Welcome to The Sharon® L. Morse Performing Arts Center! We are so grateful to re-open our doors after such a trying season. We invite you back to view the national and international performing art tours we host here for your entertainment. Much like the building’s namesake, my grandmother, Sharon L. Morse, we love all varieties of the performing arts here. It is in her memory that I, along with my amazing team of artists and arts administrators, strive to bring many different types of the highest quality entertainment here to The Sharon. Since opening in 2015, we hope we have established a relationship of trust; that any show at The Sharon will be a show worth seeing. Perhaps you find yourself here today to see a concert of one of your favorite musicians, or to take in the national tour of a Broadway show. Either way, we encourage you to consider trying out a new show that perhaps you haven’t heard of before, knowing that it has been intentionally curated by our team. We welcome you to The Sharon: a place for you to see an old favorite, but also a place to discover your new favorite. ABOUT THE OPERA LOCOS An unusual troupe of five eccentric opera singers are about to perform a repertoire of the greatest composers of their genre. Throughout the show they reveal to us their hidden passions and desires that will bring unpredictable and hilarious consequences. It will be a night to remember! The Opera Locos is a comic opera show where five exceptional lyrical singers perform some of the most well-known opera hits combined in a clever and original way with rock and pop classics. The Opera Locos wants to push opera closer to a general audience in a new, fresh and original way with high standards in technique and overall artistic discipline. The show integrates variety of opera numbers with Yllana’s unique physical comedy style ti create a truly spectacular experience for audiences of all ages. The Opera Locos was awarded the “Best Musical” at The Max Awards for the Performing Arts in 2019. The Max Awards is considered to be the most important performing arts award in Spain, comparable to the US Tony Awards.

ABOUT YLLANA Spain's award-winning comedy-theatre company, Yllana, was born in 1991 as a troupe that creates, produces, directs and distributes shows and other special events, as well as programming other theatrical venues and developing different cultural projects. BIOGRAPHIES ANTONIO COMAS Born in Barcelona, he made his debut with Massenet's opera Herodiade at the Gran Teatre del Liceu where he has performed on numerous occasions, including Strauss's Il Capriccio and Puccini's Turandot, at the reopening of the theatre in 1999. With the brilliant composer Carles Santos he maintained an intense and lasting collaboration that led him to premiere most of his great shows: La Pantera Imperial (1997); Ricardo and Elena (2000); L'Adeu de Lucrècia (2000); Sama samaruck suck suck (2002); The composer, the singer, the cook and the sinner (2003), La meua filla sóc jo (2005), Brossalobrossotdebrossat (2008) and Chicha Montenegro Gallery (2010). He has premiered with the director Mario Gas, the production of the Teatro Español de Madrid, Rise and fall of the city of Mahagonny by K. Weill, playing the role of the protagonist, Jim Mahonney, for which he has received the Chivas 2008 award in Madrid for the best singer of musical. In 2011, he premiered Amadeu, a musical show by Albert Boadella about the figure of composer Amadeu Vives, at the Teatros del Canal in Madrid, a role for which he has received the Ercilla Theatre Award for best actor, as well as the opera Yo, Dalí, by Xavier Benguerel and stage direction by Xavier Alberti, at the Teatro de la Zarzuela in Madrid and, later, at the Gran Teatre del Liceu in Barcelona. He has also starred in the operetta Candide by Leonard Bernstein with stage direction by Paco Mir. He has premiered the opera Il Sequestro by Alberto García Demestres at the Teatro Comunale Luciano Pavarotti in Modena and, by the same composer, the operas WOW!, within the Castell de Peralada International Festival, El Eclipse, at the Teatre Nacional de Catalunya, directed by Xavier Albertí and La straordinaria vita by Sugar Blood, at the Castell de Perelada Festival, in concert version. Participates in the new production of the Gran Teatre del Liceu of Una Voce in Off by Xavier Montsalvatge, with stage direction by Paco Azorín, and also in the play L'Hort de les Oliveres by Narcis Comadira at the Teatre Nacional de Catalunya, directed by Xavier Albertí. He has premiered the show La note d'acoté by Alfonso de Vilallonga at the Grec festival in Barcelona and at the Teatre Principal in Palma de Mallorca. In 2017 he participated in the play Richard III by W. Shakespeare at the Teatre Nacional De Catalunya, under the direction of Xavier Albertí. He has also premiered the opera Aprés moi le deluge by Miquel Ortega, based on a text by Lluisa Cunillé, in Barcelona and Zamora, and has on tour the shows Dancing with Frogs by Sol Picó and The Opera Locos, by the group Yllana. (Max Award 2019 for the best musical show). He has premiered the opera El Pintor, by Juan José Colomer, at the Teatros del Canal in Madrid, with libretto and direction by Albert Boadella, author of which he has also premiered El Pimiento Verdi, What if we fall in love with Scarpia? and Diva (currently touring Spain). BIOGRAPHIES the opera Demon by Anton Rubinstein at the Gran Teatre del Liceu in Barcelona and in Xavier Albertí's version of the classic El Gran Mercado del Mundo by Calderón at the Teatre Nacional de Catalunya and at the Teatro de la Comedia in Madrid.
