Yellow Studio Works, of Hyderabad has done their bit by voicing their thoughts in a form of video, “I am a woman” which is going viral and helping people to come forward and voice their opinion. They say ‘there are many women who’ve been affected psychologically from the Delhi incident and many of them have been vociferous so far. There is a lot of angst and disappointment that is evident in the video as we merely tried to put together pieces of all the questions and feelings running through their minds.’ For them video and social media is a great medium that can ignite thoughts and emotions. ‘Akhri Bus’ a Play
Xpressionz theatre society of Indian Business School, held a play called ‘Aakhri bus’ which moved on the lines of an old school comedy, with situational comedy and gags mixed with crisp one-liners. The story revolved around 2 boys who missed their bus while following a girl to her house and were stranded in an undeveloped suburb with no way to return, their decision to ask the families to let them spend the night in their house and then finally how they con the family into believing that one of the boys is their fathers illegitimate son just to be able to spend the night and eventually for the ‘ son ‘ to fall in love with his ‘sister‘. The audience turned out as it always does for an Xpressionz play in a huge number, putting the auditorium capacity in threat. They received wonderful reaction from the audience, who thoroughly enjoyed it and appreciated the cast for their performance who superbly executed the role of their characters in the play.

Junior Jaycee Wing of JCI Hyderabad, organized a self defense workshop to educate and spread awareness among women. They called upon a kick boxing expert Mr. Suresh Patil who taught them basic techniques girls can use in situation of any attack and also how they can protect themselves and escape the place without getting hurt. That was not all, they even called Advocate Arun Jaiswal, who educated them their rights and how far the attack can go to protect ourselves. It was a very brief and informative workshop, a lot of these workshops can be helpful for the girls in the city. What Would You Need To Get The Sexy Smokey Eyes
* Eye Shadows - A light shimmer shadow is much easier to work with, as it will blend more subtly into the skin. Mattes look great, but require a little more skill. See that you have minimum of 3 shades from the same family of the colour you choose. For a perfect smoky eye, it is better to apply dark colours like black, browns, blue etc. * Eye Lash Curler - Using of eye lash curler before starting the make-up, will help your eyes open up and look more attentive. * Eye Liner - Eye liners can be liquid or pencil, either you prefer, but the pencil tends to do a better job in case of smoky eyes. * Smooth Shadow Brush, Smudge Brush and a Blender Brush These brushes are the right tools to get the sexy Smokey look. * Mascara - Preferably black mascara, but you can select the one you prefer. • Apply the grey/taupe colour on your eyelid but not past the crease. Build up the colour with a flat shadow brush. Using tapping (instead of sweeping) motions with your brush, this will reduce fallout from the shadow.

Simple Steps to Get Perfect Smokey Eyes • Firstly, always start out by applying an eye shadow base / eye primer to the eye. This prevents the shadows from creasing and increases their longevity. • Chose the colour closest to your natural skin tone and apply it as a base on your eyelid up to your brow bone with a fluffy blending brush. • Apply a dark charcoal or matte black colour, closest to the lash line & to the outer corners of your eyes with an angled eye shadow brush. You want to create a sideways V-shape with the dark colour in order to contour your eyes and give them some added definition. • Use a fluffy brush to blend out the edges of the eye shadow. • Lastly, apply your favourite pencil or liquid liner on your top lash line. • Finish off by applying two thick coats of black mascara to your bottom and top and lashes.

Awaiting Justice!!
The Delhi victim case has set off an ardent debate about what the nation needs to do to prevent such a tragedy from happening again. The barbaric incident has forced the country to wake up from its slumber and strive for a change, the nation wants an end to the discrimination, justified by the society that we live in, and also an end to the commodification of women.
This is the best time to take a mass resolution that we should fight to end discrimination against women, change the mindset and uphold equality and dignity of women. It is indeed a shame that such an incident had to take place for all of us to react and fight for justice, it is surely a challenge, tougher than ever but we need to take it up. Segregation against women as well as Eve teasing and rape are some issues threatening women in India. There are people who believe that though Indian law provides protection to women, certain local law enforcement personnel are reportedly negligent, downplay complaints and blame the victims for their clothing or imagination, and pressure victims of rapes, which can discourage registration of legal complaints. Cases of harassment and rape by police are cited. In cases of some registered legal complaints, lack of follow-up by suitable inquiries resulted in “do not prosecute�, which can further discourage rape reports by victims. This social context has been denounced as a cause for the widespread protests in India, with requests for police, societal, and legal reforms. 26 FEBRUARY, NOVEMBER,2013 2012
Awareness: The first, and probably most important, component in selfdefense is awareness. Awareness of yourself, and your surroundings. Studies have shown that criminals are adept at choosing targets who appear to be unaware of what is going on around them.

