IT’S JUST NOT THE HOLIDAYS WITHOUT THE NUTCRACKER!
Welcome to Judge Silberhaus’s festive Christmas party! His daughter Clara is given a fantastic Nutcracker Doll by her mysterious Uncle Drosselmeyer. She is enchanted by the gift. But in a fit of jealousy her mischievous brother Franz breaks the doll. Almost magically her Uncle Drosselmeyer’s handsome nephew fixes the toy! After such excitement, she falls into a restless sleep, dreaming of a fierce battle between an army of toy soldiers and huge wicked rats. The Nutcracker soldier battles the Mouse King, and is saved at the very last moment by Clara, who fells the wicked Mouse with her shoe. Lo and behold, he is the handsome nephew! To thank her for saving his life, he takes her on a wonderful journey. They travel through the Land of Snow to the Kingdom of the Sweets where the beautiful sugar Plum Fairy reigns over wondrous sweets from different lands.
As the Sugar Plum Fairy and her court wave goodbye, Clara’s Uncle Drosselmeyer mysteriously appears with the magical Nutcracker.

LONDON’S THE KINGDOM CHOIR first attracted the world’s attention when they performed their show-stopping performance of Stand By Me in front of a world-wide television audience of over two billion at the Royal Wedding of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle in May 2018. Since that infamous day the Choir’s infectious joy and spirit, matched only by their raw Gospel spiritual style, has taken them around the world including a debut North American tour in 2019 which took them to 29 cities including New York, Montreal, Toronto, Philadelphia, Las Vegas and Los Angeles’ Hollywood Bowl.
Founded in 1994 by award-winning conductor Karen Gibson, the choir draws from various Christian traditions and is dedicated to creating a sound that reflects the community they share through their warm energy and enthusiastic performances. The Choir’s recording of Stand By Me went straight to the top of the Billboard charts and they released a full length recording on Sony Music. The Choir has performed and told their overnight success story through numerous media outlets including ABC’s Good Morning America, CBS This Morning, NBC’s The Today Show (where they welcomed Hoda Kotb on her return from maternity leave), NPR’s All Things Considered, The Kelly Clarkson Show, The New York Times and many more.

AS WELL-KNOWN FOR THEIR BIZARRELY TEASED HAIRCUTS as their hit single "I Ran (So Far Away)," A Flock of Seagulls were one of the infamous one-hit wonders of the new wave era. Growing out of the synth-heavy and ruthlessly stylish new romantic movement, A Flock of Seagulls were a little too robotic and arrived a little too late to be true new romantics, but their sleek dance-pop was forever indebted to the short-lived movement. The group benefitted considerably from MTV's heavy rotation of the "I Ran" video in the summer of 1982.
Hairdresser Mike Score (lead vocals, keyboards) formed A Flock of Seagulls with his brother Ali (drums) and fellow hairdresser Frank Maudsley (bass) in 1980, adding guitarist Paul Reynolds several months later. The group released its debut EP on Cocteau Records early in 1981, and while the record failed to chart, its lead track, "Telecommunication," became an underground hit in Euro-disco and new wave clubs. The band signed a major-label contract with Jive by the end of the year, and their eponymous debut album appeared in the spring of 1982. "I Ran (So Far Away)" was released as the first single from the album, and MTV quickly picked up on its icily attractive video, which featured long shots of Mike Score and his distinctive, cascading hair. The single climbed into the American Top Ten, taking the album along with it. In the U.K., "I Ran" didn't make the Top 40, but "Wishing (If I Had a Photograph of You)" reached number ten later that year; in America, that single became a Top 40 hit in 1983, after "Space Age Love Song" peaked at number 30. "Wishing" was taken from the group's second album, Listen (1983), which was moderately successful. AUG 30 7PM

Fresh breakfast, warm bed, new beginnings.
In the early 1970s before women had places to turn in times of distress, they had to rely on a secret network of good samaritans. In When We Were Young and Unafraid, Agnes has turned her quiet bed and breakfast into one of the few spots where abused women can seek refuge. But to Agnes' dismay, her latest young runaway, Mary Anne, is having a profound and questionable influence on Penny, Agnes' teenage daughter. And as the drums of the feminist revolution grow louder, Agnes is forced to confront her own presumptions about the people she’s been trying to help. Deeply moving and beautifully rendered, When We Were Young and Unafraid explores the cycle of abuse, the passion of youth, the wisdom of age, and the people who awaken us to new possibilities.
