The Sharon L. Morse ®
PERFORMING ARTS CENTER
Dear Patron of the Arts
,
Welcome to The Sharon® L. Morse Performing Arts Center! We are so grateful to re-open our doors after such a trying season. We invite you back to view the national and international performing art tours we host here for your entertainment. Much like the building’s namesake, my grandmother, Sharon L. Morse, we love all varieties of the performing arts here. It is in her memory that I, along with my amazing team of artists and arts administrators, strive to bring many different types of the highest quality entertainment here to The Sharon. Since opening in 2015, we hope we have established a relationship of trust; that any show at The Sharon will be a show worth seeing. Perhaps you find yourself here today to see a concert of one of your favorite musicians, or to take in the national tour of a Broadway show. Either way, we encourage you to consider trying out a new show that perhaps you haven’t heard of before, knowing that it has been intentionally curated by our team. We welcome you to The Sharon: a place for you to see an old favorite, but also a place to discover your new favorite. I sincerely hope you enjoy the show today, and I look forward to seeing you here again soon!

BIOGRAPHY An eighth-generation Floridian, National Geographic explorer Carlton Ward Jr. uses photography to inspire conservation of his home state’s nature and culture. Ward founded the Florida Wildlife Corridor campaign in 2010 to build public support for corridor science and keeping Florida wild. With fellow explorers Mallory Lykes Dimmitt and Joe Guthrie, he has since trekked more than 2,000 miles through the corridor, during two National Geographic-supported expeditions, to showcase a statewide vision to protect Florida’s wild places. Both expeditions produced award-winning books, PBS films, and widespread outreach. His current National Geographic project, Path of the Panther, is using sophisticated camera traps and intimate photojournalism to create an unprecedented glimpse into the life of one America’s most endangered and elusive predators. Ward is the author of four books, and his photographs have been published widely, including in National Geographic, Audubon, Smithsonian, and Nature Conservancy magazines. Wardhas received the Conservation Leadership Award from the Fish & Wildlife Foundation of Florida and the Rolex Artist-inExploration Award from the Explorers Club.

As a Christian woman, Della makes cakes, not judgment calls – those she leaves to God and her blue-collar husband, Tim. For the first time in her life Della has to think for herself. Her indecision about making a wedding cake for two women leaves Della and Jen at a crossroads covered and smothered in a mess of icing. PREVIEWS: NOV 22-24 PERFORMANCES: NOV 26-DEC 18
