The Children’s Film Society of India (CFSI) Chairperson Shri Mukesh Khanna said that the making of children’s films is not given a priority in India unlike Western Countries. Mukesh Khanna spoke about the festival at the media interaction session after the inauguration of the Media Centre at Prasad’s IMAX; the main venue for the 19th edition of the international Children’s film festival which was held from November 14-20 in Hyderabad.

Craft Burgers Launch at Chili’s
Chili’s launched Craft Burgers at Chili’s Restaurant. They hosted a Harley bike rally from Chili’s Inorbit to Chili’s Banjara Hilla. The Harley Bikers will finished their rally and come to Chili’s at 7 pm , park some 40 bikes , and then launched Craft Burgers , a specialty Burger of Chili’s along with other appetizers , there was also a table laid with food and drinks for photographers and media.

Ashima is a happy-go-lucky kind of a girl who doesn’t take stress and gives either; she is very sensitive at the same time. Spiritual but not too religious, she loves to travel, a big foodie and a born actor. Ashima is a huge Priyanka Chopra fan too.
Tell us about your work? I started working for Indian Film Industry at a very young age. I was about 15 when I did my first movie Rudraksh and what a sweet coincidence that it was shot in this beautiful city of Hyderabad. The second movie was 2 years later that too was shot in Hyderabad, seems like I have a strong connection with this city “Pyaar karo Bindaas” where I played the parallel lead. I worked for a model coordination company for two years. I took a little break from the industry as mom wanted me to go to the US for my further studies. Where I ended up working for Hudson Belk and Walmart as an assistant manager which I thoroughly enjoyed. I Always loved my country and wanted to come back. I came back in 2009 then started working in the ad world did ads like Asian paints with Saif, Dabur Chywanprash with Dhoni, Kinder joy, Taj Mahal again with Saif, Videocon with Ritesh and Anurag Kashyap, Johnson & Johnson, Rasna, Kellogg’s and mostly all the brands. I have done a few cameos in TV shows like Adalat and fear files. I was recently featured in five videos like Going To The Gym, Chicken Fried Rice, Mujhe Wifi Chahiye, Mere Karan Arjun Aayenge and Mooh La La for CNBC Awaz. Going To The Gym and Chicken Fried Rice has gone viral with two million views on Youtube and Facebook all together. How has the journey been in this field? There was a lot of struggle, competition, hard work and nonstop working for 20 hours, that came along with a lot of confidence to see the world in a different perspective. Being independent was one lesson; doing all your work on your own from cooking to washing clothes which I never did in my life. So, the journey has been amazing 20 DECEMBER, 2015
What do you do in your leisure time if you are not working? Travel, work out, catch up on the movies that I have missed and spend some time with my cute little Macy who I love more than anything, that’s my Shih Tzu dog. Recording Dubsmash, going shopping, meeting friends or visiting my mom and dad.

What does it take to be a successful in the field you excel in? A lot of determination, focus, patience and of course a lot of talent. Tell us something about your family? I am from Ludhiana (Punjab). My mom was an H.O.D for past 25 years at Punjab Agriculture University. She is a big book worm as her qualifications are beyond my imagination. My dad works for Ladakh tourism and is a renowned photographer. He has his own calendars, thought books, map guide for Ladakh and few places in Himachal Pradesh. I have a little brother who is doing his B.C.A from Lovely University Jalandhar (Punjab). He is one brat. We fought like cats and dogs. It’s all sorted now and finally I grew up. What is your next step, in terms of your work? To be serious I go with the flow, but I never say no to any opportunity which comes my way. Will continue doing my ads and catalogues, I would love to work in one Telugu film for sure, I am a huge fan of Telugu movies and have started talking in the language too not an expert though but try that often with my maids, people here are more humble and kind, especially in this industry than Mumbai. Would love to work with Prabhas and Ravi Teja, what brilliant actors!