MARÍA REY-JOLY Born in Madrid, María Rey-Joly began studying violin and piano and later graduated in singing with the best qualifications from the Escuela Superior de Canto of Madrid. She completed her training in the master classes of Gundula Janowitz, Brigitte Fassbaender, Raina Kabaiwanska and Plácido Domingo. With a scholarship from Verbier & Academy of Switzerland, she has been awarded in several international competitions such as the first prize in the VIII edition of the International Competition Francisco Alonso. Singer of great musical training, that has a special sensitivity for the scene, which stands out with her generous dedication to interpretation of her characters, always pursuing the maximum demand. Her vocal personality makes her a very versatile and flexible singer, which allows her to face a very varied repertoire with roles from Mozart to Wagner as well as zarzuela, where she is an appreciated interpreter. We can highlight titles such as: Das Rheingold (Woglinde), Götterdämmerung (Woglinde), Die Walküre (Ortlinde and Helmwige). Die Zauberflöte (Pamina and Erste Dame), Così fan tutte (Fiordiligi) by Giorgio Strehler, production of the Piccolo Teatro di Milano, Die Entfürung aus dem Serail (Konstanze), Don Giovanni (Donna Anna and Donna Elvira), Rita (Rita), Don Pasquale (Norina), Candide (Cunegonde), La Bohème (Musetta), Falstaff (Alice Ford), Henry Clifford (Annie Saint- John), Carmen (Micaela), I Pagliacci (Nedda), Agnese (Agnese) and Don Carlo (Elisabetta di Valois). Her theatrical training has given her the opportunity to work as an actress and singer in the creations of Albert Boadella, El Pimiento Verdi and Y si nos enamoramos de Scarpia. Performances carried with great success all over Spain. In addition, she is an integral part of the show The Opera Locos, of the company Yllana, winner of the Max Award 2019 in the category of best musical show. Show on permanent tour around the world. Again, from the hand of playwright and director Albert Boadella, she has returned to musical theatre in her latest work with the show Diva. MAYCA TEBA Soprano and Sevillian actress of great vocal and artistic versatility. Her repertoire ranges from Opera and Zarzuela to Musical Comedy, Jazz or Symphonic Rock. She is an Extraordinary Singing Award by the C.S.M. Manuel Castillo and postgraduate from the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama (Cardiff-U.K.). Perfect repertoire with C.Hacar in Córdoba, S. Mariategui and Edelmiro Arnaltes in Madrid, V. Iftinca at the Met in New York and A. Zedda at the Accademia Rossiniana de Pèsaro debuting in 2000 with the Opera Le Comte Ory at the Sperimentale Theatre. She is currently starring in The Opera Locos de Yllana, winner of the 2019 Max Theatre-Award. Began her lyrical career at the age of 20 at Maestranza Theatre in Seville with the producer Pino Cuccia, singing Le Nozze di Figaro, Die Rossenkavalier, La Notte di un Nevrastenico and Die Stumme Serenade. Developed her artistic career between England and the United States with producers Belinda King (Queen Mary 2) and Silverio Pérez (PuertoRicoTV). She is invited by the Spanish Consulate in Puerto Rico to premiere her concert 8

BIOGRAPHIES EDWIN PARRA Born on May 19th ,1993, in Chihuahua City, Mexico. He began his formal singing studies in 2011 at the UACH Faculty of Arts. He obtained a scholarship at the Sinaloa Opera Studio in 2015 - 2017. He was also a fellow of the SNFM Vocal Scenic Ensemble in Mexico City. He participated with the Ensemble Contratenores de México and is a member of the Mexico-Spain production of Yllana The Opera Locos. He has sung the operatic roles of Nerone and Ottone from Monteverdi's l'Incoronazione di Poppea; Cherubino from Le nozze di Figaro and The Cat from El gato con botas opera by Montsalvatge; she also performed Lumiere in the musical Beauty and the Beast. He has sung with the Symphony Orchestra of the Autonomous University of Chihuahua, the Sinaloa Symphony Orchestra of the Arts, the Zapopan Philharmonic and the Camerata Arcos from Querétaro. He has obtained the First place award at Ópera Durango 2016, Countertenor of Mexico in the Olivia Gorra 2017 contest; Honorable mention in the Trujillo, Peru 2019 singing contest and the Cantos para Hermanar al Mundo award in the Voices at Distance 2020 virtual contest. He has taken classes with Cristina Barragán, Carlos Serrano, Joan Dornemann, Carlos Aransay, Marduk Salam, Paola Castillo , Andrés Sarre, Katherine Ciesinski, Vlad Iftinca, André Dos Santos, Fernando Escalona, Alexander Weimann, among many others.
ENRIQUE SÁNCHEZ-RAMOS Enrique Sánchez-Ramos was born in Aranjuez, Spain. He began his musical studies at age 9 at the Joaquin Rodrigo Music School of Aranjuez, Madrid and holds degrees in Solfeggio and Piano Teaching as well as a Choral Conductor. In 1994 he began his vocal studies at the Professional Conservatory Teresa Berganza in Madrid. He made his operatic debut singing "Guglielmo" in Mozart's Cosi fan Tutte. Since his debut he has performed in the most important theatres and concert halls of Spain as Teatro Real, Teatro de la Zarzuela, Auditorio Nacional in Madrid, Teatro Baluarte and Teatro Gayarre in Pamplona, Teatro Campoamor in Oviedo, Teatro Auditorio in San Lorenzo de el Escorial, Teatro Arriaga in Bilbao, Teatro de la Maestranza in Sevilla, Teatro Pérez Galdós in Las Palmas de Gran Canarias.
