About the learning journey: This project aims to promote and enhance opportunities for exploration and experimentation through discoveries and investigations mediated especially by the use of open-ended materials and everyday objects (which are not classified as industrialized toys). The proposal was guided by the discovery of what was in the Treasures Basket, and the book Brown Bear, What do you see?, written by Bill Martin Jr. and Eric Carle.

About the learning journey: The project allowed learners to explore fruits in many ways, gathering data through all their senses by observing, touching, tasting, feeling, smelling, etc. It also allowed them to explore natural paint, by observing the nature around us, and investigating bugs in the garden. Learners understood the idea of a life cycle and related it to their growth and what they could do with progressive independence.

About the learning journey: Reality and imagination go together in Toddlers 2. Educators observed learners' great curiosity about characters and folk tales. The forest, for them, is the setting of the unknown, full of interesting elements and subjects. With the project, we sought to expand the linguistic and literary repertoire of learners through storytelling, songs and traditional games.

Sobre a jornada de aprendizagem: Realidade e imaginação caminham juntas no Toddlers 2. Os educadores observaram a grande curiosidade dos estudantes sobre personagens e contos infantis. A floresta, é para eles, o cenário do desconhecido, repleto de elementos e assuntos interessantes. Families will be invited to make popsicle stick characters that will be used by the community during the Festival in a theatrical setting. The community will be able to visit our learning space/Forest to play and perform in the theater setting using dolls made by them in a station offered by the Toddlers 2B group.

About the learning journey: We noted how much the Toddlers 2C children enjoy interacting with nature and how eager they are to collect seeds, leaves, twigs, stones, sand, soil, and clay. They also enjoy observing the small insects that live in these areas. We hope to create a range of possibilities for children to observe elements and changes resulting from this curious mindset.

About the learning journey: By observing learners' interests, educators noticed that they engaged in symbolic activities involving cooking and eating.

The cafeteria emerged, then, as a space to provide moments of learning and coexistence, understanding the rules and procedures, and how their attitude towards these procedures can impact our school community.

What is the relationship between measurements and quantities for what we want to build?

About the learning journey: Children were observed playing with various materials and organizing them by size, color, fitting, stacking, or forming lines. Learners were given resources to construct, represent, or communicate during this process. Fundamentally, the constructions drew a lot of attention from the group, prompting inquiries about the materials' size and functionalities.

About the learning journey: This project was born from children's growing curiosity about construction, wooden blocks, and LEGO® pieces. Other creations emerged when we offered different explorations, such as clay and metal materials. The research took two main paths: one related to the different types of housing that exist and the different people that occupy them; and the second path was related to the materials and procedures to build something.

How does Pre-K4B reframe daily materials?

Como o Pre-K4B ressignifica materiais de uso cotidiano?

About the learning journey: The objective of the project was to expand the student's possibilities of action when involved in situations such as the issue of broken toys or other items. Gradually, the learners discovered that the way they treat the collective materials and the learning environment reflects directly on our community's well-being. Along this way, we conducted research with old computers that became seed cradles, made pencil holders with magazine paper, and built shelves with cardboard boxes, among others. The children refashioned what was in disuse into something useful for the group.

Sobre a jornada de aprendizagem: O projeto buscou ampliar as possibilidades de atuação dos estudantes quando envolvidos em situações-problema, como a questão de materiais quebrados.

Aos poucos, descobriram que a forma como tratam os materiais coletivos e o ambiente de aprendizagem reflete diretamente no bem-estar de nossa comunidade. Nesse caminho, fizeram pesquisas com computadores antigos que viraram berços de sementes, fizeram porta-lápis com papel de revista,

How can the action of exploring pathways guide learning toward innovation, sustainability, and logical thinking?

About the learning journey: During this project, learners explored the collective spaces of the school and as a result, they were provoked to think about the changes over time, building a sense of entrepreneurship while recognizing innovation over time. The learners also reflected upon the trails and spaces that could be found on the school map, connecting and extending their knowledge on the topic to the pathways that can also be found in board games. By exploring and creating board games, learners interacted, socialized, and developed logical thinking and early mathematical concepts.