Rapid fire 3 things you don’t leave home without? Perfume, lipstick, phone. Where would you take your next holiday to? Bora Bora. Soundest advice you have received by far? That I am too friendly and loosen up very easily, I should not do that. One thing that cheers you up immediately? A big smile on someone’s face. Your idea of a perfect day? Head out, do some shopping, have lunch at a 5-star and at night watch a movie all by yourself. Your strength? Myself. Where do you see yourself in the next 5 years? Right here! Giving interviews to you. (Laughs) Quick advice for young and budding people of the glamour industry? Keep calm and be focused; if you are talented you will reach where you want to be and have confidence in what you do! Your inspiration and why? Priyanka Chopra! She really inspires me a lot. Vamsi is a hard working person, passionate and a positive thinker where as Vidya is very friendly, down to earth and an ambitious woman. We speak to both of them and know more about their love story.
Is it a love or arranged relation? Vidya: It was a love cum arranged. It was a four year old love story with many twists and turns which turned into a beautiful marriage and here we are holding each other very strongly. Work: Vamsi: I started working as a news reader and I also worked as an actor which did not work for me. I always had dream of directing a movie which made me take my first step as a story writer and today I am well known as a writer for many successful films. Vidya: I started as a child artiste for a daily soap for which I bagged many awards as a best child artiste then I acted in many serials. I was also a dance mentor for reality show called Aata which got me immense popularity. I then took a big gap and re-entered as a host which am still continuing to do. I enjoy my work and I am very passionate about it. Best memorable moment of your togetherness by far? Vamsi: There are numerous memorable moments with her but I think each and every moment we spend together becomes memorable. Vidya: Many to mention but if I have to pick one it will be our first trip to Singapore after marriage, it was mesmerizing. One common passion you both share Vamsi and Vidya: We both love Movies and somehow dedicate time towards it even in our work. Where do you both see yourself in your field of work in the next 5 years? They are hit at social scene but we talk to them and find out more on a personal level. Mr. Raj Thakur a well known business man and holder of Guinness book of world record with his wife Manali Thakur talk about their love marriage and how they are a source of constant support for each other, behind every success so far and many more to come. Tell us about yourself Manali Thakur: I am a Hyderabadi and married a north Indian, I met him in US, it was a love marriage where my parents were totally against it but with my sisters support and some good luck we passed all hurdles and finally got married with our parents blessings and I think it was the best decision of my life. Our wedding was a grand affair and you can say it was a big fat Indian wedding with lot of celebrities, who came in to share their warm wishes. My husband is very supportive and I stand by him in every decision he makes, he respects me and gives me opportunity to grow returning the support in anything I do. Raj Thakur: I am a fitness freak, I love working out and socializing with people. My passion lies in sports and I love to play football since my school days, I opted for kick boxing, power lifting, martial arts, I am also taekwondo black belt. I belong from a non-political background, but since I was a kid I actively participated in helping with many issues around that time, especially when anti-social groups attacked people. We started an awareness program and got involved in politics, and then I shifted to Hyderabad and proceeded with my political career by joining congress and working on a national level with Rahul Gandhi. I was announced as the Chairman, Sports Authority of A.P. Manali Thakur: I can proudly say he was the youngest cabinet member, he also stood for MLA which we lost by mere 2000 votes, which I must mention was very close; but we learnt a lot from the process and it has only helped us grow. He is also the president of Birla group of companies (Ramagundam) Raj Thakur: She is very supportive of my work and me; I am really grateful to have her in my life and taking care of things when I am not around. I love her a lot, she can solve any issue and makes me really happy. How was life been growing up and post marriage? Manali Thakur: As a child I was a pampered brat. I worked as the director of an international company before marriage. Post marriage my 3 kids, social life, and politics have kept me busy. My husband is
