OUR We believe that creativity is an important part of the innovation and success journey. To foster creativity, academic mindsets, and innovation within our school, we encourage a culture of feedback/feedforward, collaboration, open-mindedness, risk-taking, and continuous learning.

With this being shared, it’s important to note that when we launch ideas and projects we embrace the mindset of, “let’s try this and see if and how it works for our community.”

Our projects are dynamic and we are aware that there is no single right path or answer to how we can approach solutions. We choose to look at every problem with curiosity and awe and see these as ideas because we understand that every solution also starts as an idea.

Our framework outlines the principles and approaches that we use to foster creativity, academic mindsets, innovation, and design-led projects.

Habits of Mind At Escola Concept we strive to develop mindful, caring, and joyful citizens who are committed to their personal growth, the growth of others, and the growth of their community. When we commit to growing the habits both individually and as a community, we become more thoughtful, responsive, and innovative.

This framework for thinking, which includes 16 dispositions called the "Habits of Mind" are used as a foundation to support this positive mindset that permeates our community of learners.

Thinking Culture At Escola Concept, the slogan, "learning the meaning of learning" comes to life through the Cultures of Thinking.

Learners are continuously encouraged to think about their thinking, pose questions, make relevant connections, identify how their thinking has evolved/changed over time, and identify possible challenges a specific idea poses, while exploring questions they may have about a specific concept.

There are 8 cultural forces that shape the culture of our learning spaces, which include: routines (visible thinking routines), opportunities, time, modeling, language, environment, interactions, and expectations . These forces provide students with an environment that enables critical thinking and builds the capacity for positive social learning and a deeper understanding of knowledge co-created in the classroom.

Design Thinking Problem-solving approach that involves empathy, prototyping, and iteration. It is often used in the development of new products or services and is applied to educational contexts in tandem with the project based learning approach.

Futures Thinking Involves considering potential future scenarios, trend analysis, and strategic foresight to make decisions based on informed predictions. Futures thinking supports individuals and organizations to make data rich decisions and prepare for the future by considering a range of possible outcomes and the factors that may influence them.

Academic Mindsets Beliefs and attitudes that students have about their own learning and academic abilities. Belonging, resilience, purpose, perseverance and growth mindset are major competencies for a deeper learning experience.

Deeper Learning Involves learning that goes beyond the basics of knowledge acquisition and evolves into a focus on developing skills such as critical thinking, problem-solving, and collaboration.

This approach emphasizes the importance of student ownership and agency in the learning process and encourages the use of authentic, project-based learning experiences.

Science of reading Grows confident and capable readers based on the science of how proficient reading and writing develops. Reading outcomes are improved, while empowering educators to elevate the reading and writing profiles of learners.

Learning Architecture Refers to the design and structure of a learning environment, including the physical space, the use of technology, and the roles and responsibilities of the learners and educators.

Learning Analytics Use of data and technology to track, analyze, and impact growth on learning and performance with the goal of personalizing the learning journey, while continuing to enhance the teaching and learning capacity.

Agency Striking the balance between scaffolding and achieving autonomy. It refers to identifying valued goals and desired outcomes and learning how to pursue the goals and outcomes purposefully, effectively, and proactively, while taking ownership of the intentions that will lead to actions and behaviors.

Mathematical Mindsets Refers to the active approach to growing maths knowledge, competencies, and the deep understanding of number sense and quantities to develop mathematical fluency and the application of maths thinking and sequencing to all areas of learning.

São Paulo Campus was accredited by AMISA, the American International Schools in the Americas (AMISA). AMISA aims to discover and develop ways and means for improving understanding through international education; to improve upon the quality of teaching and learning in Association schools; to facilitate communication and cooperative action between and among all Association schools; and to facilitate cooperative action with national, state, local or non-governmental agencies in the field of international education.

Started by IVY League Universities and pioneered by Harvard, the Mastery Transcript Consortium is a prestigious award-winning high school transcript which gives students the opportunity to showcase who they are for colleges and universities through a portfolio of accomplishments versus a simple document which only shows their grades. Only 3 schools in Brazil offer this exclusive path for learners to get to their college of choice.

A diploma program from the College Board based on two yearlong AP courses: AP Seminar and AP Research. Rather than teaching subject-specific content, these courses develop students’ skills in research, analysis, evidence-based arguments, collaboration, writing, and presenting. Students who complete the two-year program can earn one of two different AP Capstone awards, which are valued by colleges across the United States and around the world.

Escola Concept is the only exclusive partner for d.tech high, the most innovative high school in the world located on the Oracle campus in the Silicon Valley. Learners can graduate high school with the Innovation Diploma offered by d.tech to Escola Concept. The Diploma is a 4 year commitment of developing a real project of impact that will positively affect the life of the population outside the school.

TED-Ed is TED’s youth and education initiative. TED-Ed’s mission is to spark and celebrate the ideas of teachers and learners around the world. Through the use of the TED curriculum, the goal at Escola Concept is for learners to gain presentation literacy skills while celebrating innovative leadership within TED-Ed’s global network.

Offers Escola Concept an internationally recognized curriculum for Early Years to Middle School. Fieldwork Education works with more than 1,000 schools worldwide, but in Brazil, only 30 schools offer it.

Facilitated by a consortium of 8 like-minded international schools, the Global Citizen Diploma (GCD) provides a framework for students to actively take small steps leading to a better future. Through intentional reflection, students develop a deeper understanding of who they are and what they value by capturing their individual stories and celebrating their growth. By identifying their passions, each student who earns the GCD becomes more inclined to act in an ethical and responsible way as a global citizen.

Providence Country Day (PCD) is one of the most prestigious prep schools in the east coast of the United States. It is known for its high admissions rate to IVY League schools in addition to competitive colleges and universities.

Learners have the option of participating in the PCD Global Academy to receive an American High School Diploma.

The AP International Diploma (APID) is a globally recognized certificate awarded to students who display exceptional achievement across a variety of disciplines. Learners don't need to apply for the Diploma; it's automatically awarded in the year all eligibility requirements are met.

Escola Concept believes MAP Growth is a significant assessment opportunity to collect data to inform our teaching and learning processes while allowing us to observe and document student growth and development. Nwea Map Test is part of our commitment to academic rigor. The Map Test provides a unique and personalized test for each student.

The United Nations Global Compact (UN Global Compact) is a special initiative of the United Nations Secretary-General dedicated to sustainability. The Global Compact is based on Ten Principles in the areas of human rights, labor practices, environmental protection and anti-corruption and promotes their integration in the strategy and operations of each company. The UN Global Compact has also the responsibility of contributing to the achievement of the goals of the Sustainable Development Goals and the 2030 Agenda.

The Babson EPIC (Entrepreneurship Program for Innovators and Changemakers) program focuses on teaching fundamental entrepreneurial skills and principles within the context of the global business environment.

The diploma program typically covers topics such as innovation, venture creation, business management, and leadership, providing students with the knowledge and tools to navigate the complexities of entrepreneurship on a global scale.
