We are proud to partner with world-famous traditional bowhunter, Fred Eichler, on a first of its kind aluminum Take Down riser. The Fred Eichler Signature Take Down features a 17” machined riser with Bear’s patented Fred Bear latch system.

The Eichler Signature riser can be paired with Bear’s 1, 2, 3 and Longbow limbs to create a Take Down with a 58”, 60”, or 62” AMO. The durable and ergonomic design of the bow is the result of immense testing and input from Fred Eichler himself. Take Down Limbs

Years ahead of their time, Fred Bear's Take Down Limbs brought the industry a new technology and superior performance. Today, these Take Down Limbs are constructed of layered hard rock maple and black fiberglass, and handcrafted tips that are reinforced with black and white fiberglass to accommodate modern strings. Take Down Limbs are available in three lengths: #1, #2, and #3 limbs. The #1 limbs will make a 56” bow on an A-Riser and a 60” bow with a B-Riser. Cheyenne The Cheyenne was a collaboration between father and son – Grant Neil Byce II, Mr. Bear’s retired master bowyer, and Grant Neil Byce III, Bear Archery’s Director of Operations. The bow’s length handles the swept-back style limbs of the Take-Down, while the grip is designed to feel full in hand while incorporating the half-moon styling reminiscent of Fred’s favorite bows of the early 60s.