Pepper spray: Pepper spray, like other self-defense aids, can be a useful tool. However, it is important to understand that there can be significant drawbacks to its use. For example, it doesn’t work on everyone. Never depend on any self-defense tool or weapon to stop an attacker. Trust your body and your wits, which you can always depend on, in the event of an attack. Carry something sharp and handy.
Set your boundaries with your body language: Usually men who are looking for an opportunity for an apparently ‘careless’ brush or uninvited physical contact, will test your boundaries first, for eg. Sitting too close, or touching your hand. Indian women often get frightened and flustered and are unable to speak up. Remember IF YOU ARE UNCOMFORTABLE, IT IS NOT OK. Escape: Always your best option. What if the unthinkable happens? You are suddenly confronted by a predator who demands that you go with him, be it in a car, or in a lane, or a building. You are far more likely to be killed or seriously injured if you go with the predator than if you run away (even if he promises not to hurt you). Run away, yell for help, and throw a rock through a store or car window, do whatever you can to attract attention. And if the person is after your purse or other material items, throw them one way while you run the other. . Report Stalking: If you feel that someone is following you, immediately

Traveling safety: When using a car, lock all doors and keep windows up while driving. Most carattacks take place when vehicles are stopped at intersections. Always check the back seat before entering the car and lock immediately after entering. Do not use your cell phone, as it is the root cause to divert your attention and giving chance to the attacker. As much as possible avoid late night travel using public transport, If avoiding is not possible then be sure to travel only on crowded bus. While using 2 wheeler be sure to wear helmet at all times, especially at night. Don’t stop for any stranger, in case attacked, use your helmet to defend yourself. Home safety: Never, ever open your door unless you are certain you know who is on the other side. Don’t be shy or feel embarrassed to ask people to come back later if there is no one at home, and close the door at once. Don’t make the visitor aware of the fact that you are alone. When answering the door don’t be caught up with your phone.
Opinions on Women’s safety Even after awareness and influence by media, justice is always denied and prolonged, instead becoming a political issue in crimes alike Rape, stalking, eve teasing, and all the problem faced by women in India, now and then. I think just updating status and putting situational display pics is not enough. Right to freedom is not justified until a woman feels secure to wear what she want and travel at any time without being scared or attacked. It’s on us to bring a change. It is very important to act out now before something else happens or someone else suffers. It could be anyone. Society plays a big part in influencing the mind set of people. Television and movie makers should also become careful about what they are portraying because it is one of the fastest medium of conveying a message to public. The way women are portrayed in a lot of movies are clearly objectionable. Once the men in India are taught the right things from their childhood, things will be much better. Simple things like keep girls on one side and boys on one side in school affects them and draw a line of difference between them. The sole reason why countries in the west are much safer for women is because the men there are used to having women around them and not kept under the cover or on different side. I think what happened is outrageous and women are no longer safe, especially in Delhi. Even though she was accompanied by a male friend, this happened. I really hope strict laws are made so that culprits and abusers are scared to even think of doing something so hideous. Since the government is not taking any serious safety steps, it is important women take few precautionary steps themselves. Products like Taser’s, pepper spray, provide enough security and should be made available everywhere. Issues like foeticide, child marriage, dowry and honour killings will take time to change. But issues underlying public anger in this most recent case go far beyond a single assault. I have my lunch around 2:30, since my office and home are joint, I can have my meals at home and get back to work without any hassle. I balance my home and work so I don’t compromise on anything 30 FEBRUARY, 2013
I wake up around 7:30, I am a fitness freak, so I get ready and go to gym and have a nice workout for about an hour. It keeps me fit and also boosts up my energy level for the whole day. For many it’s tiring, but for me it’s very refreshing and I enjoy my workouts. 9 o’clock I am back home and do my breakfast. I get ready for work. And since my office is on the ground floor of my house, it’s not much of a rush and hurry. I take my time, organize things at home, plan my day and head to office, where I have meetings, paperwork and other stuff to look after. I enjoy my work, it keeps me busy, and it feels good to know that I can help my husband in some way or the other. We are both in it fulltime and are going with full power.

