PROJECT DESCRIPTION This project is an 8 story mixed use building, where the ground floor is retail, followed by 3 office floors, then, 4 apartment floors. There is also an underground basement carpark. The core takes up 12.5% of the floor space, making these floors 87.5% efficient. The structure of the building is base isolated in the basement, with reinforced concrete columns and beams, and double tee flooring which spans between the primary beams. The structural grid is 9x9m, and the planning grid is 1.5x1.5m to accommodate for offices and carparks.
