Welcome to The Sharon L. Morse Performing Arts Center!
Much like the building’s namesake, my grandmother, Sharon L. Morse, we love all varieties of the performing arts here. It is in her memory that I, along with my amazing team of artists and arts administrators, strive to bring many different types of the highest quality entertainment here to The Sharon.
Since opening in 2015, we have strived to establish your trust, that a show at The Sharon is a show worth seeing. Perhaps you find yourself here today to see a concert of one of your favorite musicians, or to take in the national tour of a Broadway show. Either way, we encourage you to consider trying out a new show that perhaps you haven’t heard of before, knowing that it has been intentionally curated by our team.
We welcome you to The Sharon: a place for you to see an old favorite, but also a place to discover your new favorite. I sincerely hope you enjoy the show today, and I look forward to seeing you here again soon!
See You at The Sharon, Whitney Morse

Meet Tora Himan, the dazzling, larger-than-life, and fabulously curvy camp queen! Known for being the ultimate life-of-the-party, Tora is your go-to glam queen with a penchant for pumpkin spice, a love affair with glitter, and an unabashed embrace of her persona that you just can’t help but adore.
Tora’s journey began in the world of musical theatre, where, despite never landing the coveted boy roles, she gracefully transitioned into becoming the leading lady herself—ultimately blossoming into a full-time drag queen extraordinaire! Hailing originally from the enchanting woods of Pennsylvania, Tora’s upbringing was a unique blend of farm life, cow milking, helping out at the family butcher shop, and twirling a baton in her backyard while donning a muumuu (yes, seriously!).
Currently captivating audiences in and around Orlando, Florida, and proudly calling New Orleans, LA, her home, Tora Himan is a force to be reckoned with in the drag scene. No fast pass required for this “Himan” experience! Tora boasts an impressive collection of pageant titles, including Miss Rose Dynasty 2019, Miss Citrus State Comedy Queen 2019, and the esteemed title of Queen of Camp from Season 2 of Camp Wannakiki.
Tora is not a stranger to The Villages, she was seen in 2023 in the sold out production of La Cage Aux Folles as Zaza/Albin.
Breaking barriers, Tora made history as the first Drag Queen for Virgin Voyages and also secured the title of the first Drag Queen in a Major Theme Park. A globetrotter at heart, Tora delights in exploring new corners of the world, relishing in Chinese food buffets, and, of course, expressing her unwavering admiration for the iconic Dolly Parton. Get ready to be captivated by Tora Himan’s charisma, uniqueness, nerve, and talent!
