HEAD OF SCHOOL Dear Episcopal Community, As we reflect on the 2025–2026 school year, I am filled with immense gratitude for the generations of families, alumni, and friends who have built and sustained this extraordinary school, and for all of you whose generosity carried us through our milestone 60th anniversary year. Since our founding in 1966, Episcopal has remained steadfast in its mission to provide a superior collegepreparatory education within a nurturing Christian environment, balanced across our Four Pillars of Academics, Arts, Athletics, and Spiritual Life. For six decades, this mission has shaped the lives of thousands of students who have gone on to lead with purpose, compassion, and integrity. Today, we stand on the shoulders of the giants who believed deeply in what Episcopal could be and gave generously to ensure its growth and longevity. This 2025–2026 Report of Philanthropy is more than a record of support - it is a testament to the enduring commitment of our community. Your gifts made transformative educational experiences possible, supported our outstanding faculty, enhanced our beautiful campuses, and strengthened programs that shape both intellect and character. Every contribution played a vital role in upholding Episcopal’s tradition of excellence, and we felt that generosity in every corner of our campuses this year. Your gifts supported many highly visible improvements to our campuses, including renovated facilities and enhanced security features at the Beaches Campus and an upgraded Art room and Quad at the St. Mark’s Campus. The Munnerlyn Campus welcomed additional spaces for art, science, and math, as well as new turf on Pajcic-Hunt Field, a resurfaced Langford Track, and the beautifully reimagined Regan Plaza. Equally as valuable are the ways your generosity has bolstered our Beaches, St. Mark’s and Munnerlyn faculty and programs through professional development, workshops, and the establishment of ESJ’s AI Lab. I am especially mindful of how our progress is made possible not just by those here today, but by those who came before us—visionary donors whose faith in Episcopal laid the foundation we continue to build upon. Their legacy is evident in every classroom, on every playing field, in every Chapel service, and in every student who walks our halls. Because of them and because of you, we are not only celebrating six decades of success, but also looking forward with confidence to the decades ahead. Thank you for believing in Episcopal’s mission, for supporting our students, and for ensuring that this community remains strong and vibrant for generations to come. With deepest gratitude,

The Rev. Adam Greene Head of School

EPISCOPAL REDEDICATES PAJCIC-HUNT FIELD CAMPAIGNS

Episcopal held a special ceremony on September 11, 2026 to rededicate Pajcic-Hunt Field. The

original turf field was installed and dedicated in 2015, and named for two great friends, teammates, and coaches: Gary Pajcic and Charlie Hunt. Gary and Charlie were football teammates at Florida State University and coached football together for many seasons at Episcopal. Gary was a father to five Episcopal studentathletes and he coached them both in sports and in life. Gary brought Charlie Hunt to Episcopal in 1982, and hundreds of football and track athletes trace important lessons in teamwork, integrity, and perseverance to Coach Hunt. Gary and Charlie were like brothers, and Episcopal is one of many places where they shared the blessing of their friendship.

Episcopal is grateful for the Pajcic Family giving generously again to fund the replacement of the original turf. Thank you to Sallyn Pajcic, and especially to Gary’s children and spouses, for helping to make this happen: Curt Pajcic ‘86 and Joanna, Curry Pajcic ‘87 and Annie, Ian Pajcic ‘90 and Monica, Seth Pajcic ‘95 and Kathleen, and Shaara Pajcic Swallow ‘99 and Brian.

50TH REUNION SCHOLARSHIP FUND: A LEGACY THAT LIVES ON CAMPAIGNS In 2020, as the Class of 1970 prepared to celebrate their 50th Reunion, classmates created a meaningful way to mark the occasion and give back to the school that had been such an important part of their lives. They established the 50th Reunion Scholarship Fund with an initial goal of $50,000, establishing a tradition that would invite each 50th reunion class to contribute something meaningful for Episcopal.

As Episcopal’s first graduating class, the Class of 1970 understood the significance of reaching this milestone. Their reunion was a time to remember the teachers, friendships, traditions, and experiences that shaped their years at Episcopal, and it was also an opportunity to look ahead. By creating an endowed fund, they gave future classes a way to carry that same spirit forward.