It’s hard to believe but we have an amazing bonding since the day we met, he even left his Dj’ing career and stepped into more serious one for me. I think I am really proud for all he is achieved today and will always be by his side. I love travelling, my husband and I, share a lot of likes but travelling is the best one of all. We have travelled a lot and love exploring new places, Dubai is my all time favorite. We have just come back from Bali and it was amazing, the place the weather it was an amazing experience and I will cherish it forever.

They say ‘It is the most peaceful and cozy room of the house and we spend our maximum time in this room. We wait each day to get back here and spend our quality and special time here. The black and white backdrop itself is so soothing.
The house has another more intimate and private living room for the family members, which has a cozy, beige L-shaped sofa. ‘At 3pm in the night Abhishek makes me Maggi and cup noodles and gets a candle along with him here and says this is our candle light, mid night Maggi and makes me laugh’ says Depenthi making the room very special for the couple.

here are so many moments that it is difficult for me to choose one. t was on 6th of July 2012 at 12 pm, when me and my 4 year old son, wished my wife Happy Birthday with a cake, greeting card and a gift. Who RULES the
Relationship?
A guy and a girl meet fall in love and live happily ever after. Well, this happens only in fairytales because in reality after meeting and falling in love comes the time of reigning. Both guy and girl can’t live happily ever after, this privilege comes to any one of the two, the one who rules the relationship. If the guy rules the relationship, he makes the girl obey all his commands, be it cooking for him or waking him up daily, from handling his clothes to helping him in his work, he keeps the woman on her toes and she, who thinks it’s all out of love, continues to let him rule over her. On the other hand, when “she “holds the thread to the relationship, she makes sure he is the most obedient pup she ever had. The woman makes sure he does everything, from taking care of their kids to helping her in the chores and not to forget those endless shopping trips where all he does is hold her bags and help her choose out of the two outfits that she ultimately does not buy. A relationship sails smoothly only when one of the two takes command and the other person plays the support system. And otherwise, as they say, ladies first, so ladies always get the first rights in the relationship.

For some, it is about ingredients, for others, it’s about memories. Still, everyone can agree that the romance is all about the setting and what setting can be more romantic than breakfast in bed? Of course, not any breakfast will do. You can’t serve some bread and a half glass of juice and expect the sparks to fly. Romantic breakfast in bed is the time to bring out the big guns and make something special. We got two easy recipes for you to make it more easy and special.
Stuffed French Toast
This dish is going to play on the natural association of romance and chocolate.
Valentine Cupcake
Ingredients: • Strawberry Ice Cream • Milk • Red Food Coloring • Strawberry Jam or frozen Strawberries
Ingredients: • 1 cup Nutella (divided) • 8 slices bread • 2 eggs • 1 cup heavy cream • 1 stick butter, melted • Oil • Powdered sugar Directions: 1. Take half of the cup of Nutella and put in the microwave for 30 seconds, this will make it easier to spread. 2. Spread the Nutella on half of the slices of bread, top the Nutella with the other slice of bread, press down so the bread sticks together. 3. Beat the eggs, cream, and melted butter, until the eggs are scrambled, dip both sides of the bread into the egg mixture, being sure that all of the bread is covered. 4. Spread little oil in a pan and set it to medium-high heat, when the pan is hot, cook the bread for 2 minutes, then flip and cook another 2 minutes, repeat until the egg mixture is completely cooked all the way through. 5. Top with powdered sugar and a dollop of Nutella.

Ingredients: All purpose flour(Maida) - 2 1/4 cup Butter - 1/2 cup Sugar - 1 cup Eggs - 2 Baking powder - 2 tsp Vanilla essence – 1 1/2 tsp Milk - 1 cup For Icing: Butter cream icing - 3 cups Peach icing color - As required Directions: 1. Preheat oven to 350 0 F and line the tray with paper cups. 2. In a big bowl, combine flour, baking powder and salt. 3. Beat butter with sugar until light and fluffy. 4. Add eggs at a time and beat well. 5. Add flour a little at a time along with milk and beat till mixed. 6. Add vanilla essence and mix. 7. Fill the paper cups till 3/4th and bake in the middle shelf for 20 minutes. 8. Cool the biscuits on a wire tray. 9. Add icing color to the butter cream and pipe a fancy swirl around the cake. 10. Place sugar flowers on top of icing.
Directions: • Place a big scoop of ice cream and a cup of milk in a blender. • Combine one drop of red food coloring to give more color. • Combine some strawberry jam or frozen strawberries for more flavors. • Blend it all till the shake is creamy and thick. • Serve it in glass with some straws.

