Want to get a head start on your studies and life as a student at GW? Need to strengthen your academic writing, research and communication skills? Undergraduate and graduate international students applying to degree programs at GW who are non-native speakers of English are invited to enroll in summer English for Academic Purposes (EAP) courses.

Students have the option of residing in an international student community at our Foggy Bottom Campus in the heart of Washington, DC. Our campus is accessible by public transit and within walking distance of the White House, Smithsonian Institution and the World Bank. Residence halls are staffed by full-time program assistants who help students integrate into GW by providing social and cultural programs. These include sessions with admissions and career representatives, site visits to cultural institutions and day trips to nearby sites. Students have full access to university facilities, libraries, fitness centers, computer labs and student health services.