Since then, each class celebrating a 50th Reunion has added to the fund, building on the legacy begun by Episcopal’s first graduates. What started as a $50,000 goal has grown into a lasting source of support for Episcopal students, made possible by the generosity of each class celebrating its 50th reunion. The 50th Reunion Scholarship Fund is more than a collection of gifts. It is a reflection of the enduring bond alumni share with Episcopal and a way for each class to celebrate its place in the school’s history while helping shape its future. Every gift helps make an Episcopal education possible for deserving students, regardless of their financial circumstances. With each 50th Reunion, another class has the opportunity to celebrate where they began, give thanks for the many ways Episcopal shaped their lives, and help open the door for the next generation of Eagles. Episcopal is grateful to the alumni who established this tradition and to each class that continues to carry it forward.

REGAN PLAZA REIMAGINED CAMPAIGNS The Dale D. Regan Plaza on the Munnerlyn Campus was reimagined over the summer of 2026. Thanks to the generosity of Dale’s family and many donors, the space transformed into a warm, nature-inspired gathering space that will welcome our students, faculty, families, and alumni for decades to come.

The plaza was built in 2013 to honor Dale, who served Episcopal for 34 years as a teacher, administrator, and Head of School. After Dale’s death in 2012, gifts to the school in her memory were used to build a plaza surrounding the school’s beloved Great Oak. When the tree had to be removed for safety reasons in 2015, Dale’s sister, Denise Hunt, established the Dale D. Regan Plaza Replacement Endowment in 2016 to make sure the space could one day be rebuilt to match Dale’s original vision. That vision became reality this summer. Working with a landscape design team from the Haskell Company led by Chris Flagg, the designer of the original plaza, Episcopal reimagined the space with a Legacy Oak and a memorial plaque at its center, river rocks reflecting a natural element Dale cherished, expanded plantings, durable brick paver and concrete hardscape, and improved drainage and access points designed around how students and faculty actually move through the space.

Faculty and staff gathered on the Munnerlyn Campus during pre-planning week in August to bless the newly reimagined plaza ahead of the new school year. Katie Black-Bowling ‘95, Director of Fine Arts, offered remarks reflecting on Dale’s legacy and what the rebuilt space means for the community she shaped. “Dale’s impact on this campus cannot be contained in one plaza, whether the original wooden space or this beautifully reimagined one,” Black-Bowling said. “Her influence is everywhere. We remember her especially in this space, a space created for connecting, conversing, and creating. She would be proud that this campus is still full of relational moments that matter.” Episcopal is grateful to Denise Hunt for establishing the endowment that made this rebuild possible from the start, and to every donor who gave to complete the Regan Plaza Reimagined project. Your gifts turned a tribute into a space students and faculty will gather in, study in, and remember Dale Regan in for years to come. ESJ

PARENTS OF ALUMNI SPOTLIGHT: SUE AND PETER SABO DONOR PROFILES ESJ: What has inspired you and your family to support Episcopal for 21 consecutive years? We didn’t know anything about Episcopal School of Jacksonville, but when confronted with the overcrowding of the public schools in our area, Peter and I began talking about our options moving forward. We toured several schools, and although each would mean about an hour’s drive each way, every day, we weighed the sacrifices against the benefits. We felt an immediate connection to the broader Episcopal family as we met with students and parents alike. Each echoed the others with comments about “like-minded parents,” a “genuine sense of community,” and “students establishing friendships for life.” This was exactly what we envisioned for our children. Fast-forward 20 years. Today, our children have returned to St. Augustine as college graduates and are all successful, contributing members of our community. We are grateful to Episcopal for instilling the foundation and values that helped prepare them for their journeys. ESJ: With all three of your children having attended Episcopal, what are some of the experiences, relationships, or opportunities that have made the school especially meaningful to your family? March 6, 2012, is an important date in our family. Personally experiencing the loss of Dale Regan impacted our family profoundly. Mason ’09 had been in her last homeroom class a few years prior, Caroline ’10 was a freshman away at college, and Libbie ’13 was in a class on campus that day. Unhesitatingly, they all came home the next day. We took the news, went out of town as a family, and reflected. Mrs. Regan was a powerful influence at Episcopal. She was larger than life, but also friendly, embracing, and approachable. Her “river rocks” story continues to hold a special place in our hearts. For nearly 15 years, there has been a bowl on an end table in our family room containing a handful of these stones, some painted with words of inspiration. Our grandchildren now play with them every weekend when they come over for Sunday suppers. By continuing to give, we honor Dale’s memory, her legacy, and the lasting impact she had on our family and so many others. ESJ: Why do you believe giving back to Episcopal is important, and what do you hope your continued support makes possible for future generations of students? We feel Episcopal has given us so much over the years. We were family. When our children went away to college, Episcopal’s job was complete. Peter and I want that same experience for others. Although our gifts may not be significant, by continuing to support Episcopal, we are “thanking them for a job well done” while helping to secure the same exceptional opportunities for generations of students to come. MARY PACKER CUMMINGS SOCIETY

