A dual-action flame detector called IPES-IR/UV detects electromagnetic radiation from a flame in the infrared (IR) and ultraviolet (UV) spectral regions (UV). The IR range (4.2–4.6 m) and UV range (150–300 nm) maximum spectral sensitivity regions are determined by optical filters and receiver design. A flame detector is a great option for removing false-positive signs brought on by non-flame sources of radiation such as artificial lighting, direct and indirect sunlight, lightning, arc welding, and metal grinding due to its combination of numerous sensors and wavelength range settings.
