Learning with Purpose Aprendizagem com propósito

At Escola Concept, learning is intentional, meaningful, and guided by purposeful pedagogical practices. The projects developed throughout the first semester of 2026 were supported by the Global Goals, alongside the learning standards connected to Fieldwork Education and the BNCC, creating authentic opportunities for inquiry, exploration, and growth.

Na Escola Concept, a aprendizagem é intencional, significativa e guiada por práticas pedagógicas com propósito. Os projetos desenvolvidos ao longo do primeiro semestre de 2026 foram apoiados pelos Global Goals, juntamente aos objetivos de aprendizagem conectados ao Fieldwork Education e à BNCC, criando oportunidades autênticas para investigação, exploração e crescimento.

At the same time, the Habits of Mind, developed

by The Habits of Mind Institute, nurtured in our learners the dispositions needed to think flexibly, act thoughtfully, and respond intelligently when faced with challenges, questions, and new experiences.

ABOUT THE LEARNING JOURNEY

Sobre a jornada de aprendizagem Learners explored how play connected people across generations. They listened to stories, investigated past and present games, and compared experiences. Through interviews and activities, they identified similarities and differences, understanding how culture and time influence play.

Os estudantes exploraram como o brincar conecta pessoas ao longo das gerações. Ouviram histórias, investigaram brincadeiras do passado e do presente e compararam experiências. Por meio de entrevistas e atividades, identificaram semelhanças e diferenças, compreendendo como a cultura e o tempo influenciam o brincar.

Grade 1 learners and families will explore toys inspired by past and present, created with recycled materials, discover a magazine of games, and enjoy student artwork inspired by Ivan Cruz.

GRADE 2 How do plants and animals sustain life and balance on Earth?

Como plantas e animais sustentam a vida e o equilíbrio na Terra?

ABOUT THE LEARNING JOURNEY

Sobre a jornada de aprendizagem In this project, learners were invited to investigate how biodiversity sustains the harmony of our planet.

By exploring Brazilian biomes, they discovered the importance of conserving fauna and flora, paying close attention to endangered species and the impact of human actions on nature. Through hands-on and sensory experiences, students learned about the functions of plants and the importance of conscious consumption, practicing self-control and responsibility in their choices.

FESTIVAL OF LEARNING 2026

Neste projeto, os estudantes foram convidados a investigar como a biodiversidade sustenta a harmonia do nosso planeta. Ao explorarem os biomas brasileiros, eles descobriram a importância da conservação da fauna e da flora, com um olhar atento às espécies ameaçadas e ao impacto das ações humanas na natureza. Por meio de experiências práticas e sensoriais, os estudantes aprenderam sobre as funções das plantas e a importância do consumo consciente, exercitando o autocontrole e a responsabilidade em suas escolhas.

WHAT WILL HAPPEN IN THE FOL? O quevai acontecer no FOL? During the festival, the school community will be invited to visit an exhibition showcasing the creations and processes of the project. In addition to the artworks, there will be interactive stations inspired by the activities carried out throughout the project, allowing family and friends to experience a bit of the students' creative journey.

Durante o festival, a comunidade escolar será convidada a visitar uma exposição com as criações e processos do projeto. Além das obras, teremos estações interativas inspiradas nas propostas realizadas ao longo do projeto permitindo assim que familiares e amigos vivenciem um pouco da jornada criativa dos estudantes.

GRADE 3 A&B How do Natural Forces and Human Actions Shape the Functioning of Planet Earth?

Como as Forças Naturais e as Ações Humanas Moldam o Funcionamento do Planeta Terra?

ABOUT THE LEARNING JOURNEY

Sobre a jornada de aprendizagem Learners will investigate how natural forces and human actions shape Planet Earth. Through experiments, observation, reading, and research, they will explore Earth’s systems, resources, sustainability, and how responsible choices can help care for the planet.

FESTIVAL OF LEARNING 2026

Os estudantes investigarão como forças naturais e ações humanas moldam o Planeta Terra. Por meio de experimentos, observação, leitura e pesquisa, explorarão sistemas, recursos e sustentabilidade, refletindo sobre escolhas responsáveis para cuidar do planeta.

WHAT WILL HAPPEN IN THE FOL? O quevai acontecer no FOL? The FoL will be an open learning journey with posters, experiment stations, and student-led workshops. Families will move through experiences that reveal how learners investigated, tested ideas, built explanations, and connected natural forces and human actions to Planet Earth.

GRADE 4 A&B How do natural and human movements shape the world?

Como os movimentos naturais e humanos moldam o mundo?

ABOUT THE LEARNING JOURNEY

Sobre a jornada de aprendizagem The project explored how natural and human movements shaped time, space, and societies. Students investigated the Sun’s role in measuring time and calendars, spatial orientation, and human migration, connecting these to sustainability and how movement transforms communities and environments.

FESTIVAL OF LEARNING 2026

O projeto explorou como movimentos naturais e humanos moldaram o tempo, o espaço e as sociedades. Os alunos investigaram o papel do Sol na medição do tempo e nos calendários, a orientação espacial e as migrações, relacionando isso à sustentabilidade.

WHAT WILL HAPPEN IN THE FOL? O quevai acontecer no FOL? Families will watch a play in the Author's Space related to natural movements. In the classroom, they will explore student work through wall displays, interactive activities, and published writing from our project.

As familias assistirão a uma peça no Espaço do Autor relacionada aos movimentos naturais. Na sala de aula, poderão explorar os trabalhos dos alunos por meio de murais, atividades interativas e produções escritas publicadas do projeto.

GRADE 5 A&B How does water flow through beings, spaces, and time?

Como a água flui através dos seres, espaços e tempo?

ABOUT THE LEARNING JOURNEY

Sobre a jornada de aprendizagem Across a sequence of learning opportunities, students will begin with a KWL routine, investigate water’s role in body systems, research filtration technologies, collect and analyze school water samples, compare data, discuss water use in technology and AI systems, and create texts, graphs, and informative materials.

FESTIVAL OF LEARNING 2026

Ao longo de oportunidades de aprendizagem, os estudantes iniciarão com a rotina KWL, investigarão o papel da água nos sistemas do corpo, pesquisarão tecnologias de filtragem, coletarão e analisarão água da escola, compararão dados, discutirão seu uso em tecnologias e IA e produzirão textos e gráficos.

WHAT WILL HAPPEN IN THE FOL? O quevai acontecer no FOL? At the Festival of Learning, students will showcase a water-themed magazine and reports, present an AI tool on water use, share poems, lead the “Rate the Plate” game, exhibit the digestive system, run a coordinates game, and host podcasts on waterrelated debates.