Franklin Beard ’70 is certainly no stranger to Episcopal. He is the first of three generations of Episcopal students - the first family with that honor. Franklin is a member of the Class of 1970 - the first graduating class. His son, Russell, is a member of the Class of 1996, and his grandson, Russell, graduated in 2024 as Episcopal’s first third generation graduate. Franklin’s son, Cameron, Class of 2000, is also an alum. Franklin’s second grandson, William, is a member of the Class of 2026, and his granddaughter, Virginia, is a current ninth grade student.

FRANKLIN BEARD ’70

Franklin is a former Episcopal Trustee - the youngest Trustee in school’s history at age 29. He was named an Honorary Trustee in 2024 in recognition of his past contributions on the Board and longtime service to Episcopal. Currently, he manages the Episcopal Foundation with his UBS team. Franklin is a member of the Reunion Band, which has played for alumni for years at Reunion Weekend on the Acosta-Schmidt House porch. Along with Brad Berg and Jack Schmidt, he organized the school’s Alumni Board, and has served as its President. ESJ: What was your first involvement with Episcopal? FB: I transferred to Episcopal for my Junior year, and that remains a turning point in my life. I was going through some rough family times, and even though Episcopal was much more academically challenging than my prior school, I felt a real sense of belonging. The teachers were old-school and tough, but cared about seeing their students succeed. Latin 3 was especially difficult for me, but my teacher helped me each week. I leaned more towards math and science; Mel Hazen was my Algebra 2 teacher. Because the school was so small then, we had to stick together - I don’t recall many cliques. We also all had to get involved: I played Varsity soccer and tennis, and ran track while also serving as the drummer in the Chapel band. Looking back at that, Episcopal was emphasizing the Four Pillars (Academics, Athletics, Fine Arts, and Spiritual Life) from the beginning. ESJ: Do you have any specific memories or proud moments as a student or parent? FB: Of course - almost too many to narrow down! A lifetime takeaway is that Episcopal gave me true self-worth and self-esteem. That carried over into college and then to my fifty-year career as an investment advisor and financial planner. More specifically, seeing my two sons choose Episcopal and then my three grandchildren choose Episcopal makes me so happy and proud. ESJ: What changes have you seen with the school? What has stayed the same? FB: The school has taken years to become what it is today. I remember when the administration and the Board did not support students who wanted to dive deep into fine arts or athletics. Those extra-curricular activities were totally secondary. Now, the school does a great job with the balance for so many students. Personally, I have served as an investment advisor to the Episcopal Foundation for over 20 years, and have seen the school’s endowment grow from $2,700,000 in 2002 to roughly $18,000,000 today. During that time the endowment has spun off thousands of dollars for student financial aid. I take great pride in helping to make that happen. Even though the school has grown physically, the spirit has remained the same. DONOR PROFILES

The Mary Packer Cummings Society honors individuals who have provided for the school through deferred gifts such as bequests, life insurance, annuities, and trust agreements. The society is named in honor of Mrs. Mary Packer Cummings, who left the property where Episcopal now stands to St. John’s Cathedral upon her death in 1912. Planned gifts may be directed by the donor to provide unrestricted income or to be used for designated purposes such as endowment, capital improvements, or program areas.