About the learning journey: Kinder A learners learned that ​If we get something from nature, we have to give something back. Having Global Goal #9 in mind: Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure, the children suggested that we create a vegetable garden to provide us with food. Following their rule: if we eat a tomato, we have to plant tomatoes. Our research, then, started! We've also noticed a great common interest by observing the children in moments of free choice: drawing! At this stage of learning, some of the expectations are that children become able to value and respect the differences in others, communicate and listen with empathy and understanding, and strive for accuracy. With this in mind, we decided to merge our love of drawing with our expectations by creating a project that incorporates a feedback culture into our daily routine. Receiving and providing feedback at this age is an important and critical task as our goal is to support children for their future lives.

About the learning journey: During the research, we involved children in reflecting on some changes that occurred due to a specific need, such as communication. The atmosphere was purposefully designed to allow learners to freely explore other languages, and the symbolic game encouraged them to understand everyday experiences in the construction of our city.

About the learning journey: During the project "How public spaces promote relationships?" The children investigated, researched, and shared the information learned about birds with the community. Along the way, learners came into contact with different languages, and textual and oral genres. By verbally expressing their curiosities, they found strategies to respond to them. They wrote questions and collective invitations for their guests to explain the project to the community, and concluded that captions help people's understanding of topics. Through this research, they used several materials to represent their hypotheses related to nests and birds and created their own animals and houses, using precise language to express ideas.

Sobre a jornada de aprendizagem: Durante o projeto "Como os espaços públicos promovem relacionamentos?", as crianças investigaram, pesquisaram e compartilharam com a comunidade as informações aprendidas sobre as aves. Ao longo do caminho, os aprendizes entraram em contato com diferentes linguagens, gêneros textuais e orais. Ao expressarem verbalmente suas curiosidades, encontraram estratégias para responder a elas. Escreveram perguntas e convites coletivos para os convidados, explicaram o projeto para a comunidade e chegaram à conclusão de que as legendas auxiliam no entendimento das pessoas sobre os temas. Por meio dessa pesquisa, utilizaram diversos materiais para representar suas hipóteses relacionadas a ninhos e pássaros e criaram os próprios animais e as casas, utilizando linguagem precisa para expressar ideias.

O que vai acontecer no FOL? During the Festival of Learning, learners will encourage people to observe and understand their learning path through meaningful proposals. At the skatepark, learners will display their 3D and 2D dimensional creations and invite families to engage in an observation drawing. In addition, at the learning space families will be encouraged to interact with different academic proposals made by Kinder C learners such as the research corner, bird games, poems, recipes, appreciation of learners' physical portfolios, etc.

How can we foster the creation while positively impacting the environment through the reframing of objects and materials?

Como podemos fomentar a criação e impactar positivamente o meio ambiente por meio da ressignificação de objetos e materiais?

About the learning journey: During the project, learners were invited to observe the different types of art they could find outside the school, and after sharing their findings, they experienced the possibility of reframing the materials available in their learning space, inspired by these references.

In order to bring contributions and expand our learner's repertoire within this path, they were visited by three guests: Fabia, Walter, and Felipe. They explained to our learners how to recycle plastic packaging and bottle caps and transform them into furniture, keychains, and spinning tops, bringing plastic samples from all stages of the process. The children could see that what they were doing is crucial for their future and fundamental for humanity.

Sobre a jornada de aprendizagem: Durante o projeto, os estudantes foram convidados a observar os diferentes tipos de arte que poderiam encontrar fora da escola e, depois de compartilhar suas descobertas, vivenciaram a possibilidade de ressignificar os materiais disponíveis em seu espaço de aprendizagem, inspirados nessas referências.

Com o objetivo de trazer contribuições e ampliar o repertório dos aprendizes dentro desse percurso, o grupo recebeu três convidados: Fabia, Walter e Felipe explicaram às crianças como reciclar embalagens plásticas e tampinhas de garrafa e transformá-las em móveis, chaveiros e piões, trazendo amostras plásticas de todas as etapas do processo. As crianças viram que o que estão fazendo é extremamente importante para seu futuro e fundamental para a humanidade.

Documenting time: How can Grade 1A learners frame History and impact change?

About the learning journey: The year began with deep conversations about the impacts of Visual Arts on society due to our school year's theme, The Week of Modern Art. Connecting the theme to the History and Humanities curriculum, students started the project using Visual Arts and Photography as a way to document and record time. The learners realized that they could do this by studying and researching the history of the city of São Paulo, contrasting elements of the past and the present, identifying possible problems that infrastructure innovation may have brought, and anticipating solutions that may be important.

Sobre a jornada de aprendizagem: O ano iniciou com conversas profundas sobre os impactos das Artes Visuais na sociedade devido ao nosso tema do ano - A Semana de Arte Moderna.

