Shahrukh Khan

A people’s person, passionate about his work, and having a Hyderabadi slang is how Shahrukh can be best described. His videos are a great pastime if you want to have a hearty, healthy laugh. With the passion of a thousand burning suns, Shahrukh did not stop at just making videos. He has gone a step ahead and made two movies, both very successful.

“Agar kisi cheez ko dil se chaho toh poori kayenat tumhe use milane ki sazish mein lag jaati hai”, he says quoting Shahrukh Khan.

Tell us something about yourself?

I’m really passionate about making videos. I enjoy the process of writing, directing, acting, editing and everything related to it. Basically my life revolves around creating cool content on YouTube. I spend most of my time creating videos and coming up with funny ideas for my channel Hyderabad Diaries. How did you come up with the concept of Hyderabad Diaries?

I always wanted to do something that clearly brought out my creative side as well as my personality. As I spent a lot of my time surfing through the Internet, I definitely was inspired by a lot of YouTubers to start my own channel. Wanting to create something very unique, I realised that there weren’t any YouTube channels

LIFESTYLE I 12 FEB,2024 TULIP

that made videos with Hyderabadi Slang. What other motivation could I need? It seemed like the perfect idea to me. So, I started it.

What is the proudest moment in your career?

My proudest moment was when I made my first movie. When I first started my channel, I never thought that I’d reach a point where I would confidently make a movie of my own. But it happened and happened so well that the movie was a huge hit. At this point, I am done shooting for another movie which is going to hit the theatres very soon.

What do you do in your free time when you’re not working?

The usual guy stuff. I play video games, listen to music, order food, disappoint my parents, switch between social media apps scrolling through my feed for hours and order more food. I also love reading the comments on my pictures from all my fans. It brings me immense pleasure to receive so much love from people who I don’t even know personally. It really boosts my self esteem and encourages me to make more videos.

Where do you see yourself in the next 5 years?

“Celebrating the 5 year anniversary of you asking me this question” - Mitch Hedberg.

What does it take to be successful in the field you excel in?

It definitely takes a lot of passion because you cannot afford to get bored of the stuff you do. If you are not passionate about what you do, then you cannot deliver your 100% to the audience. It also takes a lot of consistency as you cannot be inconsistent when people are waiting for your content. In fact, there’s no place for inconsistency in any field and in any walk of life.

Rapid Fire

Three things you never leave home without?

My phone, wallet and car keys. Tell us the last lie you told someone?

“Reaching in 10 minutes bro.”

Are you a morning person or a night person?

Morning person. My mind is very fresh in the mornings.

Favourite movie quote?

Since I’m named after the king of Bollywood, it has to be “Senorita, aise bade bade deshon mein choti choti baatein hoti rehti hai.”

Your biggest addiction?

Movies- every language, every genre. What stores do you shop at most?

Fantoosh and Kumar shirts. Haha, kidding. I usually shop from UAE. One habit you would like to change about yourself?

My laziness.

Indian weddings are vibrant celebrations filled with colours, traditions, and extravagant festivities. Women'sAttire: RedefinedElegance

Indian brides are known for their stunning and elaborate attire that reflects centuries of tradition and cultural significance. The quintessential bridal ensemble for women is the saree, a timeless garment that drapes gracefully around the body, exuding elegance and sophistication. Embellished with intricate embroidery, luxurious fabrics, and adorned with dazzling jewellery, the bridal saree or lehanga transforms the bride into a vision of beauty on her special day. Additionally, contemporary brides are opting for unconventional fabrics like organza, georgette, and crepe, adorned with modern motifs and embellishments, to create a unique and personalised look.

Accessories play a crucial role in completing the bridal ensemble, with brides adorning themselves. From traditional gold jewelry to statement pieces featuring precious gemstones and pearls, bridal accessories add a touch of glamour and luxury to the overall look, enhancing the bride's natural beauty and elegance

Men'sAttire: SophisticationRegal

Indian grooms are no less impressive when it comes to their wedding attire, exuding charm, sophistication, and regal elegance. The traditional attire for grooms typically consists of a sherwani or kurta paired with churidar pants or dhoti, crafted from luxurious fabrics like silk, brocade, and velvet. Embellished with intricate embroidery, embellishments, and embellished buttons, the groom's attire exudes opulence and grandeur, reflecting the rich cultural heritage of India. From tailored suits and bandhgalas to stylish Nehru jackets and waistcoats, contemporary grooms have a plethora of options to choose from, allowing them to express their individual style and personality on their wedding day.