With luxury car makers like Mercedes-Benz, BMW & Audi coming out with new entry level cars, what better year could this be for you to enter the luxury segment. Let us take you through, the three new cars.
Mercedes-Benz A-Class
With expectations built around it the Mercedes-Benz A-Class is priced lowest. Well that is what, it is expected to be. The A-Class is if we believe the rumors will be priced as low as 15 lakh. Yes you are reading it right. Mercedes-Benz has been in India for 17 years. It has come, it has seen and it has conquered. There were initial hiccups and the company did take a bit of a hammering early on, but soon shiny new leather-lined limos with a star on the bonnet were rolling out of the plant in Pune, into the arms of delighted customers. And Mercedes, even back then, was pretty bullish about the Indian market, launching cars long before there was even a semblance of a market for them. It got the E-class here in ’95, the S-class in 2000, the C-class in 2001 and the M-class in 2002. Mercedes, however, stopped at the A-class. The square-set chin gives the nose plenty of definition and the long, attractive bonnet and low-slung compact cabin make it real sporty as well. One thing’s for sure, this is no family wagon. Also beautifully executed is the tautly drawn skin, and you can’t help but admire the interplay between the convex and concave surfaces of the flanks. The A 200 CDI in the pictures is wearing an AMG kit, and that makes it look even more aggressive. Even the rear has been thoroughly worked on – a ducted rear bumper and rear splitter together make it look fantastic. I know, expecting this car to have the build of an E-class is asking for too much, but I’m still mildly disappointed. There’s no doubt this car feels robustly screwed together and easily as tough as an Audi. It’s just that with the star on the nose, you expect it to be unnecessarily over-engineered as well. Quality, fit and finish on the inside, however, are well up to Merc standards. The insides are as well put together as a C-class, there are plenty of metallic highlights to liven up the cabin and there’s enough kit available to make this feel like a true luxury car. The design of the cabin is just as radical as the exterior, the emphasis clearly on sportiness again. The theme of the cabin is dictated by the electroplated and chromed circular air vents, the entire dash is covered with a carbon-fiber weave and it’s pretty clear Mercedes is targeting a much young buyers with this car. While there’s plenty of new stuff in the cabin, the new A has its share of Merc standard kit too. The door pads are heavily padded in time-honored Mercedes fashion, the AMG steering wheel can be seen on a number of sporty Mercs and the audio system is from the Mercedes parts bin as well. The A-class feels rock solid even at speeds above 200kph, its willingness to turn hard into corners and remain composed at the same time is baffling, and the high-precision steering makes placing the car exactly where you want it pretty intuitive. Of course, a lot of this dynamism is down to the optional sport suspension on this car, which makes the ride quite thumpy and hard, ruling it out as a setup for the Indian market. 58 FEBRUARY, 2013
BMW 1 Series
The first Hatchback model from the luxury car maker will be out in the second half of the year. BMW hopes the ‘1’ will carve out a new niche for itself here as a powerful, premium, rear wheel drive hatchback. The car will be locally produced at the BMW plant in Chennai, so expect prices to be in the range of around Rs 1820 lakh. The design is good, if not classically attractive, the shark-nose treatment with the forward-leaning kidney grille, the clamshell bonnet and the large recessed headlights, give it a premium look, and you can’t mistake it for anything but a BMW. The surface treatment along the sides isn’t as conflicting as the previous 1-series, and, as a result, is easier on the eye. The tail-lamps doesn’t look like the regular whale tail like the other beamers. It’s not as small as it looks in the photographs though. At 4.2 meters long and with a wheelbase that has been stretched by 30mm over the last 1-series, this car’s dimensions are more mid-size saloon than small hatch. This points to a roomy, comfortable cabin. Expect cabin quality to be closer to the X3 and 3-series as well. Helping distance, the 1-series from ‘junta’ hatchbacks is BMW’s rear-wheel-drive layout. Internationally, BMW sells the 1-series with 1.6-litre and 2.0-litre petrol and diesel engines, and even a turbocharged 3.0-litre, six-cylinder petrol in the 135i, but Indian cars might share engines with the X1 in the interest of costs. This means a 2.0-litre, 181bhp diesel and a 150bhp, 2.0-litre petrol, with the distant possibility of a hot, 168bhp, direct-injection petrol option. The 1-series could strike well with the youth and also for someone who already owns a BMW and wants a smaller luxury car to travel across the Hyderabad traffic. Quality and built is what you can be sure of as BMW has always have given us a high quality cars. And with such a pricing it will surely make you vouch for it.

