Mammoet staat synoniem voor grensverleggende transporten en hijswerken. De berging van de verongelukte Russische onderzeeër Koersk laat zien dat Mammoet het onmogelijke mogelijk maakt. Mammoet werkt wereldwijd aan projecten in de petrochemie, offshore, power, maritieme en civiele industrie. Wereldwijd zijn ruim 3.800 medewerkers werkzaam bij Mammoet.

Mammoet is synonymous with groundbreaking transport and lifting operations. The salvage of the wreck of the Russian nuclear sub­marine Kursk demonstrates how Mammoet achieves the unachievable. Mammoet carries out worldwide projects for companies in the petrochemical, offshore, power, maritime and civil-engineering sectors. All over the world more than 3,800 employees are working with Mammoet.

For more than 45 years Mammoet, a traditional Dutch concern, has been carrying out the most challenging lifting and transport operations all over the world. Mammoet’s staff carry out their work in the most extreme conditions – ranging from freezing no-man’s land to sweltering sand plains.

Consequently Mammoet knows better than anyone else how people need to protect themselves when they have to work in the most extreme conditions. With this idea in mind Mammoet has developed yet another premium quality, thoroughly reliable and accredited Workwear and Footwear collection. Sakhalin

Sakhalin is de meest extreme omgeving waar Mammoet werkt. Het Russische eiland is zeven maanden per jaar onder een ijspak bedolven; heeft een temperatuur van -40 graden Celsius en wordt jaarlijks getroffen door 30 blikseminslagen. Mammoet werkt er 24 uur per dag.

Sakhalin is the most extreme environment in which Mammoet operates. The Russian island is covered in pack of ice for seven months a year; has a tempereture of -40 degrees Celsuis and 30 lightning strokes each year. Mammoet is operational 24 hours per day.

Mammoet ontwikkelde al de grootste mobiele kraan ter wereld, maar komt nu met een nieuwe generatie ‘SuperHeavy-Lift’ kranen. De PTC 120DS en PTC 160DS zijn uniek omdat zij een liftcapaciteit van maar liefst 3200 ton hebben en voor elke type kraanwerk kunnen worden ingezet.

Mammoet had already developed the world’s biggest mobile crane, but has now added to that a new generation of ‘Super-Heavy-Lift’ cranes. The PTC 120DS and PTC 160DS are unique for their lifting capacity of up to 3200 tons and the fact that they can be used for any type of crane work.

Mammoet werkt mee aan het onderhoud van de 10 meter hoge en 220 ton wegende Zuidpool Telescoop op Antartica.

Vanwege de weersomstandigheden daar werkt Mammoet alleen tussen 15 november en 15 februari. De temperaturen liggen dan ‘slechts’ tussen de -20°C en -40°C.

Mammoet helps with the maintenance of the South Pole Telescope on Antarctica, which has a height of 10 metres and weighs 220 tons. Because of the extreme weather conditions, Mammoet works only between 15 November and 15 February.

Het laat geen druppel vocht binnen, maar ademt wel. Het resultaat: droge en warme voeten. Dankzij het GORE-TEX® membraan kun je de hele dag in het water staan.

De basis voor een goede pasvorm is de leest. Mammoet werkschoenen gaan standaard uit van leesten met voldoende ruimte rond voorvoet en wreef. Zo heb je meer stabiliteit en comfort. Naast Mammoet werkschoenen zijn er nu ook Mammoet sokken: De Mammoet Cool sokken zijn geschikt voor warme werkomgevingen en de Mammoet Thermo sokken voor koude omgevingen.

Speciaal ontwikkelde garens zorgen voor droge en koele voeten, maken de sok antistatisch en voorkomen transpiratiegeur. De sokken dragen erg comfortabel: ze zakken niet af en de badstof zool over de tenen biedt extra comfort in schoenen met stalen neuzen.

Voor droge en zeer warme omstandigheden is MAMMOET AIRSYSTEM® ontwikkeld. In de schoen zit een ademend membraan dat lichaamsvocht snel afvoert naar de buitenlucht. Het resultaat: droge voeten.

MAMMOET AIRSYSTEM® was developed for use in dry and very hot circumstances. The shoe is fitted with a breathing membrane that quickly releases body moisture into the ambient air. The result: dry feet. The MAMMOET AIRSYSTEM® is combined with a top layer of breathing textile and a VENTAIR® inlay sole for dry and comfortable feet.

Falls are the number 1 cause of industrial accidents. Mammoet Workwear has therefore developed shoes that offer extra grip for any surface. Rubber soles with inventive profiles combining the correct depth with direction. For instance, the Horn, Edge and Tribe workshoes were modelled on the Self Propelled Modular Transporter (SPMT). The result: an antiskid sole with ultimate grip.

Om het Footwear assortiment compleet te maken, ontwikkelde Mammoet de Mammoet Cool en Mammoet Thermo sokken. De Mammoet Cool sokken zijn geschikt voor een warme werkomgeving en de Mammoet Thermo sokken voor een koude omgeving.

Elke sok heeft zijn eigen specifieke samenstelling van garens en vezels. Zo houdt Pro-Cool® de voeten droog en koel, onder alle omstandigheden. Het antibacteriële AmicorTM voorkomt transpiratiegeur. De sokken dragen zeer comfortabel omdat deze zijn voorgewassen en daardoor krimpvrij zijn. Zakken niet af dankzij Lycra® boord. Kortom, de ultieme sokken voor alle omstandigheden: van heel warm tot extreem koud.

Mammoet has designed the Mammoet Cool and Mammoet Thermo socks especially to complete the Footwear range. The Mammoet Cool socks ensure cool feet in hot working environments, whereas the Mammoet Thermo socks are especially suitable to wear in cold circumstances. All socks have their own specific structure of threads and fibers. The specially designed Pro-Cool® threads keep feet dry and cool under all conditions.

The antibacterial AmicorTM threads prevent perspiration odour.

The socks are prewashed to make them shrink-resistant, and that makes them extremely comfortable to wear. The Lycra® edge stops them from slipping down. The ultimate socks for all conditions: from very hot to extremely cold.