a fitness freak so we spend a lot of time concentrating on health and workout regularly. Our fitness instructor - Mr Jayanth Reddy is also holder of Guinness book of world records, 10 times. How is a normal in your busy life? Raj Thakur: I wake up early, have my breakfast and go to office and have nonstop meetings, in the evenings I head to workout. There is no rigid routine or time fixed, I visit villages and my constituency during weekends and give my entire time there. If you were not into Politics, what would you choose to be? Raj Thakur: I would be a full time Business Man; even at present I am involved in Real Estate projects and have completed several projects all over the city like Resorts and Hotels. Where do you vision yourself in the next five years? Raj Thakur: I vision myself to do more of Social Service, give my best and do well for the people around, especially for our beautiful state that already has so much of inbuilt resources. Are you involved with any NGO’s? Manali Thakur: We support a lot of organizations by helping the needy especially the women who need support to earn a livelihood by providing basic necessities so they can work and earn their own bread. We are actively involved in many charity trusts and believe in giving back to the society in any way we can and designate 2 days a week especially for this. How do you spend your leisure time? Raj Thakur: I spend my time working out, watching television and with my family. hat is the best thing that happened to you this year? Well, when someone asks you such a question; you would literally have so many to pick from, I bet. This is because - the definition of happiness is different for different individuals. To some, happiness would be watching the sunset at peace, leaving all the worries of life behind while to others it would be a promotion or a pay increment in their job. But, actually what do you mean by happiness? Is it a state of mind which brings joy in your life Or is it when you are so gleeful that your heart skips a beat? I feel personally, that, happiness is what makes you realise your worth in life and what/who you actually are. It’s when you don’t have to shout to the world that something good has recently happened to you because your heart does that for you. It is certainly when you don’t wish to be anything but yourself and you pray for more such days because this is “the one day” in your life that got you on cloud nine. It’s over now but it’s memories don’t seem to stop coming to you as flashback bringing a fine smile on your face even on dull days or times when you feel hurt.. st at home ju e d a m e can b sserts that e d h it w s d e taste-bu Tickle thos Sweet Potato Souffle Ingredients 3 cups cooked and mashed sweet potatoes, 3/4 cup white sugar, 1/3 cup butter, softened 2 1/3 eggs, 1 teaspoon vanilla extract, 1/2 cup milk, 1 cup flaked coconut, 1/3 cup all-purpose flour, 1 cup packed brown sugar, 1 cup chopped nuts, 1/3 cup melted butter. Directions Preheat oven to 350 degrees f (175 degrees C). Combine the mashed sweet potatoes with the white sugar, soft butter or margarine, beaten eggs, vanilla and milk. Spoon into a 2 quart oven proof baking dish. Combine the coconut, flour, brown sugar, chopped nuts and melted butter. sprinkle over the top of the sweet potatoes. Bake at 350.
Heavenly Chipped Chocolate and Hazelnut Cheesecake 2 cups semisweet chocolate chips, 1 1/2 cups vanilla wafer crumbs, 3/4 cup toasted ground hazelnuts, 2 tablespoons white sugar, 3 tablespoons melted butter, 3 (8 ounce) packages cream cheese, softened 1 cup white sugar, 3 eggs beaten, 3 tablespoons hazelnut liqueur, 13 skinned toasted hazelnuts, 4 tablespoons sour cream, 1 tablespoon hazelnut liqueur Directions Using a blender or a food processor, finely chop 1/3 cup semisweet chocolate chips. Place in a small mixing bowl. Add vanilla wafer crumbs, ground hazelnuts, 2 tablespoons white sugar, and melted butter or margarine. Mix until well combined. Press onto the bottom and up the sides of a 9 inch springform pan. Bake in a preheated 300 degrees F (150 degrees C) oven for 15 minutes. Cool. In a large bowl, beat the cream cheese until fluffy. Gradually add 1 cup white sugar; mix well. Add the eggs and 3 tablespoons liqueur. Mix until well blended. Coarsely chop 1 cup of the semisweet chocolate chips, and add to the cream cheese mixture. Stir. Pour batter into the cooled crust. Bake at in a preheated 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) oven for 1 hour. Let cake cool for 1 hour. Remove outer ring from pan. Then let cool completely. Melt 2/3 cup semisweet chocolate chips over hot (not boiling) water. Stir until smooth. Dip 13 hazelnuts into the chocolate, covering one-half of each nut. Shake off the excess chocolate. Place on a waxed-paper lined plate. Chill until set. To the remaining melted chocolate, add sour cream. Mix well. Stir in 1 tablespoon liqueur. Spread glaze on top of the cooled cheesecake. Garnish with chocolate dipped hazelnuts.