Audi A1
Audi is one luxury brand that we can call the loudest of them all. Well Audi for me is Salman Khan of Bollywood, with so much hype and expectation built around it and in the end living up-to it. The luxury car manufacturer Audi claims that Audi A1 would be much sportier and luxurious in the class. Initially, Audi is reported to launch the compact car in four variants, that is 1.2L TFSI, 1.4L TFSI, 2.0 TDI and 1.6L TDI engine. The first two are petrol and last two are diesel engine. All the power-plants are smaller, turbocharged and has direct fuel injection system. The exterior of Audi A1 is very much aggressive and borrowed many things from its earlier concept models. The nose of the car is flat and houses broad grille compartment. It dominates the front design with larger fog lamps. Curves and slopes are left bold and beautiful. Its outside rear view mirrors are in body color. The alloy wheels of the car might be of 16 or 17 inch. The rear side view of Audi A1 looks stunning and attractive. The rear windshield comes in the proportion of the front hence rear side view will be clear for the driver. Twin exhaust pipes located at the same side will woo the viewers behind the car. In the same way, the interior of the Audi A1 is supposed to be the finest in terms of the design. The cabin is expected to be spacious and luxurious. It is likely to be blessed with air-conditioner, latest audio system and ESP stability system. The one setback is the interior, well when we go by the last launched car from Audi that is the Audi Q3 the interior is one thing that doesn’t seem to compliment its luxury quotient. With Mercs and BMW giving their customers the luxury feel from their smaller cars Audi has been stronger with its exteriors. The meters are placed at the dashboard in large round dials. Audi A1 will be illuminated by LED interior lighting package. One can also opt for different interior and exterior style that include some of the materials, equipment and palate of shades. You will also be provided with various color schemes for the roof contrast line spreading from A to B and C pillars. The price of this would be around 20-25 lakh bracket when its launched and with the flashy colors it is expected to make a lot of noise.

Remember you are reading it first here. Yes the God phone is around the corner, the Samsung Galaxy S4. With so much hype around it already, we give you a sneak peak into it along with its release date and a glimpse of its specifications. Samsung’s Galaxy S line of flagships traditionally launches in Q2 - the original launched in June, the sequel in April and the Galaxy S III in May. What about the S IV? A post on Samsung Lebanon’s Facebook account points to May for the Samsung Galaxy S IV launch date. While we know better than to take anything coming from a Facebook page for granted, we wouldn’t be the least bit surprised if the Galaxy S IV has a May launch (it’s when the S III launched after all). Earlier, Reuters reported that the S IV will be launching in April, which doesn’t seems slightly less likely, given the enormous popularity the Galaxy S III and Note II are still enjoying. That’s for the launch date, when the new phone might be announced is a completely different matter. The first two of the line were announced a few months before launch, while the Galaxy S III was announced and launched in May. We expect the forth Galaxy S flagship to follow the footsteps of its predecessor, though, and only go official a couple of weeks before it hits the shelves. Now if everyone could please stop with the CES/ MWC announcement rumors, it’s simply not happening. What we might see at CES though, is tech that will go into the Galaxy S IV like the rumored 5” screen,1080p Super AMOLED or a Cortex-A15 based chipset, which are also going around the rumor mill. If the rumors are to be believed then this one will also feature an unbreakable screen, but with all you guys expecting the laser keyboard feature then no, this particular feature will not be a part of S4. The release date is rumored to be in may, so till then enjoy on your windows 8 lumia 920 or the ios powerhouse iphone 5 if bored with the android on your notes and S3.