Accessories play a crucial role in completing the groom's ensemble, with grooms accessorising their attire with statement pieces like turbans, brooches, and embellished footwear. Traditional accessories like the safa (turban) add a regal touch to the groom's look, while modern accents like designer cufflinks and watches add a contemporary flair, creating a perfect balance between tradition and modernity.

The festive mood of the city is distinctly felt in the area around Charminar in Old City, the hub of shoppers and foodies during Ramzan. This part of the city has late nights because of a special night bazaar (market) that continues to throb till the wee hours of the morning. The bazaar comes alive with the glitters of bangles, the smell of Haleem, the flavor of Irani chai, the sheen of mehendi, the calls of vendors and the frenzy of shoppers.

Lad Bazaar famous for bangles is a favorite haunt of women shoppers during Ramzan. The bangle sellers sit with their merchandise in a row. The glitters of bangles of different colors and designs steal the show with each pair of eyes. If you move a little ahead in Lad Bazaar, the shops selling imitation jewellery will greet you. Tell us something about yourself.

After completing my Bachelors in commerce, I got married and had children, only after the children started school, I started my professional career

My career started with me working in the family business in building materials and chemical industry. After working in the family business for a few years I realized that this was not my cup of tea (pun not intended) and started down the path of F&B on my own

Have you faced any barriers in your career due to being a woman? If so, how did you overcome them?

The two big challenges of being new to the industry were:

a. had to start from scratch and go up a very steep learning curve.

b. lacked the credibility in the industry, it was difficult to get people. For example, chefs were reluctant to join a new organization

As a woman, did you have to make any sacrifices professionally and personally at any stage in your career?

Barring a few people with old-fashioned mindsets, by and large I am fortunate to have been born in a generation that is forward thinking and women and men are respected for their work and not necessarily for their gender.

Please elaborate on your role as part of FICCI Y-flo?

My experience with FICCI Y-flo was vastly enriching, not only did it give me a chance to meet, interact and learn from some amazing women leaders it pushed me out of my comfort zone to be more social, more confident and more entrepreneurial

Vratika Aggarwal

@maisonsia

Tell us about your journey with your popular venture Maison Sia, how did you first begin, how long did it take you to find success?

Maison Sia came very naturally and instinctively due to a big problem and a gap that I figured in the market. I started Maison Sia after the birth of my first son, when he was four months old. It felt like a burning desire to fix something, a push to create a solution for a long-standing issue. Plus, it was a fantastic way to satiate consumers’ needs and indulge my passion for luxury & design and turn it into a thriving business. The inspiration behind it all stems from the belief that the luxury and design industry is rapidly evolving, especially in India, which I foresee dominating global lists in the next decade. I'm determined to see Maison Sia right at the top of that list as a brand, making its mark in this dynamic and growing industry.

COVER STORY I 32 FEB,2024 TULIP

Tell us something about yourself.

I'm a designer dreamer with a keen eye for pixel-perfect detail. I’m extremely passionate and ambitious and deeply value good relationships. My value for ethics and strong drive define my professional approach.

Have you faced any barriers in your career due to being a woman? If so, how did you overcome them?

I think a big challenge that every woman faces while carving out her career path is the battle against the thoughts and conditioning we've soaked up over the years. That was one challenge I think I had and at one point I had to make a choice if it's going to be all family or work or both and I overcame it by jotting down my priorities on paper, reinforcing the idea that my professional pursuits are integral to my identity. Managing societal and mental conditioning proved to be a significant hurdle, especially while convincing my father about pursuing education and a career independently. But I think I've been really blessed to have some amazing people around me, which is why I was able to step up and do what I wanted in due time.

How have you balanced being a mother, wife and a professional?