FIRST TIME DONOR SPOTLIGHT: THE WESTERMAN FAMILY DONOR PROFILES

For Markie and Jamie Westerman, Episcopal felt like home fast. The Westermans moved to Jacksonville from Colorado in the Summer of 2025, and when Willa (third grade) and Woodson (kindergarten) began their Episcopal journey at the St. Mark’s Campus, the Westermans found a community that welcomed them right away. “The best part of the ESJ community has been how truly warm and welcoming everyone has been,” said the Westermans. “We tell people that being at this school and being a part of its community has felt like a big warm hug. ESJ fosters a culture that really invites parents inside, to witness the goodness being nurtured in our children. From the start, we were able to attend Chapel with both of our children which gave us such a comforted feeling. We could see our kids were in the best hands and would be taught through a lens of kindness, love and virtue.” The Westermans’ philanthropy reflects how quickly they’ve invested in Episcopal’s mission and mirrors their greater involvement in the ESJ parent community. “ESJ is helping to form our children in a very positive and meaningful way,” said the Westermans. “Willa and Woodson can’t wait to go to school every day. We feel extraordinarily grateful they not only get to be a part of this community, but also actively contribute to it as well.” Markie and Jamie helped the St. Mark’s Campus reach 100% parent participation in The Episcopal Fund this year, joined in on major community fundraising events, and participated in the parent Book Club and various other PA events. Markie and Jamie attended the W.W. Gay Ortega River Run, and Jamie’s firm, CREO Capital Partners, stepped up as a sponsor of A Vision for Art in the spring. “A Vision for Art feels like such a great representation of this community,” said the Westermans. “It was our first year attending and it certainly exceeded our expectations. The way it so artfully combines community, culture, and philanthropy was stunning to witness. CREO was honored to be a sponsor.” We are so grateful to the Westerman family for their generosity and commitment to Episcopal. Their support truly exemplifies how new families can quickly become woven into Episcopal’s community and help make Episcopal their own.

LEADERSHIP DONORS DONOR PROFILES

Leadership Donors Gather to Celebrate Their Impact on Episcopal’s Future More than 100 members of the Episcopal School of Jacksonville community came together on Sunday, August 23, for the Leadership Donor Reception, held at the Buck Student Center on the Munnerlyn Campus. The evening brought together multiple generations of parents, alumni, and other dedicated donors from all three of Episcopal’s campuses to celebrate their shared commitment to the school’s mission. Each guest holds membership in Episcopal’s Great Oak Level of giving, reserved for donors who contribute $2,500 or more per academic year to any area of the school. These gifts provide vital support that reaches across all Four Pillars of an Episcopal education. Leadership donors like those gathered on August 23 are the cornerstone of Episcopal’s philanthropic community. This investment makes possible so much of what families come to expect from an Episcopal education and what our alumni experienced as students. As Episcopal continues to thrive across all three campuses, the continued investment of Great Oak Level donors matters more than ever. To learn more about membership in the Great Oak Society, visit esj.org/ support/the-episcopal-fund/.

BASH 2026 EVENTS

Bash Celebrates 60 Years with Nod to Founding Era Bash 2026 – Celebrating 60 Years of Episcopal was held January 31 in Harden Hall with a retro theme paying homage to the era when Episcopal was founded. Current and former parents, alumni, parents of alumni, and friends of ESJ embraced the throwback dress code, showing up in style with vintage florals, jumpsuits, and disco-inspired sparkles. Jennifer Earnest ’00 of Chef’s Garden curated a menu that fully leaned into the era with crowd pleasing favorites keeping guests fueled for the night. Classic hits performed by The Boogie Freaks, a 360 photo booth, balloon drop on the dance floor, and a wine pull tucked behind a “Laugh-In” inspired wall offered interactive guest experiences. The online auction raised funds for ESJ through bids on sought-after experiences, trips, and “All Things Episcopal” favorites. This milestone evening celebrated the school’s history while raising funds in support of Episcopal’s mission, underscoring the lasting impact of the school’s community and commitment to the future.