It has released with a buzz? Well, not much when you have better machines to give this one a stiff competition. All new iMac is supposed to be new in every way, at least the company says so. But we give this one a big thumbs down. Of late Apple hasn’t been up-to the expectations of people. Be it the new Ipad mini or be it the much hyped iphone 5 or the retina display mac book pro, the innovation leap seems to be fading off with apple. This technology giant isn’t doing their R&D with perfection maybe that is why its competitor is giving it a big competition. With ultra book convertible and touchpad screens out in the market the new iMac though a very powerful price does not compliment its price tag at all. Screen: Do you go for the big iMac or the really big iMac, that’s the question? The choice is yours. The difference? The 21.5-inch has a 1920 x 1080 pixel resolution, LEDbacked, IPS technology. The 27-inch offers a 2560 x 1440 pixel resolution. Processor: The new iMac comes with quad-core Intel Core i5 CPUs, which can be spec’d up to a 3.4GHz Intel Core i7 depending on the size of your wallet. Memory: Each iMac comes with at least 8GB of memory, but again you can bump it up to 16GB on the 21.5-inch and up to a total of 32GB for the 27-inch if you’re willing to pay extra. Storage: Installed with Fusion Drive (Apple speak for the hybrid storage options seen in Acer and HP devices) you have an option of the standard 1TB with the 21.5inch -flash storage upgrade for your OS and all apps available - or get 3TB with the 27-inch iMac. Connectivity: The iMac comes with four USB 3.0 ports and two Thunderbolts sockets, an SDXC card, Mini Display Port (which supports DVI and VGA) and one Ethernet connection. Oh yeah, there is also Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 4.0. Graphics: The 21.5-inch comes with GeForce GT cards with 512 MB memory, while the 27-inch can be configured to house a 2GB GeForce GTX 680MX. Webcam: Not wanting to be any less flashy than its Apple siblings, the iMacs come with the Face Time HD camera, top front and centre. Sound: The iMac offers stereo speakers and dual microphones. Green credentials - power saving : For our environmentally minded readers, the new iMac is said to use 50% less power when in idle mode. To summarize, if you already own an iMac then buying this one would not make much of a sense. Gaga has set up the Born Brave Bus to offer counseling sessions to help fans deal with personal issues such as depression, bullying and problems at school, and the singer insists the scheme was a huge success in Tacoma. She wants to be there for people, help them in whatever way she can. Her popularity and success helps her to reach people more easily and efficiently. She has been in news for a lot of things but always makes up for it and ends in a positive note. You would think Kris Humphries is a baseball player by the way he’s playing hardball with Kim Kardashian! According to a report in US Weekly, Kris, 27, refuses to divorce Kim, 32, and deliberately postpones court meetings in an effort to stall the entire case. “Kris friends say he laughs about pushing back depositions because that stalls the whole case,” a source connected to Kim tells the publication. In fact, Kris tactics went further than Kim when he brings Kanye West into the picture, demanding he be deposed in an effort to reveal information about his new relationship with Kim. “Kanye did the deposition for Kim and was proud to do so,” another source who’s connected to the 18-time Grammy winner tells U.S. “Kanye is [still] very frustrated.” Source added.