I’ve got this large sheet of paper put up in my office which I look into everyday, it says quality over quantity. So whatever time I spend with my family, my kids or my husband, I value the quality of it rather than quantity. I believe in making those moments count rather than just ticking the clock. There's something about having less time that makes you give your absolute best. Being a professional comes naturally to me because it aligns with my passion and ambition, and I like that part of me because it makes me learn, evolve every day which may not be the case in any other scenario. But as a mother, there's this inevitable guilt we all carry I tackle it by jotting down my thoughts and finding my own solutions. That piece of paper, reminding me to be where I'm needed and figuring out the rest, is my lifesaver. I'd recommend sticking a note like that in front of you—it works wonders!

What are you working on currently?

Currently I'm working on expanding Maison Sia pan India and getting the best brands from all over the world. On a personal front, my biggest commitment is diving into at least 10 books this quarter which make me evolve and grow as a person. Moreover, I’m also expanding the business vertical at Maison Sia to be the ultimate destination for all things luxury at home, catering to every need of interior designers and architects

What career or business advice would you give to other young women?

I, definitely, very strongly, believe in dreams. If you can't imagine or dream of something, you cannot put it into action. So dream bigenvision a thriving career, dream of solving a real problem, especially if it's a problem close to your heart, you'll naturally give it your all because it’s something you are deeply connected and rooted to. Make an action plan, study the market, analyze your options, and have a well-prepared deck before diving into any business venture then move forward..

As a woman, did you have to make any sacrifices professionally and personally at any stage in your career?

I think every day is a balancing act. As women, we are the ones who beautifully shoulder the responsibility of expanding the human race, nurturing our families, and supporting our partner. I think that's something that comes along the way, but I wouldn't call it a sacrifice. I would call it the learning curve because if it wasn’t for the changes I experienced and went through to make balance and make sure everything is fully nourished and well-watered all across my company and my family, I wouldn't be who I am. So I think those sacrifices have a lot to add to my life rather than take away.

Tell us something about your proudest accomplishment.

I think my recent proudest accomplishment was to win the Economic Times Retail Excellence Award 2024 for Maison Sia. It's truly incredible to witness the growth and expansion we've achieved. It's also a great testimony to a fantastic team I have, it's all teamwork and it's something I'm really proud of and eagerly look forward to what’s next!

How do you blend life and work to create a life you want?

I think I sleep less, work more, that's my way of doing it. Beyond that, gratitude is a big part of my life. I make it a point to appreciate the work I do and cherish my home and family—I'm all about finding that balance. I make sure I plan my day in advance by writing everything that I need to do. I always have vision boards to define my week, my month and my year and so on and so forth. Having a clear vision for both my family life and work helps me strike that balance.

COVER STORY I 34 FEB,2024 TULIP

Tell us something about yourself?

I'm Karishma Hiranandani, founder of Feliz Decor, an event design and planning company dedicated to turning dream occasions into breathtaking realities. My background might surprise you – I hold a degree in mechanical engineering! However, my passion for crafting beautiful experiences led me to event planning. After a corporate stint in Dubai, I returned to India, took a 2-year break, honed my event planning skills, and eventually found my calling in making people's special days unforgettable.

Have you faced any barriers in your career due to being a woman?

If so, how did you overcome them?

Initially, being a woman in a sometimes male-dominated field, along with a surge of women entrepreneurs entering the event industry around the same time, presented certain skepticism. However, I focused on delivering flawless execution, showcasing my creative vision, and building strong relationships with clients and vendors. It's a reminder that determination and providing exceptional service can transcend any perceived barriers.

Tell us about your popular ventures. How did you first begin, and how long did it take you to find success?

Destination weddings are one of our most popular ventures. We transform scenic locations into bespoke celebration spaces. I stumbled upon event planning a little after working as an SME at a corporate company in Dubai where I was also part of the organisation's event planning committee. I then returned to India and enrolled myself in an event management course that has taught me so much about the industry. That was the beginning of my journey and eventually, Feliz Decor came into existence.

It took around 6 years of consistent work and innovative offerings to achieve our current widespread recognition.

What career or business advice would you give to other young women?

Find your unique voice and don't be afraid to break the mold. Passion and perseverance will pave your path, but also invest in your skills and business acumen. Build strong relationships in your field – mentorship, collaboration, and a supportive network are invaluable. And most importantly, believe in yourself and be surrounded by people who believe in you.

