Welcome to The Sharon L. Morse Performing Arts Center!
This year marks a very special milestone—10 years since The Sharon first opened its doors. What began in 2015 as a bold dream has grown into a vibrant home for live performance, rooted in the adventurous and artistic spirit of my grandmother, Sharon L. Morse.
Over the past decade, we’ve been honored to earn your trust, show by show, standing ovation by standing ovation. Whether you’re here tonight to experience a beloved Broadway tour, a favorite artist, or something entirely new, know that every performance has been thoughtfully curated by our passionate team of artists and arts administrators.
As we celebrate our first ten years, we’re also stepping into an exciting new chapter: The Sharon is now proudly powered by Significant Productions, a registered nonprofit dedicated to creating meaningful, memorable arts experiences in our community. With this new foundation, we’re not only preserving what makes The Sharon special, we’re building toward a future filled with bold ideas, diverse stories, and even more opportunities to surprise and delight you.
Thank you for being part of this journey. We’re so glad you’re here. Enjoy the show, and here’s to the next ten years of discovery, connection, and applause.
See You at The Sharon, Whitney Morse

Nathan Chester is committed to the creating soul music that makes you feel and dance.
Nathan Chester, Chicago native, is not just a professional cruise ship singer but a multifaceted artist and entrepreneur. Presently residing in Nashville, Nathan’s journey into the spotlight began on NBC’s The Voice Season 25, where his soulful rendition of Al Green’s “Take Me to the River” captured the attention of John Legend and Dan + Shay, ultimately leading him to join Team Legend.
What a soulful, powerful voice,” Legend has said of Chester. “I love that he’s so committed to this throwback, soulful style. You can just tell he’s not afraid of the moment. I think Nathan’s gonna go far.”
Throughout the competition, Nathan’s performances were marked by their cinematic quality and powerful delivery, earning him accolades and a strong fan following. He showcased his vocal prowess with covers ranging from Soul classics “Try a Little Tenderness”, “When a Man Love’s a Woman”, and “It’s Your Thing” to con-temporary hits like Adele’s “Rolling in the Deep.” His journey culminated in a top-four finish, cementing his place as a standout artist in the season 25, 2024.
Beyond his musical achievements, Nathan is rooted in his hometown of Chicago, where he attended Oak Park and River Forest High School before pursuing a musical theater degree at Waldorf University. His dedication to his craft and entrepreneurial spirit are evident in his aspirations as a singer-songwriter and actor.
Alongside his girlfriend, Emily Viancourt, he co-founded Em & N Productions, where they curate performances for various venues including cruises and private events. Nathan and Emily’s ambition extends beyond performance, aiming to expand their production company and support fellow artists’ post-show.
Offstage, Nathan enjoys connecting with his community returning to Chicago for the first time since The Voice with performances including Wrigley Field and engaging with local schools. His story is one of perseverance and passion, driven by a love for music that continues to inspire audiences worldwide.