HASEE TOH PHASEE Just a little while ago, Karan Johar had announced about his newest association with Anurag Kashyap. The duo is coming together to produce an untitled film starring fresh pair, Parineeti Chopra (LADIES V/S RICKEY BAHL & ISHAQZAADE fame) & Sidharth Malhotra (STUDENT OF THE YEAR fame). However, without further ado, now the filmmaker has revealed the title of the film on the micro-blogging site. The film is titled as HASEE TOH PHASEE . Karan Johar wrote, “The title of the Dharma-Phantom film with Sidharth and @ParineetiChopra is Hasee toh Phasee!!!....#haseetohphasee” Co-produced by Dharma Productions and Phantom Films, the said film is directed by the debutant director Vinil Matthew.
For Milind Soman in `David` Bejoy Nambiar`s forthcoming film ‘David’ will see model-actor Milind Soman playing a devout Muslim. But there`s something unusual about his role - he doesn`t have a single dialogue. “Milind will only be seen praying throughout the film. His character in the film requires him to do so,” said a source. “David” was simultaneously shot in Hindi and Telugu. It also features actors Neil Nitin Mukesh, Vinay Virmani, Monica Dogra, Isha Sharvani and southern star Vikram. A gangster-comedy, ‘David’ was shot in Mangalore and Mumbai among other locations. TOLLYWOOD SANKRANTI SPECIAL: Ticket prices hiked The State Government has given clearance to the hike of ticket prices, favoring the theatre owners and the big budget filmmakers. As per the new rules, a Rs 10 ticket would be hiked to Rs 25 and Rs 55 ticket will now cost Rs 55. Government is planning to announce this decision soon So, the latest releases like Nayak, SVSC may not get much benefit from this new GO. The impact of this hike will be clearly visible during summer as some of the big star would test their luck at that time. Although Telugu Film Producers Council (TFPC) opposed the hike of ticket fare, Government took the decision in the best interest of exhibitors. Few film personalities were accusing the Government of double standards and highlighting the fact that the lobbying done by some big fishes in the Industry have worked in their favor.
“I HAD NO IDEA ABOUT THE KISS IN KADALI,” Gautham confesses Gautham Karthik and Thulasi Nair will soon be seen in Mani Ratnam’s upcoming film Kadali. The film’s official trailer was unveiled recently and the visuals got terrific response on social media. While one could see Mani Ratnam’s distinct style all over the trailer, what caught everyone’s eye was a kissing scene between Gautham and Thulasi. Incidentally, it’s their first film, Gautham and Thulasi are 23 and 15 years old respectively. When Gautham was quizzed about the kissing scene, in a recent interview, he said, “I have no idea about the kissing scene. Mani sir never mentioned it to me before the shooting. I did hear rumors about the scene on the sets and it was a big surprise when Mani sir asked us to do it on the sets. He wanted it to be natural.” Apart from these two young stars, Lakshmi Manchu, Arjun and Arvind Swami have played important roles in this film which Mani Ratnam says is its about the fight between good and evil. NO BIKINI for Kajal Aggarwal In an age where Bollywood actresses are shedding their inhibitions and wearing the bikini, Kajal Aggarwal has her reservations. Although Kajal made her Bollywood debut in 2004 with Kyun...! Ho Gaya Na, she was recognized for her role in Singham opposite Ajay Devgan. Kajal will soon be seen in Neeraj Pandey’s Special Chabbis opposite Akshay Kumar. In both Singham and Special Chabbis, Kajal’s look is very Indian. She says, “I have an Indian looking face and I fit such roles easily. But I’m not going to get type cast”. Although she’s willing to experiment and play challenging roles, there are certain nono’s for Kajal. “I’m not willing to wear a bikini on screen because it does not match my sensibilities. Vice-captain of Indian Cricket team Virat Kohli was named the International Cricketer of the Year while Pakistan cricket team bagged the top honors for the best team at the CEAT Cricket Awards 2011-12 in New Delhi. Virat Kohli had defeated Hashim Amla, Kumar Sangakkara and Michael Clarke to bag the prestigious award. Kohli was the top run-getter for India in both Tests and ODIs in 2012 with his career-best 183 which came against Pakistan in the Asia Cup in March 2012 only. Pakistan’s next Saeed Anwar Even before Indian fans could overcome the shock of the home series humiliation against England, another one, this time against arch-rivals Pakistan, has come to haunt them. The latter hurts more, keeping in mind the emotions that are attached whenever India and Pakistan lock horns in a cricket field. While Alastair Cook was the tormentor-in-chief for the Poms, another left-hander, who is in sublime form of late, with a mixture of patience and aggressiveness, has left the Indian team wobbling – Nasir Jamshed. These are early days for Jamshed, who is just 21 ODIs old, but one cannot stop but compare him with another prolific left-hander of Pakistan cricket, Saeed Anwar. All three of Jamshed’s international tons have come against India and that too in consecutive matches. Anwar, who was a terrific left-hander, scored 2002 runs against India, which included 4 centuries in ODIs. In spite of having played less Tests, Anwar scored 289 runs in three matches against India and the only century he scored (188*), remains to be his highest score in Test matches. His 194 in ODIs was the highest score in ODIs for a very long time before it was equaled by Charles Coventry on 16 August 2009, and later broken by Tendulkar who scored the first double century in limited over’s cricket. The 23-year-old has provided a lot of strength to the Pakistan batting line-up and the dependency on the left-hander has reached an extent where his early dismissal in the 3rd ODI could create trouble for Pakistan. But that should be inconsequential as he has done his job, very well, to guide his side to a series’ victory in India after 7 years. From fitness problems to spot-fixing allegations, Jamshed has seen it all. Pakistan hasn’t had a good time of late after they were deprived of hosting international matches for quite some time. MATRU KI BIJLEE KA MANDOLA Despite interesting themes and subplots, MKBKM is a predictable romantic comedy that settles too often for easy jokes. Veteran Indian performers Pankaj Kapur and Shabana Azmi come off better than the leads. Harry Mandola (Kapur), a wealthy landowner with a weakness for alcohol, is a clown when drunk and sour when sober. He hires Matru (Imran Khan), a college-educated community activist, to keep him away from the local Gulabo liquor. Instead, both go on benders, stirring up local farmers against corrupt politicians—and Mandola himself. Mandola plans to marry off his beautiful but spoiled daughter Bijlee (Anushka Sharma) to Baadal (Arya Babbar), the playboy son of politician Chaudhri Devi (Azmi). Unfortunately, the romantic half of MKBKM is much less successful. Baadal is too obvious a fool to pose much of a threat in the story’s triangle. Bijlee throws a couple of minor tantrums, but clearly has her heart set on Matru. Sharma is effective as the high-spirited Bijlee, but Khan doesn’t bring much energy to his part, and in fact seems to disappear from the film for long stretches. Better songs and a stronger romance would have helped draw attention away from the film’s unfocused screenplay. Matru Ki Bijlee Ka Mandola ends up a pleasant diversion that could have been much more. SEETHAMMA VAKITLO SIRIMALLE CHETTU Seethamma Vakitlo Sirimalle Chettu is a complete family entertainer which has high-quality emotional values and all about family relationships. Don’t miss this if you are a family entertaining movie lover. This movie will bring a fresh feel with good message and with multi stars. If you want to enjoy this movie, don’t expect heavy dialogues and mass masala elements, only then you will be able to connect to the naturality of the film. Performances are fantastic and these are greatest asset to the film. Mahesh Babu and Venkatesh look like real brothers and all the scenes involving Venkatesh and Mahesh in the same outline are great. Where Mahesh Babu says Venkatesh to change his attitude for the first time, was brilliantly shot. In fact, Mahesh-Venkatesh’s mobile conversations are humorous. Samantha and Anjali are quite suitable for the lead-ladies role. The first half of the film is good where in it classify all characters. The second half is more effective because the director could really carry heavy emotions out and end the film smoothly.