As a woman, did you have to make any sacrifices professionally and personally at any stage in your career?

Absolutely. The early years of building Feliz Decor involved incredibly long hours, often leading to missed homemade meals and personal events. Finding balance was a learning curve. Now, it's about setting clear boundaries and effective delegation. I truly believe that prioritizing moments of self-care and quality time with loved ones actually fuels my entrepreneurial spirit.

Tell us something about your proudest accomplishment?

My proudest moments come from the immense joy expressed by our couples, whether it's witnessing their delight at personalized table displays that reflect their relationship or their relief when complex logistics flow seamlessly. Beyond the events themselves, I'm also incredibly proud to have built a thriving business.

How do you blend life and work to create the life you want?

It's not about perfect balance, but flexibility and integration. I accept that some days will be heavily focused on work. I ensure non-negotiable time for things that bring me joy – whether it's a phone call with my best friend to complain about the weather or quality time with family. Sometimes, I interweave the two – my friends and family provide fresh perspectives on my work, and I bring that positive energy into my client relationships and I don't see that failing so far.

@samruddhisathe28

Tell us about your journey as a prosthetic MUA. How did you first begin and how long did it take you to find success?

My journey has been pretty straightforward. I’ve always loved makeup and knew I wanted a career in it. I was very lucky that I got introduced to the director and producer of the film Parched and they sort of helped me get my first internship in the industry with Ajay Devgan’s Shivaay. Success took a while though. I did a lot of amazing work but it took me 4 years to land my first project as the Head of Department for Pagglait. After that, things have been going good for me.

COVER STORY I 38 FEB,2024 TULIP

Tell us something about yourself.

I am Samruddhi Sathe, I am a professional makeup artist and I am currently 25.

Have you faced any barriers in your career due to being a woman? If so, how did you overcome them? As lucky as I have been, I definitely have faced a few barriers here and there. Surprisingly, the film makeup industry is much more male dominant, especially when I started 9 years ago, there were very few women who were trained professionally in makeup and sometimes the men weren’t always happy about women entering that space And another thing was always about my age. I started working at 16 & no matter how hard I worked or how good I was, my age was always a problem when it came to a position of responsibility

What are you working on currently?

I am currently working on a Telugu film, it’s my first. I am also doing a few shoots here and there while I work on my personal brand

What career or business advice would you give to other young women?

If you love a certain thing and are hesitant about choosing a stable job or your passion, just try and explore both if you have the ability to If you fail, atleast you know you tried.

As a woman, did you have to make any sacrifices professionally and personally at any stage in your career?

I don’t think I’ve made any major sacrifices per se, but health and routine in a career like mine is very bleak. Our work days are usually 12-14 hrs minimum and there are times when you work for 3 months and only get 5 days off. And most times I am never home, I hardly see my friends and family when I’m away

Tell us something about your proudest accomplishment?

I think what I’m most proud of is the fact that I am doing what I absolutely love and that I get to stand on my own feet and build something of my own

How do you blend life and work to create the life you want?

I am someone who gets very low energy after long projects, so after each long project I take a good month off or go on a trip.

Tell us something about yourself?

I'm Aanchal Nandwani, hailing from Surat, the vibrant city of diamonds and textiles. My love for fashion blossomed alongside the city's rich textile heritage, leading me to pursue my passion with a degree in fashion design. For over twelve years, I've poured my heart into creating garments, starting in a cozy home studio and now, alongside my incredible sister-in-law Latasha, building Label Hiari, a space where we craft custom-designed pieces that empower women to tell their unique stories. But my life isn't defined solely by fabric and thread. I cherish the laughter shared with family, the adventures of new destinations, and the joy of whipping up delicious meals – all reminders that a life beautifully woven is a life richly lived.

Have you faced any barriers in your career due to being a woman? If so, how did you overcome them?

While our journey has been relatively smooth however being a woman and navigating a male-dominated industry presented a few hurdles, like initial resistance from male artisans to our guidance. We countered this with understanding, fostering a collaborative environment built on mutual respect and teamwork. By turning potential divides into bridges, we built a team that feels like family, proving that compassion and resilience can transform challenges into triumphs. This journey continues to teach us how to break down barriers and turn adversaries into allies, all while strengthening the spirit of Label Hiari.

