There is something wonderfully exciting about discovering what makes a city come
alive — its people, its flavours, its style, its stories and the little moments that become part of our everyday lives. This October, Tulip brings all of these together in an issue that celebrates the many different sides of contemporary Hyderabad. Our featured conversation with Dolly Sadnani takes us behind the screen and into the journey of a young digital creator who has grown through spontaneity, persistence and a distinctly Hyderabadi voice. Her story is not simply about followers and content; it is about finding your individuality, learning from setbacks and continuing to evolve. DOLLY SADNANI A Digital Creator bringing together entertainment, lifestyle, trends and relatable moments, with her own distinctive Hyderabad connect.
What is a typical day like in Dolly Sadnani’s life when you are not busy shooting or creating content? My typical day starts with waking up and heading to the gym. I usually stream at night, often around midnight, and in between, I like going out, spending time with people, exploring Hyderabad, and naturally creating content along the way. I’m actually a very spontaneous person when it comes to content. I don’t overthink or plan every single thing I post. If I’m out and I see something that feels interesting or worth capturing, I’ll just record it and turn it into content. So, for me, it’s really about enjoying my day and letting the content happen naturally.

LIFESTYLE I How did your journey into content creation begin, and when did you realise that this was something you genuinely wanted to pursue? I actually started creating content when I was very young, around 15 or 16. I started by making videos and acting in front of the camera on apps like Likee and VidMate. I always loved being in front of the camera and sharing things with people. Then, when those apps were banned, I shifted to Instagram and later started my YouTube channel when I was 17. Even today, I continue creating different kinds of content, from live streaming and gaming to vlogs and lifestyle content. I’ve always had a strong connection with the camera. I used to watch a lot of YouTube and Instagram content and think, “I want to do something like this too.” I’ve never really been someone who enjoys the traditional 9-to-5 job format. I wanted to build something of my own, have the freedom to manage my time, and create a source of income through something I genuinely enjoyed. Honestly, when I started, I never thought I would have a future in content creation. But I believe that when you genuinely decide to pursue something and keep working towards it, you can slowly create your own path. And that’s how my journey evolved into what I do today.
You’ve explored different sides of content creation, from gaming and live streaming to lifestyle and trendled content. How would you describe your content style, and what makes a piece of content feel authentically Dolly? I started my journey with gaming and live streaming, and eventually explored lifestyle and trend-led content. Right now, I would describe my content as very spontaneous and raw. Earlier, I used to overthink everything before posting — “Will people watch this? What will they think?” — but over time, I’ve changed that mindset. Now, I’m more comfortable just being myself — talking, yapping about random things, discussing Hyderabadi things, general topics, or simply sharing whatever is on my mind. I think that spontaneity is what makes my content feel like me. Gaming and live streaming are still a huge part of my journey because that’s something I genuinely enjoy. I also love doing IRL streams, vlogs, exploring new places and meeting new people. For me, whether it’s gaming, lifestyle or just me sitting and talking, the most “Dolly” content is the content where I’m not trying too hard — I’m just being myself, being spontaneous and having fun with it. I LIFESTYLE Your association with Playground Global Season 3 was an exciting chapter. What did that experience teach you about yourself, and how did it influence you as a creator? Playground Global Season 3 was a very exciting chapter for me because it was my first reality show, and I was only around 19–20 years old. Getting an opportunity like that so early in my journey was something I had never really imagined. I’ve always loved watching reality shows, so actually being a part of one felt surreal. The experience itself was quite intense. You’re living with so many new personalities, some of them much bigger names, and one day can genuinely feel like ten days. I remember entering the “kill zone” on day one, and that really brought me down mentally. I got eliminated in the first week, which honestly still hurts a little when I think about it. But looking back, that experience taught me something really important — not to let one setback or one bad moment demotivate me. I feel if I had stayed more positive and believed in myself at that point, things could have been different. But it was my first experience, and I’m actually grateful I got to learn that lesson so early. As a creator, it also made me realise how much I enjoy being in a reality-show environment. I love the unpredictability, the people, the conversations and just being myself in front of a camera without everything being planned. It was a once-in-a-lifetime experience for me, even though it lasted only a week.