Special Chabbis is an upcoming Bollywood heist directed by Neeraj Pandey. The film stars Akshay Kumar,Kajal Agarwal in lead roles and include Jimmy Shergill, Manoj Bajpai and Anupam Kher. The film takes its concept from the real life daring heist dated 19-March-1987 where an unknown man posing as CBI officer Mon Singh recruited 26 men posing as income tax officers executing a daylight income tax raid on the Opera House branch of Tribhovandas Bhimji Zaveri in Mumbai, and disappeared with jewellery worth lakhs. The film is scheduled to release on February 8, 2013. ROCK THE SHAADI Rock the Shaadi Rock the Shaadi is an upcoming Bollywood zombie comedy film directed by Navdeep Singh, and starring Abhay Deol and Genelia in the lead roles. The film was initially titled Shaadi of the Dead. Abhay Deol’s girlfriend Preeti Desai has joined the cast of the movie in a cameo role. GOOD DAY TO DIE HARD A Good Day to Die Hard is an upcoming American action film directed by John Moore and written by Skip Woods. It is the fifth installment of the Die Hard film series and stars Bruce Willis reprising the lead role of John McClane, who travels to Russia to help his estranged son (Jai Courtney) out of prison, but is soon caught in the crossfire of a terrorist plot. It is the first Die Hard film using Dolby Atmos Surround Mixing and also released as IMAX. MIRCHI Mirchi is an upcoming Telugu film written and directed by debutant Koratala Siva. The film stars Prabhas, Anushka Shetty and Richa Gangopadhyay in the lead roles and Sathyaraj, Adithya and Nadhiya in pivotal roles. The film started its regular shooting on December 1, 2011 in Hyderabad. The film was tentatively titled Vaaradhi, but was later renamed to Mirchi. The film is scheduled to release on February 8, 2013.
