potlight I graduated from The Villages® Charter School, class of 2014. I was a Golden Girl all four years of high school, and was a part of the Varsity Golden Girl’s team since I was a sophomore. I taught dance briefly after high school and then was married to my high school sweetheart, Brandon Dellinger. We’ve been married for four years this past July. My amazing little boy, Rowan Stark Dellinger, will be two years old this November. For fun, I like to participate in the Arts- I was lucky enough to be included in the cast of Matilda: The Musical that just ended on September 22nd at the Ocala Civic Theatre. I’ve also just been cast as Shelly in Evil Dead: The Musical at the Reilly Performing Arts Center. Besides Theatre, I am a HUGE Harry Potter fan and a proud Disney addict. I also love to read, normally young adult fiction or fantasy based books. What is your role at The Sharon®? I am a Customer Liason at The Sharon L. Morse Performing Arts Center and work in the Box Office. Basically, this means that I am the face of The Sharon that our patrons get to see daily. I give out information to our patrons on what kinds of arts The Sharon/The Studio Theatre™/The Villages Entertainment has to offer alongside selling them tickets to events. What is your background and what got you started in theatre? My background is primarily in dance–Ms. Kathy Baker taught me everything that I know, she was my coach on The Villages Golden Girl team for three of my four years. I did one show in high school drama wise, Bye Bye Birdie. It was so much fun, but I never really had the confidence to try anything drama based until this past year. How did you find out about The Sharon and what made you want to work here? I’ve lived in The Villages area since 7th grade, so I had the opportunity to see The Sharon as a church before it was renovated into the beautiful home of the arts that it is today. I had been taught by Layna Sasser, who is on staff at The Sharon, and sent her a message asking if they were currently hiring. One thing led to another, and here I am–I’m just so thankful to be a part of the team at The Sharon. What’s your favorite part of the job? I honestly love to solve potential problems that people have. It makes my day when I am able to assist someone and make their day a little bit brighter. Being able to have a job that works so closely with the arts is a dream come true. What are you most looking forward to in your new role? I’m excited to be as helpful as possible in this new role–both to my everyday patrons and the staff at The Sharon. I’m a people pleaser, so if I can help people I am happy.