Tell us about your venture- Label Hiari. How did you first begin and how long did it take you to find success?

Label Hiari began as a passion project 12 years ago, where I designed for individual clients from my home studio. The spark grew, leading to a workshop and online sales. Five years ago, we opened our first store in Surat, marking a turning point in our journey. Since then, we've experienced continuous growth and now reach clients worldwide with our unique handcrafted designer wear. With an upcoming store in Toronto and a dedication to quality and personalized service, Label Hiari is more than a label; it's a testament to fulfilling fashion dreams.

Believe in your passion, learn from every experience, and trust your instincts. Surround yourself with a supportive network and never forget the value you bring. Authenticity and determination, fueled by passion, are the keys to unlocking your true potential.

As a woman, did you have to make any sacrifices professionally and personally at any stage in your career?

As a woman, balancing career and family inevitably requires sacrifices. Sometimes career demands put family time on hold, while other times family commitments might require professional adjustments. Striking a balance takes conscious effort, evolving strategies, and the ability to prioritize, delegate, and set boundaries. Ultimately, success goes beyond professional achievements and encompasses personal fulfillment and connection with loved ones. It's a continuous learning journey for many women, one that can be navigated with resilience and support.

Tell us something about your proudest accomplishment.

Our proudest accomplishment at Label Hiari is undoubtedly opening our first store. It marks a significant transition, from a humble home project to a thriving brand with a well-designed physical and online presence. This milestone embodies years of dedication, shared vision, and the culmination of our journey from a small initiative to a recognized name in the fashion industry. The store represents the essence of Label Hiari - craftsmanship, unique designs, and the incredible support received from our clientele. It's a testament to the passion and commitment that fueled our success and continues to propel us forward.

How do you blend life and work to create the life you want?

Balancing work and life requires prioritizing and accepting some sacrifices. It's not always "having it all," but finding what works for you. For me, quality time with family is non-negotiable. We carve out special moments together, like family outings, shared lunches, or even blending work and family by them visiting the office or me joining their activities. It's about cherishing moments and building memories beyond work. We strive to create a life that reflects our love and connection as a family, alongside our dedication to Label Hiari. It's a balancing act, but the memories become the true reward.

Holi is a popular Hindu festival celebrated primarily in India and Nepal, but it is also observed in other parts of South Asia and by the Indian diaspora around the world. It is known as the "Festival of Colors" or the "Festival of Love".

The festival marks the arrival of spring, and the end of winter, and is also a celebration of the triumph of good over evil. There are several mythological stories associated with the celebration of Holi, the most popular being the story of Prahlad and Holika from Hindu mythology.

o Holika Dahan: The festival usually begins with the ritual of Holika Dahan, also known as Chhoti Holi, on the night before the main day of Holi. Bonfires are lit in public spaces and communities, symbolising the burning of evil spirits and the triumph of good over evil People gather around the fire, sing and dance, and perform rituals to ward off negativity

o Water Balloon Fights: In addition to colored powders, water guns and water balloons are also popular during Holi celebrations People roam the streets armed with water-filled balloons and spray guns, engaging in friendly water fights and drenching each other in water. The water element adds an extra layer of fun and refreshment to the festivities, especially during the warm spring weather.

o Playing with Colours: The main day of Holi is known as Rangwali Holi, during which people engage in the playful throwing and smearing of coloured powders and water on each other Participants chase each other around, laughing and dousing one another with colours, regardless of age, gender, or social status. This colourful revelry symbolises the breaking down of social barriers and the celebration of unity and joy.

o Feasting: Like most festivals in India, Holi is also a time for indulging in delicious food and sweets Traditional Holi delicacies such as gujiya (sweet dumplings), thandai (a refreshing milkbased drink infused with spices), puran poli (sweet stuffed flatbread), and various savoury snacks are prepared and shared among family and friends

Fostering Hope: Pet NGOs in Hyderabad Making a Difference

Stray dogs and cats are a common sight in many urban and rural areas around the world, including Hyderabad. These animals often find themselves without a home due to various reasons such as abandonment by owners, overpopulation, or being born on the streets. While some may fend for themselves, scavenging for food and seeking shelter wherever they can, many face numerous challenges and hardships.

