What We Look For

We conduct a holistic review of your application that considers your academic and personal characteristics.

We will review your academic performance and the rigor of your program within the context of your school. Most of our first-year students come from the top 10 percent of their high school classes.

We also consider your writing skills and personal qualities, as revealed through your involvement, essays and letter of recommendation.

Financial Aid & Scholarships

A USC education may be more affordable than you think.

• The Financial Aid Office works with eligible families to meet their full USCdemonstrated financial need.

• First-year students from families earning less than $80,000 a year, with typical assets, are eligible to attend USC tuition-free through our Affordability Initiative. affordability.usc.edu

• Students who apply by the scholarship deadlines are considered for USC Merit Scholarships.

• Admission to USC is need-blind for domestic students. Ability to pay does not affect admission decisions.

• Early Action deadline.

• Early Decision deadline (Marshall School of Business programs, excluding the World Bachelor in Business).

• Merit-based scholarship deadline.

December 1

• Regular Decision for majors requiring a portfolio or audition, and the World Bachelor in Business.

• Merit-based scholarship deadline for these programs.

January 10

Regular Decision.

Transfer Applicants

December 1

Select portfolio-based programs.

February 15

Regular Decision.

All transfer candidates meeting these deadlines are considered for merit scholarships.