Their graphics are one of a kind and they keep experimenting with shapes and styles a lot. Prints By Radhika “The whole idea behind launching prints by Radhika was to make art meet couture which I personally had never seen in the fashion industry of India. Hats off Accessories Sunaina Harjai was always passionate about launching her own label, inception of Hats off Accessories was to offer a product to the market that is not already there and it’s offering handcrafted leather shoes made in India, with a mark of quality and international designs at an affordable cost. “I have studied Retail Management Honors from Pearl Academy and interned at several places including Salvatore Ferragamo as a sales executive and took a semester in London College of Fashion! During my stay, I found out about British heritage, culture and how the beautiful brogues which is a mark of their tradition are made in our factory back home, however they come with the cost of licensing and retail space costs, so I worked on a concept of Radical Transparency for our leather shoes and accessories, where products to consumer come directly via factory and are of genuine leather, made by age old craftsmen yet they are affordable because of elimination of added cost. Today working woman need something else to wear other than just ballerinas, hence we offer loafers and brogues, where they can go from desk to dinner, and for market of men’s shoes, huge chunk is missing in affordable luxury and that is what Hats Off will complete. Hats Off is bubbling with ideas right now, we just started and are still in incubation period, however we are working on extending our online presence, as currently we are available on Jabong, and Koovs and soon we want to enter other e-commerce sites, explore possible collaborations with apparel designers and hopefully we will be launching brick and mortar store very soon being planned by my brother, Siddharth Harjai, who has also studied Footwear design from London College of Fashion and is the head designer. We are soon going to launch our digital bespoke section, where clients will be able to choose types of leather, color, sole etc and have it customized. We are working on our next range which will have digital printed leather soles, leather espadrilles and leather sneakers. I think our journey has been overwhelming; we have sold more than 200 pairs in less than 6 months, which is not so bad for a start up. We have done many exhibitions after that and every time we have some amazing people compliment our product, so we do get a lot of positive and amazing review by fashion critics. The best part is the clients have loved our collection of handcrafted leather brogues, which is so experimental for the Indian Market, a lot of clients do suggest we should add more range of wedges, heels etc, however our brands USP shall remain the legacy of our genuine leather brogues”, adds, Sunaina.

Dish: Bread Stuffed Bites Preparation Time: 10 minutes Ingredients – cheese slices mayonnaise bread slices Butter room temperature Pepper powder 2 medium sized onions 3 carrots Half capsicum 2 green chillies and a small bunch of lettuce Method: All you have to do is finely chop onion carrots capsicum and lettuce mix them all together in a big bowl. Now add pepper powder, green chilies and 5 table spoon of mayonnaise and mix well. Take bread slices cut the sides of the bread, spread butter over the slices place a cheese slice and put the stuffing and your yummy Mayo veggie sandwich is ready to eat.