EXCLUSIVEI 74 FEB,2024 TULIP

Challenges Faced by Stray Dogs and Cats:

1. Health Risks: Stray animals are susceptible to various health risks, including diseases, injuries, and malnutrition. Without proper veterinary care and nutrition, they are more prone to illnesses such as mange, rabies, and infections.

2. Overpopulation: Uncontrolled breeding among stray dogs and cats leads to overpopulation, exacerbating issues such as competition for resources, spread of diseases, and strain on local ecosystems.

3. Human Conflict: Stray animals often face mistreatment, abuse, and violence from humans, either out of fear, ignorance, or deliberate cruelty. This can include poisoning, kicking, or even intentional vehicular harm

4. Environmental Impact: Stray animals can have detrimental effects on the environment, including damage to ecosystems, predation on wildlife, and the spread of diseases to other animals and humans

EXCLUSIVEI FEB,2024 75 TULIP

Efforts to Address the Issue:

1 Animal Welfare NGOs: Organizations dedicated to animal welfare, such as Blue Cross of Hyderabad and People for Animals (PFA) Hyderabad, actively work to rescue, rehabilitate, and rehome stray dogs and cats. They provide veterinary care, conduct sterilisation drives, and promote adoption to reduce the stray population and improve the lives of these animals.

3. Community Education and Awareness: Educating communities about responsible pet ownership, the importance of spaying and neutering pets, and treating stray animals with compassion is crucial in addressing the issue. Awareness campaigns, school programs, and community outreach efforts help foster a culture of empathy towards stray animals and promote coexistence

2 Sterilisation and Vaccination Programs: Government agencies and NGOs often implement sterilisation and vaccination programs to control the stray population and prevent the spread of diseases like rabies. These programs aim to humanely manage the population while also ensuring the health and safety of both animals and humans.

4 Legislation and Law Enforcement: Implementing and enforcing laws related to animal welfare, including anti-cruelty laws and regulations on pet ownership and breeding, can help protect stray animals from harm and hold perpetrators accountable for their actions

Stray dogs and cats in Hyderabad, like in many other cities, face numerous challenges, but concerted efforts from NGOs, government agencies, communities, and individuals can make a significant difference in improving their welfare By promoting responsible pet ownership, supporting sterilisation and vaccination programs, and advocating for animal rights, we can create a more compassionate and humane environment for both stray animals and humans to coexist harmoniously.

Adopting a pet is a significant decision, and there are various methods through which individuals or families can find and bring a new furry companion into their lives. Here are some different adoption methods:

1. Shelters and Rescue Organisations:

Animal shelters and rescue organisations are dedicated to finding homes for abandoned, stray, or surrendered animals. These organisations often house a variety of pets, including dogs, cats, rabbits, and sometimes even birds or reptiles

Prospective adopters can visit shelters or browse their websites to view available animals. Adoption counsellors are usually available to assist in finding a suitable match based on lifestyle, preferences, and compatibility

Adoption fees typically cover vaccinations, spaying or neutering, and sometimes microchipping or other medical treatments. Adopting from a shelter or rescue organisation helps save a life and supports their ongoing efforts to care for animals in need

2. Pet Adoption Events:

Many shelters and rescue groups host adoption events at various locations such as pet stores, community centers, or parks These events provide an opportunity for people to meet and interact with animals available for adoption in a more casual setting.

Adoption events may feature special promotions or discounts to encourage adoptions They also offer a chance for potential adopters to speak with volunteers or staff members about the adoption process and learn more about individual animals.

3. Online Adoption Platforms

There are numerous websites and apps dedicated to pet adoption, where shelters, rescue organisations, and individual owners can post profiles and photos of animals available for adoption. These platforms allow potential adopters to search for pets based on criteria such as species, breed, age, size, and location. They often include detailed descriptions and information about each animal's personality, behaviour, and needs.

Adopters can communicate with shelters or owners through the platform to inquire about specific pets, arrange meet-and-greets, and complete the adoption process.

