 cup Heavy Cream - 1 cup Brown Sugar
Instructions: 1. Preheat oven to 350°. 2. Spray a 9×13 baking dish with cooking spray. 3. In a large bowl, whisk together the yogurt, milk, eggs, 1 tsp cinnamon, nutmeg, and ½ cup sugar. 4. Stir in the apples, raisins, then gently fold in the bread cubes. Pour into the prepared pan. 5. In a small bowl, stir together 2 Tbsp sugar and 1 tsp cinnamon. 6. Sprinkle on top the bread pudding. Bake 30-40 minutes until puffed and golden brown. 7. While the bread pudding is baking, make the caramel sauce. 8. In a heavy saucepan over medium-low heat, stir together the butter, heavy cream, and brown sugar; bring to a boil. 9. Reduce heat to low, simmer until the sauce thickens, for about 5 minutes. Pour over bread pudding to serve. Top with vanilla ice cream. 10. * If you can leave bread cubes out for a few hours so they get nice and dry. If not, just place them on a baking sheet and bake them at 350 for 10-15 minutes or until they’re dry but not toasted. 11. * You can make this the night before and pop it in the oven for breakfast – it actually gets better if it sits overnight!

THIS & THAT Talking Dirty: Surprisingly Germy Places!
it everywhere, even to the bathroom, and that's probably why it has so many germs. Handbags carry so many germs because we touch them all the time and put them on the floor, and they're also packed with other germ-infested items such as hand creams and cosmetics. Tip: Avoid placing your purse on the floor. Non-leather bags can be wiped down with an antibacterial wipe. For leather bags, wipe with a soft cloth and warm soapy water.
How well you take care of your toothbrush could help you manage the germs around you.
While most germs are nothing to worry about for the average healthy person, people older than fifty need to be a little more germ wary, Here are everyday germ offenders you may not have thought about: Your toothbrush holder is the third most germ-infested household item.
Gas pump handles carry potentially illness-causing bacteria.

Put the toilet seat down? Check. Wipe the toothpaste off the sink? Check. Clean the toothbrush holder? Probably not. It's time to add this to your morning routine, because your toothbrush holder is the third most germ-infested household item, Want to keep it clean? First, close the lid on the toilet when you flush. That's because germs that rise in the air when you flush can land on your toothbrush holder, not to mention the many germs that are already on your toothbrush — 10 million, to be exact. Second, throw iit in a dishwasher on the sanitizing cycle once or twice a week (if it's dishwasher safe) to kill any germs.
While you're filling up your car with gas, you're also filling up your hands with germs from the gas pump handle. Tip: Keep disposable vinyl gloves in your car and use them for pumping gas. It may look silly, but wearing them can cut your risk of colds and flu.
Use an antibacterial wipe on your office equipment daily to avoid spreading germs.
The average purse is three times dirtier than an office toilet seat.
Handbag Ladies, you and your handbag are just about joined at the hip — and that's the problem. You take
Your office desk Your office space is a prime breeding ground for germs, and we're not talking about computer viruses. Tip: Use an antibacterial wipe on your office equipment daily, and regularly wash or sanitize your hands throughout the day.