Conectando o tema ao currículo de História e Humanidades, os estudantes iniciaram o projeto utilizando as Artes Visuais e a Fotografia como forma de documentar e registrar o tempo. Os estudantes perceberam que poderiam fazer isso, estudando e pesquisando a história da cidade de São Paulo, contrastando elementos do passado e do presente, e identificando possíveis problemas que a inovação da infraestrutura pode ter trazido, e antecipando soluções que podem ser importantes.

Those who would like to attend the documentary can be in room 21 to watch it at 9:30 a.m. Those who want to be present for the exhibition can be on the second floor (Coworking) at 10:00 a.m. when we will inaugurate it and open the exhibition for the whole school.

About the learning journey: What does it mean to be part of a learning community? Guided by our discoveries on community sense and infrastructure studies, Grade 1C learners invite you to travel to Fortaleza and learn from a different perspective. Our external mural shows the product: a piece of art that shares the meaningful experiences of the learning process through the eyes of Grade 1C learners. We also share a prototype drainage system developed by volunteers in partnership with students.

The experience is open to the whole community. It is a "museum" experience in which the timeline is inside the learning space, and the culmination is outside with "mini-books" explanations. The mural is interactive to increase visitor understanding.

Flying future: what will the means of transport look like in the future?

About the learning journey: For Grade 2A children, innovation seemed to be related to "cool and fun" gadgets. This project focused on deepening learners' knowledge of innovation and technology needs related to the means of transport. Throughout the project, they identified an issue regarding the means of transportation within the school: how do some people not use the app and the proper gates for picking up their children? As a result, they participated in both planning and making of an instructional video to distribute and inform our school community.

About the learning journey: Grade 2 learners will present 2 projects. In the first, they investigated sewage infrastructure to understand its connection to our toilets, our city's rivers, and the pollution involved. In the second project, they will present the beginning of their research on quality education (Global Objective 4).

Sobre a jornada de aprendizagem: Os estudantes do Grade 2 apresentarão dois projetos. No primeiro, investigaram a infraestrutura de esgoto para entender sua conexão com nossos banheiros, os rios de nossa cidade e a poluição envolvida. No segundo projeto, apresentarão o início de sua investigação sobre educação de qualidade (Objetivo Global 4).

What will happen in the FOL? In project 1, visitors will be invited to finalize a city model with the students, in order to represent the path that the sewage goes through the pipes, the water, and sewage treatment system and also the connection to the rivers of our city. Visitors and students will find humor creating their own tongue twisters, as a collaborative task related to project 2.

About the learning journey: The project explored the artistic movements of Modernism and how they are able to impact and inspire people to act as citizens of the world. During the History and Natural Sciences lessons, learners researched street art in connection with the history of São Paulo and its neighborhoods. This way, they understood the impacts of art on the community in which they live.

These questions can be accessed from a philosophical or, more commonly, a religious perspective. However, in a secular and inclusive context, they were accessed from a historical-critical perspective: both from our recent past towards our future. Our investigations allowed a critical analysis of the impact of infrastructural innovations on the occupation of nature, its transformation and changes in the production means and work. We will continue to investigate to consider, in an innovative way, the inevitable advances, technologies, and socio-cultural transformations for the next 100 years, especially from the perspective of the occupation of new (Who knows? interplanetary) territories.

About the learning journey: A functioning and resilient infrastructure is the foundation of every successful community. To meet future challenges, our industries and infrastructure must be upgraded. Throughout the project, learners had the opportunity to meet wheelchair users and visually impaired people to understand their needs. They created, for instance, arts adapted to be explored with the hands, and investigated how Escola Concept's infrastructred could be improved for better accessibility.

About the learning journey: In the Project Design/Design Technologies classes, the learning journey of the 5th-grade groups started by arousing curiosity and provoking thoughts about the Global Sustainable Development Goal 9 - Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure. After empathizing with each target more deeply, students showed greater interest in the theme of innovation. Through research on innovation, we came across the topic of machine learning: artificial intelligence. Learners engaged in understanding how machine learning works and how it could connect with the systems of the human body, in addition to mental health, fitness, and healthy eating.

Visitors will be able to take a ball and place it on a device that will show what idea it represents on a big screen. The ideas were raised through a survey in the school community and organized in a graph by the learners. The goal is to make people aware of the importance of having a healthy life.