4. Breed-Specific Rescues

Breed-specific rescue groups focus on rescuing and rehoming a particular breed or type of animal. These organisations are often run by passionate volunteers who are knowledgeable about the breed and dedicated to finding suitable homes for their rescued animals

Adopting from a breed-specific rescue allows people to adopt a pet with specific characteristics or traits they desire while also supporting the rescue's mission to save and rehabilitate animals of that breed

EXCLUSIVEI FEB,2024 77 TULIP

5. Foster-to-Adopt Programs:

Some shelters and rescue organisations offer foster-to-adopt programs, where individuals or families can temporarily foster a pet before committing to adoption. Foster-to-adopt programs allow potential adopters to experience what it's like to live with a pet and assess compatibility before making a permanent commitment If the foster experience is successful, the foster family can choose to adopt the pet.

Regardless of the adoption method chosen, adopting a pet is a rewarding experience that not only brings joy and companionship into your life but also saves a life and supports animal welfare efforts in your community.

Hyderabad, known for its rich cultural heritage and bustling city life, is also home to several nongovernmental organizations (NGOs) dedicated to the welfare of our furry companions. These organizations work tirelessly to provide shelter, medical care, and love to abandoned, injured, and homeless animals.

Here are some notable pet NGOs in Hyderabad

BLUE CROSS OF HYDERABAD

They rescue and rehabilitate stray and injured animals, provide medical care, conduct adoption drives, and run educational programs on animal welfare. Their commitment to creating a compassionate society reflects in their various initiatives aimed at improving the lives of animals across the city.

EXCLUSIVEI 78 FEB,2024 TULIP

Noble Cause Foundation focuses on rescuing and providing medical care to injured and abandoned animals, with a special emphasis on street dogs and cats. They operate a shelter where animals receive treatment and care until they are ready for adoption Additionally, the foundation conducts vaccination drives and educates communities on the humane treatment of animals.

SOCIETY FOR THE PREVENTION OF CRUELTY TO ANIMALS (SPCA) HYDERABAD

SPCA Hyderabad is committed to preventing cruelty towards animals and ensuring their welfare through rescue operations, veterinary care, and advocacy They work closely with law enforcement agencies to address cases of animal abuse and neglect while also promoting compassion and empathy towards animals through educational programs and outreach efforts These pet NGOs in Hyderabad play a vital role in safeguarding the well-being of animals and promoting a culture of compassion and responsibility towards our furry friends. Whether through rescue operations, medical care, adoption programs, or advocacy work, these organisations are making a significant impact on the lives of countless animals and fostering a more humane society.

My partner and I, are proud to share our home with ten indie cattos little did we know, our furry family would teach us some of the most profound lessons about love and compassion. We quickly discovered that rescuing, adopting, and rehoming stray cats and kittens wasn't just about providing shelter; it was about giving them hope and a life filled with unconditional love What started as a simple act of kindness blossomed into a way of life for us It is because we have witnessed, firsthand, how difficult it is for these creatures to survive on the streets, especially the orphaned, abandoned and injured ones. Every day that they manage to survive amidst the chaos of the streets is nothing short of a miracle That is precisely why we're so passionate about giving them a chance at a better life.

PEOPLE’S VOICE

We have also witnessed miracles of a different kind – the transformative power of love. Seeing the transformation that occurs when a feral or an indie cat is welcomed into a loving and patient environment is truly remarkable. The bond that we share with our feline babies is something we cherish deeply a testament to the extraordinary connection between humans and cats that is possible.

For beyond the act of saving lives lies a simple truth that we vouch for– in welcoming a stray cat into our lives, we also welcome tiny bundles of joy and unconditional love. These cats have so much love and affection to give, and by opening our hearts and homes to them, we not only change their lives but also enrich our own in ways we never thought possible.

Milky has been a part of our family ever since we moved to the area. She’s loved by everyone around and is taken care of It’s amazing how loyal these furry ones can be she’s always making sure we are safe and loves her treats. Unfortunately, street dogs are not always treated well, but if you give them the respect and love they deserve, they’ll give everything they have to make you feel loved and safe. We are very grateful for her presence and always make sure to keep her away from harm’s way. She’s a precious little one who has created a special place in all our hearts.