Social media can look glamorous from the outside. What is one part of a creator’s life that people rarely see behind the camera? I think social media is obviously a very filtered version of someone’s life. You might see a reel and think, “Oh my God, her life is so beautiful, she has everything,” but you never really know what is happening behind the camera. For me, a lot of my struggles have been outside of content creation. I’ve had my share of family problems and personal things that you carry in your mind, and when you’re dealing with all of that, it’s not always easy to switch on a camera and suddenly be creative, energetic and happy. There was also a phase when I used to go to events and constantly compare myself with other creators. I would look at someone and think, “Oh my God, she’s so beautiful, her outfit is so good, her makeup is perfect,” and then look at myself and feel like I didn’t have those things. I was also dealing with thyroid and PCOD, which affected how I felt about my body and appearance at times. I didn’t always have the makeup, the clothes, the body confidence or the resources that I felt everyone else had. And as a lifestyle creator, there’s already this pressure to look good, dress well and always be camera-ready. Even when I started creating content, I didn’t have the perfect setup or a beautiful background. I had to work with what I had and slowly build everything myself. Eventually, as I grew through content creation, I was able to create my own space where I could have everything I needed — from my setup to my PC, where I can comfortably live stream. 12 OCT, 2026 TULIP
LIFESTYLE I Hyderabad is a city full of character, food, fashion and culture. How does the city influence your content and your personal style? Hyderabad influences my content a lot, but more than the city itself, I think it’s the people who influence me the most. Hyderabadi people are genuinely something else — they’re welcoming, funny, chilled out and they know how to enjoy life. I feel like there’s this beautiful balance here: you work, you handle your responsibilities, but you also make time to have chai, go out, eat good food, explore places and just enjoy with your people. And Hyderabad itself never really feels quiet. There’s always something happening — a new place opening, a festival coming up, an event, a food trend, IPL season, or just something random that becomes the talk of the city. There’s always something to talk about, and honestly, that gives me endless content. A lot of my content is basically me yapping about what’s happening around Hyderabad. If Ganesh Chaturthi is around, I want to show how joyful the city gets during the festival. During Navratri, I want to explore that side of Hyderabad. During IPL season, I love showing what the city feels like when everyone gets into the cricket spirit. Even if it’s just a new food place or something happening somewhere in the city, I love being part of it and talking about it. I think that’s also become a big part of my personal style — very spontaneous, very conversational and very Hyderabad. What has been one of your most memorable moments so far — a reel, collaboration, event or opportunity that you will always remember? Honestly, when I look at reels, collaborations, events or opportunities, I don’t think I’ve had that one big memorable moment yet that I would call the moment of my journey. But my most recent and definitely very memorable milestone would be reaching 100K. More than the number itself, it’s what came with it that means the most to me. Now, whenever I go somewhere, people recognise me, come up to say hi, ask for pictures and tell me that they enjoy my content. Even people I know personally — my friends, cousins, or their families — randomly tell me that they’ve seen me on their feed. That feeling is crazy because when you’re sitting alone making a reel, you don’t really realise how many people are actually watching you. I also feel like I’ve gone from being someone people had opinions about to someone they genuinely appreciate and support. I’ve had people who didn’t understand me initially become people who now show me so much love. That change is very special to me. Recently, I had a meet-up where I honestly didn’t expect so many people to show up, but a lot of people came and we had such a good time. Meeting people who have been watching my content in real life is something I can’t really explain. It’s one of those moments where you suddenly think, “Oh my God, I actually achieved something.” From the beginning, all I really wanted was to earn love and respect through my work, and seeing that happen in real life is probably the most memorable part of my journey so far. Looking ahead, what is the dream you are chasing beyond followers and social media — and what would you love Tulip readers to see from Dolly next? I think I focus more on goals than dreams. I’ve recently reached 100K, and now my next goal is 1 million. But for me, it’s not just about reaching a number. With every milestone, I want to keep evolving my content and bring something new to it. I want to explore more lifestyle content, travel more, create travel vlogs, keep doing my yapping content and just experiment with different formats. I also really want to take my YouTube journey forward and grow Miss Senorita into something much bigger. At the same time, I want to start a completely new chapter for myself personally. I really want to focus on my health, work on my PCOD and thyroid with the right care, and go through my own transformation journey. I want to become a healthier, more confident version of myself and feel like I’m starting a fresh journey in my life. And one thing I definitely want to do more of is reality shows. I genuinely love reality shows, and doing a really good one, getting that recognition and coming back to tell my story about the experience — I think that’s something I’d love Tulip readers to see from me in the future. So, if you ask me what’s next for Dolly, it’s more experiences, better content, bigger goals, more travel, more reality shows, a personal transformation and, hopefully, a lot more people coming along for the journey. Rapid Fire Coffee or chai? Honestly, I’m a matcha person! But I love coffee and chai too. So basically, I’m all three — matcha, coffee and chai. Depends on the mood! Hyderabad biryani or your ultimate comfort food? My comfort food, always! I love biryani, but I can’t eat it every day. Give me butter masala dosa, sushi and matcha — that’s my happy meal! One celebrity you’d love to create content with? Definitely Ranveer Singh! I’m a Sindhi and he’s a Sindhi too, so I feel like we’d instantly have that connection. He’s super energetic, funny and completely crazy in the best way, and I feel like our energies would match really well. Creating content with him would honestly be so much fun!
If your life were a movie, what would you name it? “Dolly Ka Dhamaka” or “Dolly, Chai Aur Uski Bakbak.”