BEACH BASH 2026 EVENTS Greek-Inspired Beach Bash: Celebrating Generosity, Community, and Student Opportunity Generosity took center stage at the Beaches Campus’ annual Beach Bash, where parents, faculty, and

friends of Episcopal School of Jacksonville came together on February 27 for an unforgettable Greek-inspired evening at the Natural Life Corporate Office in Jacksonville Beach. More than a celebration, Beach Bash was an opportunity for our community to invest in the experiences that make an Episcopal education distinctive. Through event proceeds, auction participation, and generous contributions of goods and services, donors provided meaningful support for the school’s Four Pillars: Academics, Athletics, Fine Arts, and Spiritual Life. Every gift made a difference. Donor support helps ensure that students have access to enriching academic experiences, opportunities to discover their talents through athletics and the fine arts, and programs that nurture character, faith, and spiritual growth. These are the experiences that extend learning beyond the classroom and help students grow into confident, compassionate, and well-rounded young people. The success of Beach Bash reflects the remarkable generosity of the Beaches Campus community. Faculty, families, and businesses came together not simply to attend an event, but to make an investment in our students and the programs that shape their school experience. The community also generously covered the cost of faculty tickets, allowing teachers to join in the celebration and be recognized for the important role they play in the lives of our students each day. We are especially grateful to Beach Bash Chair, Samantha Grinney, and the dedicated Beach Bash Committee for their leadership, creativity, and countless hours of service. Their efforts created an evening that celebrated both fellowship and philanthropy while bringing the community together around a shared commitment to Episcopal School of Jacksonville. We extend our heartfelt appreciation to every donor, sponsor, auction contributor, volunteer, and family who helped make Beach Bash possible. Your generosity is an investment in the Four Pillars and, most importantly, in the students whose lives are enriched by them. Thank you for believing in our students and for helping make extraordinary opportunities possible. ESJ

The Episcopal community came together in extraordinary fashion for this year’s A Vision for Art, presented by Northern Trust. The Lori Schiavone Commons was transformed into an art gallery showcasing more than 40 professional artists from across the Southeast April 17-20. The exhibition was a true celebration of creativity, community, and philanthropy, and the most successful fundraising event in the show’s history. More than 300 guests attended the Opening Night Celebration, where they enjoyed live music, beautifully crafted florals by Episcopal parent Bonnie Melin of Ruby Reds Floral, espresso martinis from Episcopal parents Donnie and Kerri Webb of Flamingo Coffee, and an elegant selection of bites from Chef’s Garden, owned by Jennifer Earnest ’00. Episcopal senior and participating artist Madi McClure ‘26 was on hand to sketch portraits for guests throughout the event as a keepsake, and Stellers Framing, owned by Graham Riley ‘00 announced a discount on framing services to members of the Episcopal community. EVENTS Throughout the event, 292 pieces of art were sold, totaling more than $170,000 in support of the St. Mark’s Campus and the community of participating artists. The show was curated by Bebe Alexander, Fine Arts Department faculty on the St. Mark’s Campus.

A hallmark of A Vision for Art is the meaningful involvement of students. While a dedicated group of parent volunteers and neighbors were hard at work hanging art, students in each grade level toured the gallery critiquing pieces with their class. Students in each grade level also collaborated with a professional artist to create original works for the Future for Art auction, exposing students to a variety of artistic processes while contributing to the event’s philanthropic impact. More than $11,000 was raised through the grade-level auction. This year’s success was made possible through the generosity of sponsors, including Northern Trust, as well as the dedication of the A Vision for Art committee and volunteers. As A Vision for Art continues to grow, it remains a signature event that elevates the arts in Jacksonville while directly supporting Episcopal’s mission. Episcopal is deeply grateful to everyone who attended, volunteered, sponsored, or purchased artwork.

Mary Packer Cummings Society The Mary Packer Cummings Society honors individuals who have provided for the school through deferred gifts such as bequests, life insurance, annuities, and trust agreements. The society is named in honor of Mrs. Cummings, who left the property where Episcopal now stands to St. John’s Cathedral upon her death in 1912. Planned gifts may be directed by the donor to provide unrestricted income or to be used for designated purposes such as endowment, capital improvements or program areas.