About the learning journey: The project focused on changes in working conditions and communication during the beginning of the 20th century brought on by the Industrial Revolution and the Modern Art week. Throughout the process, learners were able to perceive the relevance of this busy and dynamic century, connecting to how we work and communicate nowadays. Learners questioned and criticized working relations before and after the Industrial Revolution, facing the role of the machine and the changes that occurred in the industry sector, and also wondered how the communication boom in the 20th century took place and made the world more connected. The theme allowed everyone to compare, understand and find advantages and problems related to innovations.

How did the week of 22 impact Brazil in terms of innovation, access to art, education and architecture?

Como a semana de 22 impactou o Brasil em termos de inovação, acesso à arte, educação e arquitetura?

About the learning journey: The purpose was to understand how architecture and education were impacted by Industrialization and the Semana de Arte Moderna de 1922. Our learners were introduced to visual provocations and debates about the subjects of public spaces, and their relationship with education and art. After deciding on a problem, they explored more and empathized with it. Therefore, they created prototypes of possible solutions and tested them to be able to check their effectiveness. At the end of this project, they will present and celebrate their results with the community.

Sobre a jornada de aprendizagem: O objetivo foi entender como a arquitetura e a educação foram impactadas pela Industrialização e pela Semana de Arte Moderna de 1922. Nossos estudantes foram apresentados a provocações visuais e debates sobre os temas dos espaços públicos e sua relação com a educação e a arte . Depois de decidir sobre um problema, exploraram-no mais e estabeleceram empatia com ele. A partir daí, criaram protótipos de possíveis soluções e testaram para poder verificar sua eficácia. Ao final deste projeto, eles vão apresentar e comemorar seus resultados com a comunidade.

What will happen in the FOL? O que vai acontecer no FOL? Learners will present 3 final products. One focuses on what the fifth industrial inspired by Walmart and Nike's experiences in the Metaverse. The second prototype thinks of what classrooms will look like in the future using a hologram. The third group decided to focus on education and how innovative classrooms are nowadays compared to the traditional ones from not too long ago.

Os estudantes vão apresentar três produtos finais. Um se concentra em como será a quinta revolução industrial: os alunos construíram dois modelos de lojas, tanto digitais quanto físicas, inspiradas nas experiências do Walmart e da Nike no Metaverso. How did the week of 22 impact Brazil in terms of innovation, access to art, education, and architecture?

Como a semana de 22 impactou o Brasil em termos de inovação, acesso à arte, educação e arquitetura?

About the learning journey: The purpose was to understand how architecture and education were impacted by Industrialization and the Modern Art Week of 1922. Our learners were introduced to visual provocations and debates about the subjects of public spaces, and their relationship with education and art. After deciding on a problem, they explored more and empathized with it. From there, they created prototypes of possible solutions and tested them in order to verify their effectiveness. At the end of this project, they will present and celebrate their results with the community.

Sobre a jornada de aprendizagem: O objetivo foi entender como a arquitetura e a educação foram impactadas pela Industrialização e pela Semana de Arte Moderna de 1922. Nossos estudantes foram apresentados a provocações visuais e debates sobre os temas dos espaços públicos, e sua relação com a educação e a arte . Depois de decidir sobre um problema, eles exploraram mais e empatizaram com ele. A partir daí, criaram protótipos de possíveis soluções e testaram para poder verificar sua eficácia. Ao final deste projeto, eles irão apresentar e comemorar seus resultados com a comunidade.

What will happen in the FOL?

FESTIVAL OF LEARNING 2022

O que vai acontecer no FOL? Learners prepared a metalinguistic experience to present three final products showing possible improvements for the school environment. The first group did a virtual 3D model of the Blue Sports Court. The other one focused on the interiors of the new High School Building, and they created a virtual and a real 3D model of their learning space. The last group organized a Student Council in order to help improve communication and relationship between leadership and students in matters such as school architecture and improvements.

Os estudantes prepararam uma experiência metalinguística para apresentar três produtos finais mostrando possíveis melhorias para o ambiente escolar. O primeiro grupo fez uma maquete virtual em 3D da Quadra de Esportes Azul. O outro se concentrou nos interiores do novo prédio do High School, e criou um modelo virtual e real de seu espaço de aprendizagem. O último grupo

organizou um Conselho Estudantil para ajudar a melhorar a comunicação e o relacionamento entre liderança e estudantes em assuntos como arquitetura escolar e melhorias.
