jornada literária “Como podemos impactar nossa sociedade por meio de nossas relações com o meio ambiente e uns com os outros?”

In this project, our learners are being challenged to research about the sustainable use of water in Space Stations, in order to understand that there are many ways to avoid the waste of water. They will also learn about the importance of the water cycle, and be invited to think about in what ways human interference impacts on that cycle In this project we are going to study the environmental situation of our planet (climate changes related to human actions, pollution, reduction of natural resources, animal extinction and other problems). Besides learning those problems, we expect our learners to think of some possible solutions to reduce the waste of water in our planet In order to deepen our researches, we are going to interpret data and also create graphics to communicate our learnings. We expect that as we bring awareness about this topic, our learners and their families are going to impact not only their private environment, but also the world, with attitudes to save water, this so very precious and important resource

Sobre a jornada de aprendizagem:

Neste projeto, nossos estudantes estão sendo desafiados a pesquisar sobre o uso sustentável da água nas estações espaciais, a fim de entender que existem muitas maneiras de evitar o desperdício de água Eles também aprenderão sobre a importância do ciclo da água e serão convidados a pensar sobre como a interferência humana impacta esse ciclo Neste projeto vamos estudar a situação ambiental do nosso planeta (mudanças climáticas relacionadas a ações humanas, poluição, redução de recursos naturais, extinção de animais e outros problemas)

Além de aprender esses problemas, esperamos que nossos estudantes pensem em algumas soluções possíveis para reduzir o desperdício de água em nosso planeta Para aprofundar nossas pesquisas, vamos interpretar dados e também criar gráficos para comunicar nossos aprendizados. Esperamos que, ao conscientizarmos sobre esse tema, nossos alunos e suas famílias impactem não apenas seu ambiente privado, mas também o mundo, com atitudes para economizar água, esse recurso tão precioso e importante

About the learning journey:

We began the year discussing the meaning of belonging related to our experience at school.

Learners gave their personal touch to our learning space to work on our own sense of belonging, and thinking about themselves and their identity, they worked on a series of Visual Thinking Routines to organize their thinking and knowledge. Such as: "KWL", "I used to think and now I know", "Connect, Exchange, Challenge",and "Chalk Talk".

Still connecting to belonging, we learned about nomadic and sedentary people and made connections with the book: “The boy, the mole, the fox and the horse”

Learning about the first civilizations incited learners' curiosity about how the first communities emerged in various parts of the world and how did they get there?

Sobre a jornada de aprendizagem: Iniciamos o ano discutindo o significado de pertencimento relacionado à nossa experiência na escola.

Os estudantes deram seu toque pessoal ao nosso espaço de aprendizagem para trabalhar o seu próprio sentimento de pertencimento Pensando em si mesmos e em sua identidade, eles trabalharam com uma série de Rotinas do Pensamento para organizar ideias e tornar o pensamento visivel Como: "KWL", "I used to think and now I know", "Connect, Exchange, Challenge", e "Chalk Talk"

Ainda se conectando ao pertencimento, nossos estudantes aprenderam sobre povos nômades e sedentários e fizeram conexões com o livro: “O menino, a toupeira, a raposa e o cavalo”

Conhecer as primeiras civilizações despertou a curiosidade deles sobre como surgiram as primeiras comunidades em várias partes do mundo e como elas chegaram lá