Dish: Butter fried Peanuts Ingredients: Butter Peanuts Onions Tomatoes Lime Chilli powder Salt Coriander Method : In a pan drop a little butter on slow heat, once the butter gets a little hot add the peanuts and let it fry in the butter until it gets dark brown. In a bowl chop onions and tomatoes into small pieces and stir well, now add the fried peanuts to the mixture and squeeze the lime on top of it, stir the mixture well and add coriander for garnishing. Ingredients 1 bowl Chicken Ginger and Garlic paste Chilly powder, Turmeric powder Coriander powder Cummin seeds powder Chicken color (Red) Chicken masala, Curry leaves, Green chilies, Oil, Lime, Salt Method : Wash the chicken properly, add chilli powder, turmeric powder, coriander powder, cummin seeds powder, ginger garlic paste, chicken color,chicken masala and salt. Marinate it properly and let it rest for 15 mins, Now add oil in a Wok and let it heat, once the oil is heated drop the curry leaves and green chillies into the oil. Now add the marinated chicken into the oil and stir well until the oil is mixed with the chicken , now add 1/2 a glass water and let the chicken cook properly until the water is dried up. Once the water dries up the oil will come on top of the chicken, add some lime and coriander and let it cook for 10 mins on slow heat. Your dish is ready to serve Approximate time: 25 mins

Dish: Veg Quesadillas Prep & Cooking: 60 mts Makes approx 6-7 quesadillas Ingredients: For the vegetable filling: onions, finely chopped cabbage, beans, grated carrots, capsicum, baby corn, sweet corn, green peas, mushrooms, spring onions ,capsicum, paneer, tomatoes and coriander leaves. salt to taste red chilli flakes 3/4 – 1 cup grated cheese 1/2 cup sour cream (optional) For flour tortillas: 1 3/4 cups flour 2 tbsps butter 1/2 tsp salt 1/2 tsp baking pwd approx 1/2 cup warm milk or water
Take the vegetable filling and place in the centre of each tortilla, spread a tbsp of sour cream, sprinkle grated cheese and wet the edges of the tortilla with water. Place another tortilla on top and press the edges. Take a fork and press along the edges. Pre-heat griddle and on medium heat with oil, roast both sides of the quesadilla flipping over to toast both sides over medium heat, so that cheese melts. Serve on a plate, slice into triangles with a pizza cutter and serve hot with salsa or tomato sauce.
1 First combine all the ingredients except milk. Now slowly add the warm milk or water to knead to a soft dough for 4-5 mts. Keep aside for 15 mts and prepare the vegetable filling. 2 Make lemon sized balls of the dough and using a rolling pin to roll out like very thin rotis of approx approx 8”-9” size. 3 Pre-heat a griddle and place each tortilla for only 4-5 seconds on each side and remove. Keep aside all the lightly toasted tortillas. For the vegetable filling: Saute the garlic and vegetables in olive oil for 3 mts, season with salt and red chilli flakes.

Christopher waltz role is not as powerful as expected but provides chilling reason for bond’s exotic chase from mexico-rome-swiss alps- London. Ralph fiennes justifies his role but spectre falls behind the emotional quotient of skyfall. Neverthless, it is loaded with muscular machines flipped with style and Daniel craig’s trademark flamboyance.
Prem ratan dhan payo It has the extra sweet elements of a rajshri movie all packed in a palace which have become passé in today’s time. However, Salman’s aura and his stardom balance out everything. The predictable plot and family virtues get overloaded. The romance of the lead pair stands out and sonam fits the bill of a princess. Their notion of ‘intimacy only after marriage’ and Anupam Kher’s interactions provide comic relief. The heavy star cast is a distraction but salman aka prem brings out another stellar performance to add in his kitty. No one else can play Mr. Goody Shoes shoes so well.
Akhil The scion of akkineni family has captured the hearts of the audience with his charming screen presence, good voice and terrific dance movements. His ease with stunts are a treat but needs to improve his expressions. He is here to stay. But the movie disappoints viewers with its lacklustre screenplay. The songs are appealing and so is ‘king’ nagarjuna’s cameo. You will leave the screen humming to “padesave padesave”. Sayesha is cute and plays her part well. Rajendra Prasad is good as usual, the comedy track provides some relief especially ‘sapthagiri’ while the cinematography is top notch. Overall, it dampened the expectations of v.v. vinayak fantasy film but has succeeded in cementing akhil’s star status.