Baan Phadthai brings its Bangkok-born Thai concept to Hitech City. The restaurant is centred around traditional Thai flavours, with its signature Phad Thai made using premium rice noodles and a sauce designed to balance sweet, tangy and umami notes. The menu also includes Gai Tawt, Poh Pia Tawt, satay, a Bangkok-style jumbo lump crab omelette with tom yum reduction and Esaan-style Laab. How often should a pet be examined regularly? It completely depends on the age of the pet. Older pets will need more regular checks than younger ones. But on average, we advise bi-annual visits to ensure everything is normal.
What is the best healthy dog food? Home food is not the healthiest diet for pets. It is neither balanced nor complete as no matter how hard we try, we do skip out on some essential trace minerals and vitamins. This is the main reason vets suggest commercial diets which have been formulated after years of research and trials. However, if the pet parents still prefer home food over a commercial diet, supplements should be added regularly to help reduce the gap between the supply and demand of the nutrients.
Which do you prefer: adopting a puppy or buying a new one? As a vet, we see many people buying pets and then abandoning them. I am a strong believer in ADOPT DON'T SHOP. There are so many pets looking for loving homes. Not just this, buying pets also give breeders more encouragement to continue misusing female dogs for indiscriminate breeding.

What advice would you give to a new pet parent? To be consistent and not get overwhelmed and give up on the puppy. Puppies can be a handful and require constant attention just like babies. Also, it is important to do thorough research before getting a puppy. There are many things to be taken into consideration, like how big the pup will get, the space requirements, exercise requirements, the amount of time that can be dedicated to the puppy, monitory restrictions, etc. It is important to remember a puppy is a long-term commitment.
How should one care for a pet's hygiene? Regular baths with pet shampoos (Never use any human products on pets without asking your vet), trimming their nails regularly, keeping their ears clean, and most importantly, brushing their teeth daily. Oral hygiene is something which is the most neglected yet most important in maintaining their hygiene and health. Other than this, it helps to wipe your pet's paws with pet wipes or paw cleansers after every walk.
How frequently should a pet be walked? The frequency or time per walk again varies from breed to breed. Ideally, all dogs need to be walked 2-3 times a day to carry out their regular business. Other than this, the larger breeds like Labradors, German shepherds, Great Danes, etc which need more exercise and depend on us for that, should be taken for proper long runs at least twice a day.

What are your thoughts on the new pet cafes? Honestly, it was about time the city became more inclusive of pets. Considering how fast the pet population has increased in recent years, and the way pets have now become a part of the family, pet cafes were the need of the hour. They help pet parents in socializing with their pets and also take care of the separation anxiety most lockdown pets have due to being locked in with their parents for months. My only concern with the pet cafes is ticks and fleas which can easily be managed with preventive measures.
What basic precautions should be taken? It can be very easy to maintain pets if certain basic precautions and preventive measures are kept in mind. For dogs, basic steps like making sure they are on regular tick and flea prevention protocol, they are neutered on time, or female dogs are not taken out for walks when they are in heat, vaccinating them regularly, etc are enough to keep your pet safe and happy.
What is the significance of pet care? Pet care is not just restricted to providing shelter and food to the pet, it goes way beyond that. Proper pet care can increase your pet's life from a few months to years. This includes proper diet and nutrition, good oral hygiene, and maintaining their body weight to prevent obesity. Regular vet checks can help pet parents catch certain health issues at an early stage which again helps the pet greatly.

What are your thoughts on pet exercise? Pet obesity is just as real as human obesity. And while there are loads of great obesity diets available on the market, there is no substitute for exercise. Diet can only help our pets (and us) to a certain extent. Exercise is important to not just maintain weight but also for proper mental stimulation. Some high-energy pets like huskies tend to get destructive if they're unable to burn that energy productively. Walking a dog for 15 mins while the dog sniffs everything on the way does not count as exercise. It has to be a proper, undisturbed walk or preferably run. It is also important to exercise them on the right surface and at the right time. You cannot take your pet for a good long exercise session in the middle of the afternoon in peak summer. Exercise can be made a daily morning and evening routine and be used as a bonding time with the pet to ensure their and our own physical and mental health well-being.
What is a typical day in the life of a veterinarian? Most days are pretty regular with vaccine and general check cases, a surgery or two which are usually routine procedures, and a lot of diagnostics like blood tests, radiographs, and lab work. We do tend to get an emergency a day on average and these are the cases that test our mental health the most. It gets difficult to see simple and easily manageable cases turn into emergencies when the signs are not recognized on time. Or having to give pet parents bad news about their pet's condition. You can never get used to that side of the profession. But it is also very fulfilling and satisfying when a per recovers and you get to deliver good news and discharge the pet.
Do you believe that pets can make people happier? There have been numerous studies done that prove pets are good for mental health. Having a pet around has been shown to reduce stress, anxiety, and depression. In fact, in many places pets are used as emotional support animals and are allowed to be taken with their parent wherever they go.
